Great place to hang out and play nice classic games. Even more fun early afternoons before it gets super busy.

Love that they now have vegan options! Great for a fun date, or after work drinks!
Good time play a few games 25cent a game 4 most, eat and relaxed. Its a chilled environment.
I love the lunch special. 15 bucks for a sandwich, fries, and a craft beer.
Amazing selection of arcade games, and craft beers on tap. Most machines are 25 cents, token machine is by the door.
This place was such fun! Went with my boyfriend and we felt like little kids again. Definitely a great experience. Must go!
Excellent atmosphere & draft selection. Best bar in NYC.
This place is so cool! Not only is the beer selection amazing, some of the best old school cabinet games are here. It was definitely a huge nastalgia trip for me. Some of these games I remember playing as a kid, others are from before my time, but all of them are a blast and super cheap. They use a token system to play ($1 = 4 tokens), and most of the games are 1 token ($0.25). Pinball is a bit pricey at around 3 tokens, but that's the only outlier. Check it out when you're near the 23rd Street stop on the 1 train.
No place to put your jackets or bags to go play games - seems like an oversight not to have a coat check. Also minimal seating area too. It's always packed and pretty annoying to get around if you don't have one of the 2 seating areas reserved for the whole party.
Gotta love barcade, beer + games.
Nuff said
Love the 4 person pacman. Better selection of games than other barcades in the city.
Always a good bet selection. Assume classic games. Staff very attentive.
Games are bit outdated and many classics are missing.
A lot of fun! The beers we had were different and tasty and they had a decent selection of games. We stayed about an hour and that was fun, I don't know if I could make a whole night out of it though.
Love the place. The drink menu is along the wall, there are bar food options to enjoy and cash is a good choice to trade for tokens to play the games. The bathrooms are also pretty unique with all the cool graffiti art on them
Great place for drinks and bar food. I had the fried chicken and waffles grill cheese. Awesome.
Really awesome beer list, great food. Duck nachos sound weird, but they're delicious and so worth the price! The games are really fun, and are kept up really well. I've rarely ever seen more than one down at a time. Really good lunch special
You can't really go wrong with a bar + arcade. It's a great place to check out. Long tap list, and a plethora of arcade games.
A great, large space for gatherings (social *or* corporate, I can attest to both) with a huge selection of beers on tap. Oh yeah, also there are videogames.
Games are in very good condition and shopped correctly. No broken sticks or the like. Bar portion is very good too.
Great selection of beer, games were reasonably priced. However, the selection is fairly limited, could use a shooter game TIME CRISIS!!!! Some of the multi player games did not have working controls for all players. Overall, great place to hang out and drink beer.
Awesome bar with incredible games!! Will definitely be back!!
Amazing blast from the past! Love the bar and the game selection is pretty great!
Variety of arcade machines in perfect condition. Place to feel a child again. You can have a drink or even have dinner. It is usually crowded on weekends. Important the ID, do not allow entry to children under 21 years
A typical night time bar with loud music and also Arcade machines from back in the day and some from not so far back in the day. It was enjoyable, if I lived in NY I would probably go more often with friends.
A great experience. A little pricy but we'll worth the nostalgia.
Good drinks, good beer selection. Most games are 25-50 cents. Selection of games range from old to new. Usually not too crowded, but always busy.
Love this place. 4 man pacman rocks and you can find alm kinds of old school arcade games.
Nice beer selection. They have Ms. Pacman and X-Men.
The bartender tried to call me out on the first round of drinks because she thought I didn't leave enough of a tip. No amount of cool atmosphere and games is worth putting up with that kind of entitlement and her attitude wasn't that good in the first place. We left after one round.
Over crowded and overrated. When the bar is near capacity, it's next to impossible to play their namesake games.
Loved it! Lots of arcade game. Big selection of beer. And delicious burgers and fries.
Great selection of craft beers coupled with decent bar food, accompanied by a huge selection of functional arcades. It's pretty much awesome.
Great games, good drinks, haven't tried the food, but looks like decent bar food. Try the four player Pac-Man game, it's addictive.
Classic games and a dope spot but gets really crowded
The idea behind barcade, a bar with good craft beer and vintage arcade games is great, but the execution is a little lacking. The beer menu is in fact pretty solid with lots of smaller name craft beers from a few local brewers as well. The menu is a bit heavy on the stouts and IPAs, but isn't bad. The downside is the crowd and the sticky machines. Catering to the video game crowd, you end up with some interesting characters here. In the two hours here, I was challenged to a racing game by a stranger who was just sitting in the game "challenging" any other patrons walking by, as well as getting pushed off the TMNT game. You can't fault the establishment for the crowd, but they don't help much. In fact the staff seemed to be pretty disengaged in general and when we reported a broken glass under one machine, they just shrugged. It wasn't cleaned up 15 minutes later.
Bar and arcade. How does it not get 5 stars. The beer list is amazing.
Beat the entire X-men machine with some friends, so it was fun. Nothing particularly special though.
Best spot on Chelsea to dine or unwind with a fine brewski
The space, game selection and bouncers were awesome. Everything else was terrible.
Most of the bartenders were dismissive and unhelpful. The crowd was unruly, excessively drunk and rude. Mostly upper crust midtown district trash. But again the bouncers were checking people left and right and kicking out the lushes that the aloof bartenders were creating.
Want games? Go to the St. Mark's location. Want the social life? Go to the Williamsburg location. Want to get in a fight with a drunk trust fund baby while a bartender rolls their eyes at you? Go here.
Great place to let loose and play some of the greatest arcade games. It's like taking a walk through time, 10/10 would recommend.
Absolutely love the Barcade! I think I still have the high score on Galaga. Cool spot to take a date or meet new people. Great drinks at the bar too. This place gets crowded.
Great bar! Good atmosphere!
And especially great arcade!
Amateur stop!
Great place with many games. Majority of the arcade machines are older and it could use more seating for patrons. Great for entertainment.
Many old arcade games, if you like it and have a beer it is a perfect place. Friendly staff. $ 7 for a beer. For me who drinks cider, there were only two choices, of dry cider. One was good so it was ok :)
Good music. Very quiet at 15-16 you should probably be there later if you are not a bunch of people.
Had a blast it was extremely fun. Had the original video games. I ordered long ice tea and a American beer
I went last night, a Wednesday night, and it was the perfect level of busy. There were available seats and plenty of available games, but also so many people to talk to. Great conversations. I loved my beers, 3 that I just picked at random. The games all work great and are in fantastic condition.
How can you not love this bar? Great beer and great games!
Food is great. Drinks are great. Prices are good. Staff is nice and friendly
Pretty dope bar, play games and drink all night? WINNING! The staff are pretty great and the prices are cool. And a few dollars goes a log way with the game
Beer and an arcade - what more do you need to have fun!!!
Found my favourite game at barcade that I spent many a day playing in my youth. I have a whole lot of love for tetris.
I do wonder how long Jim spent on it though!! But totally happy with my 7th.
And so totally wished there were xxs or even xs or s t-shirts available to buy as the tetris t-shirt was epic and I was very jealous of others being able to get one. Lovely atmosphere, a really enjoyable birthday spent playing all the games.
Fun atmosphere but can be very crowded even on weekday nights; can be hard to get a drink. Great beer selection. Also crowd tended to be hipster-chic.
Great place if you want to nerd out and have a bunch of drinks
Drinks and old school arcade games. What else do ya need? Didn't see any pinball but that doesn't mean they aren't there? Idk didn't look around much, good time.
Like arcades, like to drink and are around New York? Then you ll love this place. It s fairly priced and they have so many cool games.
Great and laid back bar with vintage games to play. Great selection of beers and the staffs are friendly and helpful. Place gets packed but not as pack as the one in the east village. Overall great concept and love the vintage games.
Was finally able to beat and take down Magneto in one of my favorite childhood videogames, X-Men. The bathrooms are pretty cool, they have grafitti everywhere but are really clean. Try their chicken and waffle grilled cheese, it's really good.
great variety of beers. Retro games. play for a quater. what more can I say.
A lot of fun! Great drinks and a great selection of games to play while you are enjoying them. Takes the normal bar scene from an eight to an eleven.
Crowded and so lame that the games need tokens and not quarters. The token machine didn't even accept quarters haha. Not enough pinball machines and all the games were from the 80s-- which is fine, but at least have more pinball.
Fine beers on tap, great selection of games, and a spacious location that's terrific for mingling. Will visit again!
Relaxed atmosphere, good beers on tap, and games galore. Didn't feel like I was being rushed through at any point, just a good time.
Great variety of drinks and nice service. Some places to sit if you'd like, but lots of games to play too.
This bar has amazing fries good arcade games and good drink
Happy Hour M-F ~4-7pm. They have a good variety of games, most of which are classics and some I've never seen before. Screens didn't seem to have any burn-in. They have a decent size bar, but I couldn't stay long enough to try their drinks or food.
Barcade is a super fun bar for groups, dates or just to blow off some steam. I loved the old school arcade vibe and the beer selection was really great (bartenders were super informative and friendly). Their happy hour is a pretty good deal (a beer and a shot for 10$), and makes for a really fun time!
