The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman Review

Wanted to give 5 star, every thing was wonderful. The reason for 4 stars was due to bar tenders at Barjack. Stopped once for food, bar tenders were very cold.... I can live with that; stopped the next day 6-7-2019 around 4. Waited about 10 minutes and was ignored; not even a sign of i ll Be with you soon . They did see my wife and I. Another couple stepped up and was served immediately, bypassing us. As we got up to leave no one said a word. They re rudeness glared out after having the greatest team otherwise.

What an amazing place to spend a few days on the awesome seven mile beach

Amazing. We stayed here for one week, during the off-season. From the moment you step through the doors, the attention to details begins. You are greeted with drinks, cookies & smiles. Every person in the resort is happy to help with anything. I loved how they make it a point to greet us individually, even when we're walking together. We loved our room, not a single thing I'd change. The la' Prairie spa was so wonderful! The sauna, whirlpool and showers are complimentary, and very relaxing!
Everyone wears a name tag with their own country's flag on it. They are happy to play the "do you know where I'm from" game, and also happy to tell you a little about their homeland.
Onur & Pamela from Andiamo's, Ben & Vilas from the hotel bar, and Tyler & TJ from BarJack's were all so kind, helpful and a pleasure to meet! Everyone treats you as if you're the only person there, and your needs are met above and beyond what you could expect.
I love this place, and I love the island. Such a wonderful experience! We will return, and won't think twice about where to stay!! Highly recommended.
P.S. Everyone addressed me as "Mrs. Gilchrist", and that kept me smiling...since we're not married...yet! I didn't correct anyone!! LOL

Fantastic experience. The staff is exceptional and the facilities are top notch. My 5-night visit was one of the best Ritz Carlton experiences of my life.

It's the metric by which all are judged... flawless.

The decor felt stale however the service and beach is everything expected from a Ritz Carlton. Watersports were the most fun and pool side the most relaxing . Don't forget the kids water park

Stunning location, but the umbrellas piled up next to each other make the beach the most beautiful in the world a beach on the Romagna Riviera

The service and quality of this establishment can't be compared to the other hotels, although you are going to pay for it! Wonderful staff, clean and up-to-date facilities with a wonderful set of activities for families with younger children.

Great location on 7 Mile Beach and the staff were very customer service driven. Excellent view from the lobby overlooking the pool and the water entryway leading to the golf course. Everything you need is within walking distance for your stay and the rooms were very comfortable.

The new Friday Funday Soiree is great fun for the whole family. If you're here on island, you gotta check it out!

There was just inability and lack of respect not only for us being Wellness and Fitness professionals but for care of our request which was to be able to give our son a 10 year old exercise in the fitness facility. Not only are we certified trainers and medical professionals we were blatantly disregarded and pushed to the side and told that we would have to workout around their fitness schedule in the group fitness room. This exception to allow us in the group fitness room could have been extended to the entire fitness area so that we weren t subject to planning our wellness around the fitness classes being given. When asked to be offered a yoga mat in our room to exercise indoors or outdoors in our time, we were denied and offered 1/3 of the request because the felt they didn t have enough to spare three. There was no offering of giving us three yoga mats after the class was over it was a simple no with check back later. 2nd rate service, and outdated policy on fitness especially with the rise of obesity in children kids fitness programs and opportunities should be adopted with no exceptions.

What can I say, the Ritz is the Ritz I can not afford to sat there but it is what it is.

Just an amazing place with the best beach and water in the world. Do I need to say anything else? If you are not coming to the Cayman Islands to hang at the beach and go in the ocean, go somewhere else!

Best family vacation we had so far. Very family friendly hotel that is focused on excellence in service.

I was very disappointed. The hotel management worked with my son's soon to be mother in law on a surprise proposal. The entire surprise fell through due to lack of communication with staff. To top things off the photographer didn't show up either.

We can t say enough nice things about this hotel. From checking in with Rachel from Florida, we felt welcomed. The room was spacious and amazing, and very clean. The staff all around the hotel was so cheerful- from the housekeeping staff to the hardworking people on the beach helping out- they all seem to love their jobs! Raymond the concierge was AMAZING, and went above and beyond with his help and recommendations. The on property dining was also extremely wonderful- we tried Blue, Taikun and were very pleased. We also chartered out on one of the hotel s boats for a 3 hour snorkel trip and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back!

It is pricey. Don t be surprised to pay $18 for a grilled cheese. That said, staff are accommodating and kids under 5 do eat free (if you are staying at the hotel).

As with any hotel, the 7am race down to the beach to reserve a chair can be tiresome. While we were there a company reserved an entire section of the beach which was really annoying considering that as a paying guest, it s first come first serve.

Can t say I had a bad experience anywhere in the hotel other than the prices and the above example. All round great place to go on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The Ritz always delivers. Apartment suites are a must for family vacationing. Dry rubbed ribeye at Seven is out of this world.

It s sooo expensive but you d expect that from a Ritz Carlton. Great hospitality as always. This one offers drinks and the famous rum cake which is so good! My husband booked us an ocean view room for a long weekend and we loved every moment of it. The weather was beautiful, the water crystal clear. The food was great and we tried all of the restaurants inside the resort. I would go back except that I have so many more places to travel. Highly recommend it for a once in a lifetime event at least.

Impeccable service, beautiful layout and gorgeous beach!

We're not so comfortable being this pampered and spoiled, but it sure is nice once in a while. Great food at Andiamo restaurant; relaxing pool right next door. Beach is ok, but crowded like all here are.

I love the food the beds are verb comfortable and the service is amazing. And Leroy was the best.

Amazing resort, beautiful hotel, awesome for kids & couples. Jody-Ann at the front desk made our stay so special and helped us with absolutely everything. Thank you!!

Nice hotel but really doesn't justify the price. Stay at Marriott, which is 80% as good for 30% of the price - or Kimpton.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN!! Sorry for the Caps, but it really is the nicest place I've seen from the beautiful perfect warm water and immaculate grounds keeping, friendly staff, delicious food and highly accessible to other places in the Grand Cayman. The Ritz-Carlton is very expensive, but you get what you pay for!

Spent 4 days at the hotel. Great service from the staff in all areas of the hotel. Truly enjoyed our stay. The pina coladas are awesome at the beach bar

The Ritz and the staff here is just amazing. They make you feel like you are from a royal blood line :) Great rooms, very clean, amazing service. I had never experienced anything better at a hotel.

Terrible experience upgraded my room and was told one thing by the desk clerk. When I got my bill it was totally different then what was stated by the person checking us in. Totally ripped off be careful when checking in bait and switch.

The property meets high standard of hospitality but lacks ambience and it's decor is now slightly dated. Good property if you're visiting Caymans for golf.

We just returned from a 5 day, 4 night stay. All I can say is AMAZING!! The hotel, staff, food, beach, pool, EVERYTHING was perfect!! The staff was so nice and friendly and always so happy and helpful!! The room was nice and clean and the beach and pool were perfect!! We can't wait to go back!!

Very beautiful resort, location, service, beach and everything was amazing! Loved everything about it. Just booked our next vacation to Caymans and so happy we will be staying at this same hotel
