The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman was magnificent. Their employees are so delightful. No matter where you are or what you are doing, you will be greeted or assisted with a smile. I realize that when you stay at a Ritz, the expectations are high but truly the staff goes way over and above. Every meal was fantastic, the hotel and landscape was meticulously kept. I usually like to try new places but I may have to break that habit and come back here!

A stellar retreat and everything you'd expect from the Ritz Carlton. While a large property, you have direct beach access and two pools. While the beach pool is usually busy with families, kids and floats, the other is quieter and pool attendants are always nearby and ready to help. The property is on 7 mile beach which offer perfect white sand, beach chairs, cabanas and access to other hotels. The Ritz has numerous restaurants...the sushi restaurant is great and offers fresh wasabi and cooked items, the Italian restaurant offers good food and pizzas and the beach restaurant offers perfect frozen drinks and pool-side service. The service is excellent and people always willing to help in any way. The hotel rooms are comfortable with access to Netflix in-room. A great getaway where expectations are always met.

This place is not worth the money. Could have easily stayed at the Kimpton or Westin and gotten similar amenities for far less. Additionally, do not sign up for any travel packages through the hotel as the Ritz completely upcharges the already gaudy packages. Upon exiting, we were unaware that we had registered for a package through the hotel, and despite staying for a full week the hotel wouldn t remove the charges of 300.00 despite us staying and spending well over 5k. Sorry, but that is incredibly poor service and not worth it.

Fabulous place to stay for a nice, relaxing getaway for couples and families with kids. Yes, it is a kids friendly and safe resort. They are EXTREMELY accommodating, supper clean and top notch service. I liked that they clean your room twice a day. The resort is situated in the center of the 7 mile beach and provides the best view of the ocean, perfect wind patterns for their inclusive water sports. The Grand Caymen Islands in general is a pure gem of mother nature with the cleanest and clearest blue ocean and its clean white sands!

Our stay here was wonderful. The people that work here go above and beyond to be accommodating, especially the breakfast staff/manager at their restaurant Seven. The rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable, and it s quiet. The beach is spectacular and our family loves the water sports that are included with your stay. We can t wait to go back!

Beautiful resort and a great beach. The food is pricy, but you are at the Ritz in Cayman... The gym and fitness center is nice and classes are included. Also, most beach activities are included in your resort fee.

It's still the Ritz of course, but it looks a bit dated, restaurants (esp the sushi place) need a refresh on their menus and the service overall needs some fine tuning. We had a great time, but for a place of this purported caliber (and price) you notice when there are continual small misses on service which was the norm during our stay.

I stayed at the Ritz GC the first week of March for a family vacation. My experience was honestly average AT BEST which is surprising considering the service that RC is known for. Three stars may honestly be generous.

Here is a list of some of what went wrong:
-My first night the alarm clock in the room must have been set by the previous guest - it woke both my husband and I up along with our 9 month old daughter. Never a great start!
- Our room not serviced by 2 pm on at least 1 occasion - the same was true of our other party (there was no sign on the door for privacy) - not acceptable
-We were harassed by iguanas at Andiamo - my 2 nieces were literally screaming because they kept approaching the table - despite repeated requests and an empty restaurant we were not moved to another table further from the wildlife
-Emails sent to the concierge with general hotel email in cc resulted in literally no response
-We had to request a pool umbrella to get my 9 month old shade maybe 4 different times one day and it took over 45 mins for it to arrive despite plenty of staff milling around
- Multiple levators were broken
-When I called to confirm our return car to the airport the concierge said they'd call back and literally never did
-Trash on the beach

Since the trip I took the standard survey that they send you- my responses must have flagged as the quality coordinator for RC GC reached out. I offered to speak with her because hopefully that would improve the experience for others and maybe unsurprisingly at this point she has blown off our scheduled call on 2 occasions.

Here is what was good:
- Beach is beautiful - we had no trouble getting chairs
- Service at 7 especially our waiter from france was amazing
- Thanks to the nice pool area woman with short blonde hair for finally bringing our umbrella (on multiple occasions you made our stay better)
- Laundry service was affordable, timely, and excellent
A good hotel for traveling with small kids - between two rooms we had 3 kids under the age of 5

I had the most fantastic week here. The grounds, accommodations, services, and amenities are both comprehensive and superlative. More importantly, though, the staff and level of service they provide is beyond measure; you are frequently and consistently made to feel that no detail has been or will be overlooked. I enjoyed the beach and ocean; water sports like kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding; one day in an Oasis Cabana, which is well worth it; drinks, snacks, and quick meals from and at Bar Jack; Sunday brunch at Seven; a Tasting Menu at Blue, which was fantastic; July 4th (locally known as "Constitution Day") celebrations including fireworks; and departed from the resort grounds for a Jet Ski tour with stops for Snorkeling and Sting Ray City as well as renting a Scooter for one day to explore the full Island. I would highly recommend not only Grand Cayman in general but the Ritz-Carlton specifically as the unquestionable place to stay.

The beach is incredible. Clear, warm, gentle water; soft sand; plenty of chairs. It's truly a great vacation destination. Guests of the hotel have complimentary access to non-motorized water activities (stand-up paddle boards, wind surfing, water trikes, etc), and they bring around plenty of beverage options too. The pool is also gorgeous, and the rooms and facilities are clean and show no real sign of wear even though the hotel is over a decade old. The neighborhood is safe and the staff is friendly. Strongly recommend.

Overall, resort is very nice and service is good. Given the size of the resort, it didn't feel like we received the indivual attention other luxery resorts provide. Also, the additional $75 a night resort fee seems a bit high, though the use of their water sport equipment and valet parking partially offsets that cost. Rooms are nice and clean, but could use a refresh. Highly recommend upgrading to the ocean side, otherwise you will not have an ocean view and the walk to the beach from your room will be about at least 15-20 minutes.

Had dinner at the Periwinkle Restaurant, one of the restaurants in the Ritz-Carlton. One of the most delightful meal I've had on the island. The service and staff were excellent and courteous, the setting was luxurious, tropical and clean, and the food was fresh, delicious and fairly healthy. A bit pricey, but not overly so in comparison to other restaurants, especially given the high standard they set!

beautiful place, great menu. Wife s steak came out ok. Mine came out wrong, sent it back and then came out again wrong. Cooked another steak only to be disappointed. Not about the money but but I left hungry and defeated. They did take the steak off and the sides but still sucks when it s your anniversary.

They need an adult only pool. The service was great and the food was wonderful at every restaurant we tried. The resort is nice, but it's big and crowded. Our room was too far removed from the ocean, an ocean view room would have made a big difference. Overall experience was good.

We just returned from a week at this lovely property and have nothing but fantastic things to say! The service, staff, amenities and grounds were all best in class. No attention to detail is left undone. The accommodations for young children are superb. We rarely encountered a staff member who did not greet us and ask if there was anything we needed. Special shout outs to Dwight @ the waterpark; Travis @ the waterpark; Kevin @ the ocean tower pool. We cannot say enough good things about the Club Lounge - the food, drink and most importantly, staff were amazing. We met many wonderful people who provided amazing service (Christian, Shirley, Joe, Nepali) but left a part of our hearts with Miss Luz and Miss Joie; we can't wait to come back and visit. What a fantastic place to spend a week!

The ONLY reason our stay at this resort is getting two stars is because the beach and water are wonderful. Otherwise, if you enjoy paying more for pandering service (where the details that matter are forgotten, but they always try (struggle?!) to remember your last name), then you'll enjoy overpaying for this experience.
Subpar food, aggravating--and unnecessary--calls from staff inquiring incessantly about service, and a so-so atmosphere await you if you'd like to pay for it.
Maybe I'm biased--we had a stellar stay at a resort in Hawaii--and maybe I'm expecting too much, but, I mean, it's the Ritz, right?! Isn't that what they're supposed to be all about?
Nice people on staff--nothing personal; I'm positive the problem is the management, and overall, this resort misses the mark.

This place is definitely one of my new favs. There is nothing missing from this amazing resort. The food, amenities, staff was top notch. The price is high but just about right for the level and quality of service and goods.
