Good ambience, above average food and well-trained professional staff who are very polite and attentive. Carpark's a nightmare, needs renovation to keep in line with the image of the establishment. Dingy and water leaking from the ceiling, totally unacceptable.

This is a classic but dated hotel. There are some lovely rooms. The bathrooms are small with the shower and bath combination. Great location. The wine bar on the ground floor is exceptional. The famous bar in the 3rd floor is overpriced and not worth it. Overall we like the hotel and excellent service.
Location is simply great. U r close to Orchard Road while if u want u can have privacy. Hotel interiors really nice. Great restaurants ( Italian, Japanese and Chinese). Great concierge service. To be recommended simply because price and quality of service are worth of it.
I attended my niece's wedding in August. The place was very clean and house-keeping were very efficient. I would suggest that the Waitresses at the Basilico restaurant to be more polite and let their patrons passed first when they crossed path (instead of us having to step aside for them to pass. They may have their hands full but most of us have our hands full too. It's buffet breakfast) they must have tought that they have the right of way. Need more training.
Being asked by doorman am I come here for food delivery upon the entrance, the service staff make sure I will order wine before I order any anything else at park90, service staff chasing for nasi goreng by yelling at another staff. Is nice to see the harmony friendship between the staff but not through chit chat at the lounge with non controllable voice. Want to have a glance at the buffet but being rejected. The food and beverage served are beyond average. The only good point.
The bathroom is dark because it is old. When water flows in the wash basin, a gobogobo sound comes out of the drainage ditch near the bathtub.
Breakfast is very good. I asked if there was soya milk to be in the coffee and it was fine. There were many varieties, so even if I stayed for several days, I could not get bored eating different things.
It doesn't matter, but the houseplants are placed in the rack and the bottom is scared of no support. Is it dangerous if it falls?
The service is polite and without omission. Are you for the elderly?
Staff were great, hotel lobby is ammmaazing, absolutely beautiful. Room is olden style fancy, bathroom a little dated but all in all very nice. At the end of orchard road, a bit too far to walk with luggage from the MRT station (we found this out the hard way) but without luggage is not too bad.
Went to regent a couple of times for wedding and some professionals seminars. Overall the hotel is beautiful, well maintained and services from crew is very professional. Overall a 5/5 rating.
The Manhattan Bar is reason enough to visit the Regent Singapore. Service is quietly professional, with subtle flourishes of style. Everything from the decor of dark wood and overstuffed leather couches and the stout cocktails is as it should be in a whisky bar, especially one that highlights American bourbons.
Went to their restaurant Summer Palace to order takeaway dimsum. The menu on their website does not match their actual menu. The lady who took our order was so so. A bit abrupt although their place had just a few customers. Waiting time acceptable for a restaurant.
Served SHN in this hotel and it was a surprising pleasant experience. The food was reasonably good and not too much nor too little- the service was good, everyone was polite, and they did take care to be quiet when we asked them to leave the food without ringing the doorbell or knocking. When I ordered additional drinks or had deliveries to the room the orders always came up promptly. The rooms are clean, large, and floor-to-ceiling windows gave us lots of light (important if you're going to be entirely in the rooms for 14 days)- they even arranged to give us connected rooms so my partner and I could have a little extra space. They arranged the COVID testing nicely so that we didn't even have to leave the hotel and overall we had a really good experience.
Attended a wedding worse service ever. Server repeatedly forgets order for beverage ask for, slow food service and even split soup and noodles over customers. Not forgetting randomly dropping items. Never seen so much mishaps during a wedding banquet - (Updated) Template reply from Regent Singapore. Empty words insincere. Expected better from a reputable brand. will have to lower expectations in future.
Amazing stay, top notch service and delicuous food. It's been one of my favorite stay ever. staff is very helpful and service is very quick. Quit place foe the peace of your mind.
Went there for a wedding invitation. The food was okay. Navigation of the place can be clearer. Shape of the Tangling ballroom are long, making it awkward for the wedding event
Excellent service, posh interiors and facilities, and comfortable rooms. Regent is a great place to stay for work and leisure. It helps that is is next to the shopping belt in Singapore.
This is the second time I stay here and I have noticed the lack of maintenance and how dated the place looks. The backside of the bathroom door paneling was peeling and the WiFi service kept interrupting. The restaurants are good as are the meeting rooms (except for the WiFi).
Attended friend's wedding on late Nov. Some unpleasant moments with the banquet side - 1. During the av sound check at around 5pm before the banquet started, no one from the banquet side or sales team were present to assist to help with screen projection and sound test. Had to ask one of the servers to look for the IC, waited 30mins but no one came back to inform. Understand that maybe the ic and servers were busy but would really appreciate a kind soul to get back to us instead of us waiting. 2. When the banquet started, server got mixed up on the food to serve. There were only 1 vip table. Served vip plating to one table that's right at the front, only to take it back when realise it was a mixed up. Lucky guests did not eat on the food yet. If not it would be real awkward! 3. When requested for extra plates, bowls, cutlery or drinks, it took a very long time before it reached the table. 4. Understand that not all banquet servers are full time Staffs hire by the hotel and hotel might be severely short handed, some of the Staffs had a black face unhappy look on them. It was a wedding, not a funeral. Do you like to see unhappy face walking around? 5. End of banquet, Staffs were clearing up while a group of us were still in hall together with the groom, saw that some of the Staffs jus took the door gift off the table as they were clearing. No big issue really.. Especially when attended guests chose not to bring back. But would appreciate if they don't do it blatantly in front of the groom and fam members as I understand that the door gift option was a top up in monetary terms. 6. Non banquet side related. A group of us sent a drunk friend off to his transport. Saw other hotel guests (not wedding guests) smoked while queuing at the taxi queue and the hotel staff assigned to station at the queue did not even ask the said guests to go to smoking area to smoke. Granted it was already late at night, not much guests. But still... Pardon this long naggy review as I feel that a hotel like Regent, with such bad services rendered to my friend wedding, just wasn't acceptable, given that they paid quite a far bit of bill chucked up at Regent. I attended multiple events at Regent too prior to my friends wedding and it wasn't even a bad experience and bad impression until this wedding! Hope Regent can do something about it especially is PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE SALES&EVENTS dept and Banquet dept!
The hotel seems a bit dated from the outside. The lobby is massive. The room and bed are what you would expect for a higher end hotel. The breakfast buffet is large but not the best of selections. Food even on the hot section is often cold.
The staff in the executive lounge are amazing and that is why this hotel deserves such a great review. The food selection in the executive lounge is good but not massive. I recommend paying for the executive lounge upgrade as the breakfast buffet is $30 by itself and the upgrade is $50 per person, with a great happy hour for beverages.
Very affordable 5* hotel compared to others I have stayed in. 10min walk to nearest MRT but bus stop right outside the front doors. Nice quiet location but not too far away to be an inconvenience. Would recommend.
