We come for Tonksgiving every year, and typically have a great experience. This time, we had a terribly rude bartender that nearly ruined the experience. We will definitely return, but will avoid getting served by her.

Great new venue, clean space, clean restrooms, plenty of room to stand, can sit at regular tables or tall ones, or the balcony. I didn't try the food. Sorry. GREAT bands the night we attended!

Great small venue for concerts. We saw Run River North and the Brummies a few weeks ago and were able to meet and greet with the members. Very intimate setting. The food here is also incredible and the drinks are superb.
If you've never been to the record bar I certainly recomend making a trip and mingling for a while. Lots of smiles and happy people to say hello to! True Kansas City Style

Great venue. Will be back. I'm from out of town but my local buddies say this is one of their favorites for music. I popped in for a couple days and saw the Fruit Bats, tried the chicken fingers. Chicken was OK, but the drinks/show was stellar.

What an AWESOME night I had with my daughter and her man. We saw one of my favorite bands the rainmakers ( formerly known back when I & them were very young STEVE BOB & RICH) I can say this much the place was packed and the bartenders were on fire quick to serve the masses

Very cool environment. Went to see Chase Atlantic play. Went hungry and was able to order food and drinks while enjoying the bands play. Rather go here than a huge concert that is super crowded

Not the same as the old place but still a decent place to see a small show. Just wish they would adapt the sound to the crowd. No reason to blow out our eardrums when there's only 20 people in the place. And hoping they get a kitchen again sometime soon.

As a attendee of the old location several times I was reluctant to see them move. But what a good change of pace. Still small and intimate with new sound system that blows brakes off the old one. New upper deck for viewing. I'd say hats off to the owner. Great move to a new place!

I am so happy they found a nice space to re-open in! Parking is nowhere near as easy or convenient as the old building, but it definitely seems roomier inside. I love the upstairs bar area, it's nice to be able to sit and watch the happenings on the main floor. The person at the door the night we went was very polite to us, as was our bartender.

I saw She's a Keeper and The Elders here; it was a blast. It seems that the best and most fun people come here. I haven't had the food yet, so I can't comment on that, but I loved it and hope to return.

The newer location of this business has it's pros and yet a major con. Parking is abysmal. Inside was spacious. Bar service was fast. I went for trivia night on a Thursday, so this is not a review for a show night or weekend. I cannot imagine the hell of parking on a weekend. If you can, just Uber/taxi.

Fame.

Great live music venue! Different bands, genres of music, but always something going on. A Kansas City music icon that recently moved from its Westport location to the Crossroads. Several nearby bars and restaurants as well make it a good spot among several stops during a night out.

Very cool little music venue! I love going to shows at little places like this and they get very well reviewed up and coming indie bands. Not currently drinking but the bar looked very well stocked and the staff was friendly. And best of all it was very clean! Had a great time seeing Bully there!

Nice music venue but the staff was very rude, especially the manager. The food was over cooked and the restroom was a disaster. I will only return if there is a band I want to see; however, I won't be drinking their watered down drinks or eating their food.

One of my favorite bars for live music in KC. They've really stepped up their game from when the were in Westport a number of years ago! Shows are always GA, so come early if you want to be near the front or don't if you prefer to hang back and chill by one of the tables. The stage is a good 3-4 feet off the ground, so even the short folk should be able to see as long as they aren't directly behind someone. Some shows have the VIP option which lets you hang in a balcony area above and to the left of the stage if you want to avoid the crowd altogether.

Came down from Creston Iowa to see Penny and Sparrow, this is my first visit to the new location. The crowd was super disrespectful to the opening performer, Caroline Spence.
Buzz was a great fella and let me join him in his sound studio. Thank you sir.

I ordered tickets for The Elders, being an elder myself, and had to wait outside for about 40 minutes in very cold weather (rude). They were late in opening the door (very rude). and the process for getting in was very slow. When we did get in there were no chairs available (extremely rude). I will not stand for three hours as I have a bad back and was not aware that there would be no seating. There was nothing in the ad for the show that indicated that if you were not among the first few to get in, you would have to stand. I could do nothing but leave after waiting all that time. I know The Elders put on a good show as I have seen them numerous times. I was very disappointed to not be able to see them, having tickets, and I will NEVER ATTEMPT TO SEE A SHOW AT THE RECORD BAR AGAIN..
