Great pub

Great pub
Super service from one of the staff given different tastes of wine to find which one suited me. Lovely lunch. Great service. A lovely find in Stow on the wold

Went into the Restaurant for evening meal (walk-in): Outstanding meals (fish pie and burger meal) for very good price. Superb service and reached out to assist in any which way. Great historical Oldest UK Inn building (947AD). Feature full and lovely design layout.

My husband and I was so looking forward to the roast lamb for Sunday lunch at the Porch House. How disappointing. The meat was tasteless, uncooked and of very poor quality. I could not eat it. The selection of vegetables was not great More

Great hotel however, despite showing a phone number and email on the website, they are literally uncontactable which is utterly absurd for a supposedly 5* hotel.

I have left four or five voicemails over the last two months, and sent emails, regarding a lost item of my ten month old baby and heard NOTHING. Absolutely appalling. Totally ruins any nice experience we had.

Best pub in Stow on the Wold. Stopped there just for a drink this time. Excellent choice of wines and real ales. Have stayed there previously and eaten in the restaurant. It was excellent!

I stopped at the porch house for a night in march. The room I stopped in was amazing. The beams in the room were just beautiful. The staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend The Porch House as somewhere to stop and eat.

Old and welcoming pub, worth a look and a sit down while you contemplate the next place to visit in the Cotswolds. Good bar selection but didn't eat there. Tables outside to lap up the sun...

Having turned up quite late without reservation we were quickly found a table for two in the cosy restaurant by a friendly waiter. We both chose the lamb dish which was tender and tasty accompanied by a rich Rioja. Lovely roast beetroot made was especially nice. We shared a cheese board for dessert and then headed through to the bar area which felt relaxed and welcoming. Staff were efficient and friendly even though it was getting quite late. The food and wine are both excellent value with tempting choices. An ornate mirror and chandelier in the lady's toilets highlight the fact that a lot of thought has gone into the overall decor. We would go back.

Can only comment on the food that was really nice. Everybody was friendly enough and attentive. Its clear to me though the owner has been speaking to some marketing person. A bottle of water is placed on your table. It costs 50p if you use it but it goes to charity. Then your asked if you'd like bread rolls, again additional cost. When reading the menu you realise that a service charge/tip is automatically added. The free drink on news letter sign up is delayed to make you come back on a second occasion. It's just all very obvious and felt a little intrusive to the overall experience.

10 out of 10 for the room, the bar, the restaurant and the staff. Lauren looked after us really well. Our waitress at dinner was really nice too. All very welcoming but professional. I stayed there for one night with my brother as part of his visit to the UK from the USA. Just before setting off for our stay, we had to deal with a significant water leak leading to the trip nearly being called off. Eventually we arrived, a little later than planned. We called Lauren and she moved our dinner reservation. When we got there, we received such a lovely welcome it really did feel like we could relax and enjoy our stay. There was an open fire going in the restaurant which added to the cosy atmosphere. I have stayed here about 5 times before and it has never disappointed. This visit was particularly good. Thank you Lauren.

Just stayed here 2nd and 3rd of October, absolutely top class, excellent service, Room was magnificent, (No 8) vaulted ceiling, open oak timbers, the ensuite was marvellous, If I had to be picky, the only problem would be that if you had this room for a longer stay it would not "fit your bill" as there is no wardrobe and very limited storage for clothing, But as i said, for us it was FIRST CLASS.

BED BUGS BED BUGS please avoid. We rented 10 rooms for one evening for a work event, and two out of 10 of us ended up with bites and diagnosed with BED BUG bites! Both on heavy steroid creams post this trip. Will not go again! Avoid if you can! Horrible experience.

Great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed that their monk fish sold out so had their steak instead. Service was great. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.... There were quite a number of walk in's turned away.

very unhelpful staff, couldn't even sit and get a simple drink without being told to download the app, and provide every detail of your life including date of birth and take a photo of yourself. I'm all for being safe re covid, but this is ridiculous. The questions are needlessly very very invasive and the staff very unhelpful. If this chain goes bust, it would wouldn't surprise me, its just like they don't want any customers.

We loved it.. the food was excellent, the friendly service very patient -we were 6 ladies, no need to say the location and the history is unbeatable. While we waited we visited the chocolate shop and the cheese shop. All wonderful

This hotel is amazing, I really enjoyed staying there, staff were great couldn't do enough. Food was great, that's breakfast and dinner. We had one of the cheapest room, but it was beautiful, clean, slept well no noise from outside. The only thing that people might say, is the room is a bit small but it was fine for me.
