Great location and exceptional service at this hotel. One of a kind!
Great location and exceptional service at this hotel. One of a kind!
One of my favourite New York hotels. Lots of history to the property and great location across the streer from Central Park. Not all rooms are the same quality. Some have lousy views and can be noisy. Make sure you walk right back down to the desk and demand another room. At the rates they charge you should be happy with your room.
A very beautiful hotel and a lovely afternoon tea. Service was great and the staff were very attentive. The only reason this is 4 and not 5 is the restaurant is very drafty so bring a cardigan for your arms.
We have stayed here a few times and always come back. Great amenities and simple location. Just a tip - they have a car available to take you local places if no other guests are using it at the moment. Hit or miss, but worth asking the doorman.
Nice large hotel, right on the park. Quiet and private hotel lobby.
Nice hotel. Very quiet and clean rooms, good soap, bath robes, slippers, comfortable bed. Don't drink from the mini bar.
Beautiful hotel, very clean excellent services and amazing staff.
Had a nice afternoon tea. Not the greatest but an overall pleasant experience.
Very high class. Every employee at the hotel treats every guest like royalty. The room was beautiful, the decor was perfect. Convenient location. Best hotel bathroom I've ever seen.
Hotel aged, to renovate urgently.
No USB plug in the rooms.
Fabulous location
Went for a meeting at the restaurant. And it was very classy. And staff was very professional.
Nice hotel, very welcoming staff. Good French cuisine. Very nice view of Central Park.
Went to an event. Venue is nice and beautiful. Service is professional. We had a great time there!
After arriving quite late due to a rerouted flight, the staff checked us in and found a suitable nearby place to eat. The concierge called up to our room to confirm that he arranged to keep the kitchen at the restaurant open. We would have had to run to make the cutoff otherwise. Great little touches like fresh flowers and having concierge know us by name really made the stay special.
The hotel truly is a landmark and has some amazing details. I attended an industry Executive conference here twice. NYC has some amazing dining options, and while the food at the Pierre was good, it wasn't on the same level as some genuine 5 star meals in the area.
The facilities really are not particularly accessible/ADA friendly. I can struggle with mobility and the are lots of levels and steps here. Add to that the chairs used for these conferences being extremely uncomfortable. While it is a beautiful building it doesn't quite meet my needs. F3
Absolutely love the location as it was across the street from Central Park and near all the lovely shops in Upper East Side.
Service is top-rated- they all remember our names (a little spooky but sweet!).
This hotel and Carlyle are the only two hotels left in NYC that has people manning the elevators - very endearing and old-school!
There are also treats for the kids upon check-in: an elaborate spread plus an adorable penguin stuff animal. What a lovely touch.
Good large room & bathroom, very plush, comfortable BUT the AC made too much noise as it is placed inside the room, friendly staff, nice restaurant, very centrally located, overlooking the Central Park
Exquisite. We dined sufficiently in what one might call true, old New York. It felt as if being on the Titanic, less the whole sinking thing. Any one of the women who graced this place could have been Florence Foster Jenkins.
Attended a corporate holiday party. Overall experience was positive. The food and service was great. Cocktails were decent. The interior design of the halls was interesting.
Very disappointed from the food and its, soooooo expensive
This is one of the few remaining old hotels in Manhattan that hasn't undergone a transformation to condominiums or is being torn down for a tower. It looks tired inside and conserving stand a bit of updating but the beautiful public spaces and layout make this a wonderful place to visit for stays or a meeting.
Beautiful hotel ,attended a wedding and the food was delicious ,workers there were very nice ..
Not what it used to be. It's the Pierre in name only. Sad to see the once best hotel in NY deteriorate to it's current state. Please bring back a great hotel brand to manage this property and restore its greatness
Worst service .. I have a piece of things to check that I do not have to contact each other even if you contact me a few times,
Very much reminded us of the Waldorf. Fantastic staff!!!!
Had the company's holiday party at this venue. The place is decent overall, but it's a bit small for a party of our size.
Truly one of the great hotels left in New York City. The staff are at the pinnacle of their profession. There is nothing one could say badly about this gem. I know. I looked. It is just that good.
Nice food for a large social event. A great dance space with surrounding tables. The bathrooms had some stalls that didn't lock which is a minor problem but honestly dissapointing.
Didn't stay here. We were at a wedding. They are in a great location, across from Central Park. Walked around the hotel, its a more old design. Need a bit update for the cost per room
I came to stay at the Pierre for New Years eve/day. Food and service was excellent, and a great location, overlooking Central Park. I also had a sneaky peak at the room where they filmed the tango scene with Al Pacino in The Scent of a Woman.
It's a very long hallway. And that's about it in terms of negatives. The staff is extremely attentive and courteous. The furnishings are first class and everything has this rustic, but yet nuanced vibe. Would love to visit again.
A first class hotel. Rather world class. I understand that the scenes of the tango dance "Por una cabeza" by Perfume de Mujer, starring splendidly by Al Pacino, were filmed.
We had a wonderful week at this hotel with three generations of family/friends. We felt safe and the staff took every precaution to keep us healthy. Our butler, Kevin was an amazing one-man show! He went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I would highly recommend his services and can t wait to request him for our next stay!
Very pleasant place
Only a little overpriced for NY
Historic, worth a visit. The wall decors are superb.
The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is beyond friendly.
Attended a social event here, it was an excellent venue
It's a business hotel in New York. The location on the edge of Central Park is great. I had a large comfortable room. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was ludicrously overpriced: an omelette and coffee for 35 dollars. There are plenty of places around for a good breakfast though, so not too much of a problem!
The only thing I did here was to go to the hotel restaurant. I ordered the Chard Cauliflower and boy oh boy was it ever delicious. Very small portion but as I said, very good. The bread basket was good but I have had better. I would definitely return to experience their other menu items.
Wonderful drinks and service at the bar. We had a great conversation with the bartender Sergio.
Very nice decorations/interior. Did not end up staying but was enjoyable.
I just dined in a corporate party. Excellent service, great food.
Beautiful space. But the fifth Avenue entrance was closed so it was difficult to catch my ride.
We had our holiday party there. Venue and ambiance were great. Food plates were small and hard to find areas for people with dietary restrictions. Not enough water around.
Women in insurance conference... just found the tables too close together
Beautiful Hotel in Manhattan, very nice and excellent service, Valet parking if you are staying at the Hotel if you Drive up from other cities, the traffic wasn't to bad comming from the Eastern Shore of Marland, it was a pleasant drive until. you get to Downtown New York traffic is pleasant, of you get here before rush hour traffic.
If you visit New York city, and you choose to stay at the Pierre, you made two great choices. The city and the hotel. you've actually made the perfect choice when it comes to the hotel. The location is ideal. And so is the service and the rooms. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. You're greeted with.
An amazing hotel. It has the charm of the past with the elegance one can expect from a Taj hotel. Very proud as a Hindu to have seen Lord Ganesh in the lobby. But $10 for one paratha? Lol. I always stay here when I come to the Big Apple.
gorgeous old style famous hotel. its the Pierre. enough said.
I wanted to change my reservation dates because there was a mistake in the dates I choose. But they were not flexible at all. I didn t ask for a refund, I asked only for changing dates.
Big old money buys you s chance to be part of the scene. Food okay. Service sweet
My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice upscale place for a drink and we found it . While pricy you get what you pay for
Beautiful iconic hotel right on the corner of Central Park. Excellent service at the front desk and from the housekeeping staff. They did small things like rolled up my charging cables and kept makeup remover wipes next to my makeup kit. Really made us feel special. Room was well appointed and comfortable, we would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Attended a work holiday party at the hotel. Food was fabulous and service was excellent
No words can describe the service at this place. In summary - I ordered a custom Indian dish not on the menu, went to Broadway show and came back late past midnight - called to deliver food and it was delivered hot and fresh. Amazingly tasty and when I called back to commend the chef - he LEFT 5 mins after my food was delivered. Apparently the chef waited 7 hours PAST HIS SHIFT FOR ME so he can cook and deliver the food on time for me ... I felt horrible but I couldn't thank the Chef enough.. Amazing Taj always amazing !!
