I have mixed feelings about this zoo, the benefits for members keep getting worse and worse. My favorites are the otters and the orangutans. If you see one of the keepers they are usually friendly and share fun details about the animals. Be prepared to walk a lot.

My son dissappeared from the water park area. My mom ran every thru and around the cave 3 times. As my mom was reporting his dissappearance to zoo keepers my son reappeared by bathroom. Then a man came out of the bathroom and asked my mom if she found her grandson. He was very suspect. She was so weirded out and stressed she left the zoo immediately. When they got home I called and reported the whole incidence. I asked them to review the tapes to see if that man took my son in the bathroom. My son is 2 so he cant tell me what happened. They informed me there are no tapes of that area of the zoo. There is no protocol for these kinds of reports. They did nothing. For all I know that guy is still out there grabbing babies and taking them in the bathroom.

A beautiful zoo, nice and windy path to explore or you can take a mini trolley. I loved watching the Andean Bear forage for food, and the Asian Elephant lift kegs like dumbells then take a break to munch on hay. Great place.

We went to see the zoo lights and I was impressed! The lights were beautiful and well arranged. There were still a number of exhibits open, like Stingray Bay. It was lots of fun for adults and kids alike.

Zoo lights has gotten quite a bit larger than the last time I was there. It now loops the lake and/or around the Savannas. There is a camel ride for extra $ and a few more add-on other rides or experiences open at night. Quite a few more lighted objects, as opposed to all the string light patterns usually there. The snack bar is open at night and has hot chocolate though the one we went to didn t have a sign that they did.

The Phoenix Zoo is one of my favorite places to go in Arizona. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years now. A great and unique feature of the Phoenix zoo is that it is actually a conservation, meaning a sanctuary for preserving, protecting, and rehabilitating wildlife. They have many fun attractions as well like the recently added dino walk, the 4D theater where they show animal inspired interactive movies. Along with a great water park for those hot Arizona summer days. Throughout the year, the zoo will have many events to teach visitors the importance of protecting and preserving wildlife and their habitats. Our favorite time of the year to visit is during the holidays when they open after dark for the zoo lights. The trees and animals sculptors come to life with over 4 million light decorations through out the conservation making it a magical night for the whole family to enjoy.

Had a few hours to kill before he airport. The guest services held my bags for free. There were great exhibits, good mix of shaded and cool areas as it heated up with water fountains spread throughout so bring a water bottle. Good mix of animals to show. Just enough interactive areas to get up close. Highly recommend a visit if you're in town. Took about 3-4 hours to see the whole park, pet the sting rays, ride the train, ride a camel, check out the 4-D movie and eat! Way better than waiting on my flight.

Go in the morning or at twilight if you can, they zoo hours have changed to accommodate for the heat. Check out the conservation center and talk to the keepers and volunteers about the new baby black footed ferrets. There is so much happening here behind the scenes that you won't know about if you don't ask.

It's a zoo, lots of walking. Best part was the stingrays. Also the look on a kid when I gave him my camel ride, because I didn't want to smell like a camel on the plane ride home. Always good for couple hours.

Awesome place, lots of animals and activities for kids and grown ups, you can bring your own food and snacks but they also have a good variety in. I got the family membership and it gives you free general entry and discounts of about a dollar in each of the amenities.

Alway a fun place for my family! It is a bit pricey but I have learned to get the membership and after the second time going its paid for itself I go almost every month once or twice and I love it my kids never get tired of it. I always have the second person on my membership open so I can go ahead and bring anyone I want plus you get free tickets for any other person that wants to come.

Even though I decided to go on one of the hottest days so far, I wanted to do something different for my birthday. It was nice because there was no crowds anywhere which I love, but many of the animals were staying covered to be cool, but still saw many animals. A ton of birds, like everywhere, but the monkey exhibit was and always is the best. The youngest was doing some crazy things that I won't mention and her facial expressions were hysterical! Definitely recommend going, just be prepared to spend some money on food and water or bring a lot of your own water. I enjoyed it and the staff was always helpful if you had any questions.

This is a great zoo. Clean, friendly staff and healthy animals. I just wish they wouldn't restrict firearms from being carried inside the zoo. Every responsible gun owner should be allowed to protect themselves and their family while visiting the zoo.

This is a great place to get outdoors, get some exercise, but off kid energy, and they always have events throughout the year. If you go more than once a year, get the membership! Go early to avoid a packed parking lot, and bring your own snacks and drinks to avoid the expensive food prices. But, it all goes to a good cause anyway, so... support the zoo!

Great zoo. Not the best but far from the worst. DO NOT DO THE BUGS unless you enjoy laughing hysterically at irony. Kids nearly ruined this visit for me though. Why are children so poorly behaved and allowed to be in public? They were throwing things at the animals and screaming while laughing at the "quiet-please" signs. If you're going to bring your kids here and suck as a parent, make that your problem and stay away from WILD animals.

Great zoo. Fun petting zoo. My great nieces and nephews Loved it. Would be 5 star but that price to get in is ridiculously high. They are pricing hundreds of families out of a wonderful outing. Find a coupon before you go.

The zoo is great for kids year round. During the warmer weather the splash pads are busy with kids cooling off. Variety of animals and very spacious. They are consistently making upgrades and modifications. Can get very busy on weekends during the nicer weather.

The Phoeniz Zoo is a must go! The staff is so helpful. They have animals there that are on the endangered species list that you wouldn't see anywhere else. A little expensive but totally worth it in my opinion.

We are here on a field trip for our 2nd graders. The day was perfect. Our kids got to pet the stingrays, attend a nature puppet show, the weather was perfect which meant the animals were out enjoying the beautiful day. All the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. We like how the zoo limits school groups do it's not over crowded. It was a great educational trip.

We have been to this zoo on several occasions. The zoo is easy to walk around. Good shade areas and plenty of places to stop and rest. There are also several water fountains throughout the zoo. My 5 year olds favorite places were the splash pads and the carousel. We also enjoyed the tram rides.

It has a good variety of animals. The facilities were always clean and the staff was friendly. I would recommend this place.
