Very nice zoo with lots of interesting exhibits and animals. The sea lions were gone and we were sad about that. The zoo is currently expanding and there is too much construction going on now. The Pacific Northwest exhibit is fun to roam around in, as is the Africa section. Recommended for a nice day.

Great zoo! I made the mistake of going on a Saturday when everyone else wanted to be there too so parking was filled. There was overflow parking about a mile away and shuttle buses running continuously so it was no hardship. The zoo is laid out in a manner that keeps it from feeling crowded even when you know it is. I'm looking forward to visiting again when construction is completed.

Beautiful zoo. Display areas are thoughtfully designed to provide good habitat for the animals. Educational placards along the way provide information on the various animals and note environmental concerns, status of whether a specific one is endangered or notes progress in restoring a species in the wild. Lots of restrooms, so handy with small children. Walking paths well designed for kids and parents with strollers. Great experience. I don't typically like zoos. This one is very respectful of the animals in their care.

We have small children and an annual pass. It feels like there is always something new to see when we come! Just bring snacks because their food while appealing is marked way up. That's only to be expected though. We love it.

absolutely love our zoo, some habitats are under construction right now but most animals were out and about enjoying the sun. The alligator was moving the bears were sunbathing in the mountain lions were right up next to the window. Great day for the zoo any day is a great day for the zoo though!

The zoo has finally opened again! We went today and had a great time. Even though there are parts of the zoo you can't go inside to see because of COVID19, there's still a lot that you can see. They are taking precautions to keep everyone safe and still enjoy the zoo.

Usually a great experience, there was so many exhibits under construction that it was a negative experience for us and our guests who were here for the first time. When done, it will be great but for today it wasn't. The other negatives were that there was no parking available in nearby parking lots and it wa a a 20 minute walk to the zoo each way. We were also there during feeding times and missed several animals who were not out.
Next time we'll be there before opening to get a parking space or we'll take the Max there.

A very fun trip to the zoo while on vacation for my birthday. I hadn't been here in at least 18 years and it was better than I remembered. Several exhibits are currently closed for renovations however, such as the polar bear exhibit. Even with the closures we spent about 3 1/2 hours walking around and looking at the animals. It's worth it to stop by and watch the seal and otter feedings, as they have them do tricks for their food and it's quite entertaining. I like that there are some aquatic animals here and not just the typical giraffes, etc. Very fun!

Fun

The recently remodelled exhibits are money well spent! The zoo looks incredibly modern and the animals are well taken care of these days. The animals are very active even on cooler days, which is great for them and for zoo patrons. The staff is very informative and engaging.

A nice zoo with regional animals and African animals. See the eagle enclosure... You might never get closer to one in a natural style habitat. Note to seniors: not many bench seats for resting. I suggest a couple benches at the numbered checkpoints.

It's a nice small zoo. Not like San Diego or the one in Omaha, you can do the entire thing in a few hours. I HATE having to pay for parking but at least parking Kitty works so you can add time if you need to.eithout leaving to feed the meter.
The zoo is going through a remodel so African Savannah, polar bears and monkeys are missing rn. Elephant land is greatly improved - which is great because we are known as elephant City. In the twenty years that I've been going to the zoo it's improving in some ways. I like some of the rules for concert chairs but there are no more free concerts. Leaving is solidly up hill walk - fine if you aren't pushing a baby stroller or carrying a tired toddler.

A great time for all ages! Make sure to bring a sweater or jacket in the fall months. Don't get the "zoo key" - sort of a waste of money. We were able to get pretty close to all the animals we saw. There's also food carts on the path as you walk through the zoo. Pretty cool place. We will definitely be back when the primate forest is finished coming 2020!
