A lot of empty tables, but a long wait to be seated. So we , 2 of us, decided to go to the bar area. Again a deserted area, but a long wait to be greeted and served. Server acted like he didn't want to serve us. Food was bland, reminded me of a frozen tv dinner.

Was a great experience! We originally went to the River s Edge Hotel & Spa restaurant but realize it wasn t our style. So we walked no more than half a mile to The Old Spaghetti Factory. The food was amazing, we had the Spinach & Cheese Ravioli and the Spinach Tortellini with Alfredo Sauce. Both of our meals were a three course meal so it came with a soup or salad (appetizer) the entree, and ice cream for desert. The portion size for it all was perfect and came out in a timely manor. Waiter was fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautifully romantic view of the river. Everything down to the trim of this building is beautiful. Antique furniture of the highest quality adorns this place on both floors. Truly a place to be seen for all the beauty.

Loved it!! The first time I visited this restaurant, I was celebrating my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary years ago in the Portland location and I have been back several times since - and every time it has been excellent! Good job!!

Food is good and well priced. Love that they still give ice cream after the meal. However, tea and coffee is longer free with the meal (it use to be the case a very long time ago). Service was slow and the waitress was very forgetful throughout the night, hence a 4 instead of 5 stars.

Please second guess your choice to go here. A recent visit: Put name on the list at 5:40, got seated at 7:00, got food at 8:40. (That's THREE HOURS LATER if you are counting.)
Number of children below the age of 10 in the party: 5.
Number of tickets at the end of the night that were correct? 2 of the 5.
I know you can live a long time because of your legend, but your reputation is going to kill you eventually.
Friends who visited on the same day described the wait staff as "ambivalent" and their happy hour drinks as "mysteriously non-alcoholic for being mixed drinks".
I honestly plan on never coming back, never recommending it to anyone else, and letting others they should avoid it. Very disappointing.

The inside looks nothing like a factory which is a surprise for Portland. If you miss eating in your hometown mall but don't want to fly home and have to see your parents this is the place for you. Btw free ice cream and bread so fresh nike would put a swish on it

Let me tell you, what a treat, I've been to old spaghetti factory all over Canada and the U.S. but after seeing all the pictures and articles on the wall, this location is ground zero for OSF (Old Spaghetti Factory) this is the! headquarters, if there was ever a place to taste and experience exactly what OSF had intended this is the place to go to, old world construction ambiance, lots of wood, stain glass, a scale if you know what I mean for you indulgers, on the south Portland shore, great location and parking. Sometimes with chain restaurants you loose what was intended like flavors, ambiance, service, but at this location this really is done right!

Very good!

Very good!

**Thanks Katherine for taking such good care of our group**
The food was just what I was hoping for..... yummy***
The stained glass and wood work is warm and beautiful.

We ate here for a work activity with a group of about 30 people. We all laughed at how hard and chewy the bread was. Also the pasta was nothing special, something I can do at home with a can of tomato soup. I gave an extra star for an AMAZING location next to the Willamette River.

Beautiful dining room and view of the Williamete River. Food was at the level of the olive garden. Ice berg lettuce salad right from the cooler, creamy tasteless clam sauce. If you go don't expect homemade quality Italian food. Waiter was very good.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is some of the lowest quality Italian food you can purchase in the United States. However, the location, the architecture, and the ambiance allows one more star than the food deserves. The service is solid, you just can't find lower quality pasta.

The Portland Spaghetti Factory is the best we have ever experienced. The soup is worth the visit -always fresh and delicious. It's family friendly with a great river view. The servers have always been accommodating and friendly. A great restaurant to visit with the grand boys.

I love the food here. Great sauces. I got the combo, half spinach tortellini and half cheese ravioli and they were both very yummy. Been going here for years and always a good time. Only downside is its not a good place floor smaller children. They take a lung time (30 minutes) to get your food to you on a Thursday night. Though you will have bread and soup/ salad in between. The minestrone soup was the best I've had.

This place is complete S**T!!! First off we got out meal completely refunded because our food was so terrible and their service was even worse! Idk how this place has such high ratings but it's all a LIE! I felt like I was in a cafeteria not on a date If I could score this place negatively I would! Also all there gluten free "options" taste even worse then the whole experience all together!

Always great. I grew up coming here, and still love it. The building, location, and atmosphere alone are well worth coming here, not to mention how much food you get! Now if they'd just get happy hour drinks to go with their happy hour menu....

Our large party of 18 was comfortably seated upstairs with a gorgeous view of the river. Service was excellent and the food nicely presented. My BLT salad with lightly breaded chicken was fresh and flavorful. It came with lightly dressed crisp greens and plenty of blue cheese chunks and bacon pieces. More chicken than I could eat. Meals include bread, soup, salad, and a little dish of ice cream. Great parking. Even access to a lovely paved trail along the river to walk off your meal.

Good food, great location, awesome atmosphere, great waitstaff. Have been coming to this restaurant for most of my life. The prices are a little expensive but I give them 5 stars because they consciously have decided to have sufficient parking for their restaurant in their free parking lot outside the restaurant. I wish more restaurants did this and I will continue to support them because of it.

My sister and I were the only colored people in the restaurant, sadly you can sense the looks, the stairs, the big eyes. Delay in service. Then they want to seat us in the back corner by the kitchen door. Looking there was plenty of seats in the dining area with other customers .. again we were seated with no interaction with the other customers. Rude. !!!

The food was good and the drinks decent. They have lots of pasta dish options to choose from. The bread was fresh from the oven, although kinda salty (may just be that batch). The staff was also very nice and helpful. We didn't feel rushed at all. Btw the place is massive and looked like some revamped mansion!

Good drinks, excellent food, the second best Italian restaurant I've eaten at besides pastinis. The service is excellent and the atmosphere feels very formal but is casual. You pay a little price for a big experience.

So online it clearly has a lunch time for all days, however you go and they dont do lunch on weekends. I showed them there online but they didnt say much. We had a 15.99 dinner great, serving size was ok, food was good, service was 50/50 we had 2 nice people but the hostess didnt know much when we asked anything. I would go back. The ice cream is a single small scoop. I had my 3 years fall and no one replaced it that was odd. Owell :)
