I love the spaghetti factory. The food I great and the decor is over the top. Love it.
I love the spaghetti factory. The food I great and the decor is over the top. Love it.
The sevice was great, however the food was at poorest quality I have ever had there in the past 20 years!
A recommended stop for RV trip stop in Portland. Large parking lot and good views
Their pasta is fresh and flavorful, the prices are okay and the customer service is amazing. Highly recommended!
Good food and service. Had a large party of 24 people and we were cramped into a small, tight space. Very uncomfortable.
Always the best flavors. We were there with a large group and they took really good care of the group?
If I could give this place a no stars I would. I guess the building itself deserves the star it's a nice location and a beautiful from the outside. But as soon as you walk in that changes. This was our 3rd time giving this place a try. The first time, two years ago we were ignored for over 30 mins, we are patient people but that was ridiculous. When the waiter finally came they didnt apologize or anything. 2nd time was a year ago and we had a big wait then again and the overall service was just horrible. The waiter had an attitude and seemed not to like his job very much. So we said we would never go back again. Well we got in to Portland a little late and so we decided 3rd times a charm right? Wrong, they put us in the cable car which was fine it was just us at first. All of sudden they bring another family into the cable car(even though there were booths all around it that were empty) well we noticed that a family sitting down below who were seated after us gets their food before us. Ok fine, maybe they were having the special or something then the family in the cable car gets their food when they came 20 mins after us. So we ask the waitress, she says oh I think the tickets got mixed up then drops and spills my daughters drink on her and the table. After another 5 mins we finally get our food. At this time we have already been in the restraunt for an hour and no we didn't have a large party just 6 of us. The icing on the cake is that we had two birthdays to celebrate well apparently the family next to us in the cable car also has a Birthday, so they sing to him first and us as an after thought. Will not be giving this place a 4th try. The waitress never tried to take care of the situation just ignored us after we called out the poor treatment we were receiving.
My problem with TOSF is not the food or the service- been eating here for years. My issue is that they use GrubHub for delivery. Ordered my Mom food on May 9th and received confirmation. The next day they texted it was on the way. Then they texted it would be 10
Minutes late. Then I get a text at 8OM that the order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed and I would get a refund!!! The only customer service I can get hold of is in Mexico. Me Mom is 91 and was really looking forward to this on Mother s Day as she cannot leave her nursing facility right now and I cannot see her either. Not their fault exactly but they choose to use GrubHub- they shouldn t!
My favorite comfort food. Always consistent. Reasonably priced. Good service. The browned butter with myzithra is the best!
Seated party of 11 waited quite awhile before anyone noticed we were seated. Food cold I was not impressed. Really disappointed.
Super yummy...really enjoyed myself and the atmosphere was killer ...the waiter was excellent...I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Italian food.
I have had good experiences at other Old Spaghetti Factory location but this is always my favorite. I love the trolley car and river view, so many fun antiques to look at! The best thing for me though, is their gluten free fettuccine alfredo. Its hard to find restaurants with gf pasta that has great taste and texture and its even harder to find a restaurant that offer gf alfredo sauce, so getting this dish is a real treat! Now if they would only make gf lasagna...
Always good food. While the service is good, it is slow. This location is just too large and too understaffed. But the value for the price can t be beat. And the spumoni ice cream is a favorite!
This place has been a family tradition since I was five or six going to the original one in downtown Portland. Simple, unpretentious, and very kid friendly.
Great team
Effort : sever ,Super food and a camera man
Good food and atmosphere! Plus you get ice cream at the end!
There food is amazing but... the interior is a bit funky and weird.
First ever spaghetti factory, definitely worth a visit.
Great old building in a cool location. It is always busy, so be prepared for that.
Food is meh, but our kids love the experience and the view.
Amazing! Took my wife out for a nice river view dinner, the place was packed but staff really works hard to keep everything great
Food is very good, the decor of the restaurant is really very nice. I love combining dinner here with a walk along the river.
Always consistent taste and quality. Very reasonable price and great value. Nice location on the river. And dessert is included!
We had a lovely lunch for two for about $20 with wonderful service. Thank you to the staff for being friendly and extraordinarily helpful. The river view in the restaurant was amazing !!
Bad service tonight at the old spaghetti factory.
Sat down at the bar by myself to eat the bartenders are too busy to even come over and greet me and offer me some water. Understand their busy but when 5 minutes passes that's too much. Definitely will not be recommending this Spaghetti factory to anyone I know.
Awesome place to eat at and great customer service.
Hosted my son's PSU graduation lunch. Perfect in every sense. Everyone could have what they liked without breaking the bank.
My favorite is half meat sauce, half mazzetra cheese! We had a wonderful time.
Plenty of food given! Sausage & meatballs very tasty. Walked away full
Great atmosphere and family fun! Food is always consistent! Worth the wait!
The most beautiful and antique furniture, the most polite and see servers! !
This particular location is always bussy , great food.
Love this Portland iconic restaurant. Service and Food are wonderful!
We live closer to another location and have been to many others (US and Canada) . None of them can touch the atmosphere of the second location for the original old spaghetti factory.
The service is always great. Foods is wonderful. Several gluten free options. Tonight I had Angry Orchard Hard Cidar, gf noodles, brown butter & mezithra, and garlic. Adding the garlic was an amazing choice!
Delicious food. Friendly service. Acceptable prices. Portion size could have been larger.
This is a great place for large parties, and nice river view. I like the 3 meat combo.
Good food but it took them awhile to get my to-go order ready
Not great. Bland bread and pasta, everything tastes canned and not fresh, service is pretty poor. Insanely long wait times they clearly plan on doing absolutely nothing to improve. Disappointing.
The building an atmosphere is excellence the food is on a scale of 1 to 10 2 at Best and the service they do not know etiquette at all I wouldn't recommend the food
Very crowded and noisy place. Food was good though.
good food,drinks and atmosphere
staff was accomodating
Awesome Awesome Awesome!! Love this place! Great Food - The building is beautiful and the view of the river is nice just to watch and relax. Great Customer Service.
Always a must-stop when I'm in town. Its right along the riverfront so even if there is a wait time, there's a nice trail to walk along with benches, and comfortable couches in the main lobby. The food is always good and is honestly such a great deal. A meal comes with minestrone, bread, and ice cream (spumoni is so good!) and I recommend the ravioli. I always leave with leftovers as well.
Located on the river, this is a great place for pasta. It is fairly inexpensive too. You can get a complete meal including dessert for around $15. Love it!
Doesn't matter what you order here it's always salty
Visiting from California and even though we have them in Cali, we ve never been. We were able to walk along the river from our hotel to the restaurant which was a great view. The decorations from the moment u walk in and once u walk out ate terrific. Thankfully the food matched the decor as well. I will say my Mizrahi(sp) dish was super dry but tasted delicious. Our food and service was terrific. We defintely would drive the hour back home to visit our nearest location.
Amazing time with my family. Staff was courteous and checked in on us throughout the meal. Great prices as well. Food appropriate for the price. Will go back.
The atmosphere is grandiose and the food is mediocre. Service was friendly but not fast for an empty late lunch. Food was something I could have made in a hurry at home, but not overpriced so we weren't concerned. Won't be back, but it wasn't "bad".. just didn't live up to the decor.
Great atmosphere, classic Portland spot, mediocre food, lovely view!
Came here because i made a mistake in schedule of the xmas ship. i have mix feeling about this place.
decoration: beautiful, full of holiday spirits, cozy, comforting and warm. I would give the decor 5 stars. its not the trying to be but not quite there feel or the over the top and you cant breath feel.
service: got seated right away, however it took about 30 min to get my kids some water and our water never came even at the end of the meal. server was nice and somehow seemed very busy even when theres a huge amount of staff walking around, there doesnt seem to be a general sense of communication between staff, the server that serves your table is what you get, dont bother trying to stop anyone else for help, its pointless they will either ignore you or simply listen without hearing and walk away. Perhaps the management should think about how to structure this. 4 star for the server 3 star overall
food: mediocore at best, I understand this is a chain resturant but if you are in portland at least just try a little on the food. Piazza Italia have food thay taste 100 times better at the same price p.s their servers are much more attentive. 2 stars
Overall: 3 star come here maybe for a kids party but not for the food or the service.
Excellent food and friendly staff, get there early though
The restaurant is much less expensive than Olive Garden. And they usually have pretty good dinners. I was with a large group tonight 50 or 60 people and we had a room rented. When they start mass-producing food like a school cafeteria it gets really plain and not cooked right and is nothing fancy or than a big bowl of spaghetti from home.
The "outdoor" seating area has an incredible view of the Willamette river that can't be beat.
Amazing food and great service. Very friendly staff!
Love the food. Wish they would kick up their service a little more. The service at this location has always sucked.
Love the flavors, the service has always been good every time I go, and I enjoy the original, historical building and decor.
One of my favorite establishments since my early teen years at the old Downtown Portland Oregon.
I hate to give less than 4 stars anywhere, especially a place like this. The service was shoddy, the food was mediocre and our waitress was not that attentive..
I've been here before and the food was much better..
We had the joy of having Chase as our server and we couldn't have been happier. He was amazing at his job and super friendly. The food was excellent and the location is fantastic!
Pasta was meh , the place need to replace all air filters, there a oder smell in reception area
Beautiful restaurant in a great location with nice views. Don't come here for the food, the restaurant itself is cool and staff friendly but if you want great Italian go to Pastina. This is more like Olive Garden.
The restaurant was beautiful but the food was mediocre.
Dont like sherwood. But downtown never disappoints me except 1x when the 50th owner was there that experience i would of gave it a 1
A really nice place to visit . Great view of the Willamette river....really good food...get there early, they fill up fast
The restaurant was amazingly decorated for the holidays and they had someone making balloons for the kids.
Doesn't live up to its hype. Bland food that is unduly compensated by a generous portion. If your palette is over 13 years old, you might be disappointed.
