The food is good, but not great. But that's not the main reason to go to this location anyway. The atmosphere of the restaurant, being right on the river, is terrific.

Really great building with plenty of room for everyone.
Pretty dependable place. Easy place for families with kids.
Celebrated their 50 year mark. Congrates! Love the location and all the beautiful wood. Enjoyed seeing the owner and his 94 year young mom out chatting it up with the patrons!
The service was great. I had the tenderloin and it was a little over cooked but the broccoli with mitzthra made up for it.
The spaghetti was great. The noodles were the best I've had there.
This is the most exquisite spaghetti factory ever. The building is set against the backdrop of the river and the architectural detail of the building inside and out make visiting this restaurant an experience. I went here for my birthday dinner every year when I was a kid. Good food and a great place to make memories with your family
This place has been a family favorite my whole life. Still love it!
Definitely one of my favorites. Great food, excellent service and pretty cool decorations.
Iconic location, great ambience, good service, fantastic food. Treated or family with rambunctious kids patiently.
We had a team meeting here, there is plenty of room for groups. The waiter was fantastic and was able to give each of us (25) a check no problems! The food was delicious and I recommend it! Great location!
Beautiful location on the river and everything we hope for in good pasta.
Our favorite OSF. We go here for a special family dinner a few times a year. it!!
The Old Spaghetti Factory on the Willamette River in the South Waterfront area is a restaurant with reputation worthy of five stars based upon n the view, the quality of their food and with menu items that are gluten free.
This place is beautiful in that turn-of-the-century way. The detail in the design, the dim lighting and overall ambiance makes me feel like I stepped back in time.
Perfect setting for a romantic date or just a dinner with the family. Food is all wonderful. You must try everything. My favorite is the lasagna.
This is the second time in a row I ve gotten a to-go order from this location, waited forever in front without anyone helping me, and the food wrong. Called in an entree salad and tiramisu tonight and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes since nothing needed to be cooked. I got there and waited in the lobby without anyone else there for 10 min while several employees walked by until I finally asked one if someone could help me. He told someone in the kitchen I was there and she still didn t come out with my order for another 7 min. I finally got my order and paid 20 min after it was supposed to be ready. I just got home and this is the entire $11 salad they gave me. An amount of lettuce half the size of a side salad.
I love going to this place. A fun atmosphere and tasty food. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating.
Aside from waiting for a table, food was tasty, the meat was tender and the desert hit the spot.
Beautiful old woodwork and stained glass. Nice view of the Willamette River. Friendly and excellent service!
Very beautiful place to have a nice lunch or dinner with drinks.I highly recommend The old spaghetti factory.
Used to be very good, but quality of food and service have gone down and prices up. Very disappointing!
Great food and prices. Great service and good game room. 3 games to win prizes on, Buck hunter, rscing, Pac-Man and ghost busters pinball.
Food was wonderful and the portions were huge as usual! Servers were nice but didn't know what they were doing. We asked three different ones for something and each one would say they would be right back and then they never returned. It was odd...but overall we always love The Old Spaghetti Factory!
Prices are really hi for the ammount you get. The food is of decent quality. Service has alwas been almost ok, they always forget some thing or get the order wrong.
Probably the best atmosphere in the city at very reasonable prices. The service is also excellent everytime we dine there. The Chicken Marsala is to die for.
Great place to bring young kids for an upscale dining experience. Atmosphere is eclectic and menu is diverse.
Over the years the quality of the venue has improved and the food decreased. I would love for them to put a little more financial effort into making real Italian cuisine. Right now it's basically Olive Garden with a fancier front.
Awesome shrimo parm but becoming expensive for couple or family with no alcohol.
I love the food it is so good most food is gluten friendly!
We sat upstairs in the bar and the service wasn't that great. To be honest the red sauce was very bland and Inever thought I'd say this, but there was far too much cheese on everything.
Nothing great, nothing horrible. It's as though Sysco - or any bulk food supplier - said "I know! Let's open a restaurant with the highest margins by using our low end products!"
The food was really good but when we went here for the murder mystery we didn't get very good service. I don't know if maybe there were servers who were it sick or what, but the murder mystery we went to veggie this last time we had much better service! I heard people complaining that they would like to order another drink and nobody was coming to their table!
On line ordering was easy, the process of picking it up was great, and the 2 people we interacted with were friendly and polite. So why 3 stars.... 1) we had spaghetti and there was so little meat sauce that even when I tried to mix it up there were plain white noodles. 2) my order included icecream for both but was missing one of them and the one that was included was on the bottom under the hot spaghetti. Disappointing.
Gotta love the Old Spaghetti factory. Portland is where it all started. By far the coolest one. Best location.
Everything about it! The amazing mansion on the waterfront and the bread dipping into the very best pesto dressing EVER is so extremely delicious. It's traditional for my family been going there since a lil kid but there's reasons for that. A lil disappointed that there menu has gotten a bit pricey so don't get to go as much but it's always worth it once we do. Got to try managers special with half Spaghetti sauce and half mizithra cheese. I know I didn't spell that right but something like that but it's perfect together
Classic! Beautiful setting with delicious food and a fun dining experience!
Yummy pasta food in a fun old timey atmosphere. Personally I ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was absolutely wonderful.
Always a fun place, and diet, healthy friendly options available such as zoodles instead of pasta.
I accidentally orderd the wrong dish and they fixed it at no extra cost. The customer service is phenomenal and the food is 5* good. Ask for a seat with a river view.
Love The Old Spaghetti Factory. Been cming here for years. Love the consistancy in the experience. Great for big parties and kid friendly. Great ambiance and not too expensive. Great experoence.
The food was delicious. I had the green salad and half panini sandwich, which came with warm fresh bread. The service was impeccable. Our waiter would magically appear the moment we would need him. I really appreciated the warm decor inside the restaurant and the wonderful views through the many windows of the waterfront.
I love the Spaghetti Factory, You get a three course meal for a reasonable price. The atmosphere is so elegant & rustic at the same time.
Has been a few years since I have been. Still the same. Good game room.
You can always depend on Old Spaghetti Factory to provide favorites for all
The river location is worth the price just because if the view. Price seems to be going up all the time, so not sure if it is worth it anymore.
Super fun atmosphere. With a great building with lots to look at
Great location with great views. It also has a lovely bike/walk path behind the restaurant to walk off those calories after a delicious meal! Spaghetti Factory always has great food!
An awesome restaurant~ Spot on old school Italian food! The fresh baked bread is amazing, and so was the ambience~
Good food, but nothing has changed in 25 years. But living within walking distance, that doesn't detour anyone. Its the original, so I guess change is low on the priority list.
Customer service was incredible! Very pleased with the service! And the food was amazing! Perfectly prepared and served quickly. We didnt have to wait as long as other restaurants. Highly recommend!
Amazing place to take the family. Beautiful atmosphere and view of the water.
The service is super nice and friendly. And the food tastes great!
Love this place so much. Workers are super nice and check on you constantly. The place looks very historical and very cool. Food was amazing and you also get this really good deal where you can do three course meal and it comes with a salad your entree and then dessert. Love love love this place definitely recommend
What poor customer relations to offer in writing a coupon if we picked up our Doogie Dash packets at your store, only to then tell us you ran out of coupons, but not offer a rain check. To make matters even less satisfactory after we came there specifically because of the coupon offer, the manager seemed like we were bothering them and did not provide good customer service, just that we were a bother.
My experience at the spagettie factory was great .
The interior is so lavish it's worth a visit just for that! Plus a great spot on the river
Service was decent, but we felt (perhaps due to our own issues) rather rushed through. Not unlike a factory might do. The food came quickly, including the drinks. And the pasta dishes were indeed quite good.
One gripe I had was with the milkshake. It was made with ice, and that doesn't make sense to me.
With the spaghetti factory you always know you're going to get a great meal at a great price ! I love the half-and-half white clam sauce with the mazinthra cheese! You can take your entire family there and know everyone will love it and it will be affordable for any group you invite!
Great Food, Great View, Exceptional Service. 1st time to The OSF; did not disappoint.
This is a fun place to go for the views out of the windows overlooking the river and decor. The food is served in gigantic portions. The browned butter and mizithra cheese pasta is the way to go!
Excellent venue for a group. Great food and service.
I've been coming to this restaurant my whole life. I love the food. The people are great! You dont even know it's a chain because they never have that attitude. The restaurant staff dont change very often so doesn't seem like a revolving door... usually a good sign its managed well and people are happy to be there for the most part. I'd love to hear from the employees. I've been coming here for 36 years and I've always been curious about the company.
Overall, I take pride eating here since it started in Portland. They are consistently great and reasonably priced. Coming to the downtown location is always a pain because of traffic, but having a meal here is worth it.
Solid solid experience. Food was great. Atmosphere also nice. Had a not-so-great draft beer, but I got a free replacement. My sensibilities recovered just fine. Won't hesitate to go back.
Great location on the river. Pretty much always busy. You can eat in the bar or the restaurant. Beautiful decor. An old location but maintained very well. Food quality is always good. Menu is fairly predictable but that is appreciated because if your a regular you know what you want.
My favorite since childhood. Glad that i can still get my meat sauce and mizithra cheese! Every take out order they remember to include my spumoni and bread loaf. Just the best service and they want your pickup order to be as fresh as possible!
We have been going to the "Old Spaghetti Factory" for years whenever we go to Portland and it has always been great food and great service. However the recipe for the White Clam Sauce has changed and it isn't quite as good as it used to be. Also the girl that served us was so exstremely slow I wanted to walk out. She was so slow my coffee was cold by the time she decided to serve it to me all 3 times.
We always love spaghetti factory. Great food great people.
The building is nice and the waterfront view is nearly breathtaking. I made reservations here and they seated us promptly. Our service was fine but our waitress didn't seem particularly motivated in her position. Food was good but not exceptional, maybe even predictable. I enjoyed the overall experience.
I love OSF. This location near downtown Portland is set in a nice location. The interior decor is eclectic, as always, and nice. Food is good, as always in most of the OSF, and waitresses were very nice and professional.
Apparently this place is the first EVER old spaghetti factory! The interior is beautifully decorated, and during the day time the view is also supposed to be gorgeous. I think that's where it ends, though. Maybe I'm just used to the Canadian standards of their chain, but the food was far worse here, and presentation didn't even seem like a consideration. Normally, I waive this off since the old spaghetti factory is pretty cheap and a huge meal, but it seems like this location has bumped up prices!
Decent food and good service. Love the theming, and the river view of the Willamette is wonderful.
