Only went to the restaurant. Good food great service.
Only went to the restaurant. Good food great service.
It's an all around great place to stay. Pool is large, rooms are very nice and the restaurant has good food. The staff are very friendly aswell.
DO NOT judge a book by its cover. While the building seems to loom ominously on the hill off the highway, the moment you walk through its doors, your perception will change completely. This place has excellent food, a vintage layout with some modern updates in the rooms and business centre. All in all, very great stay. We will be returning this year.
Beautiful getaway. Awesome dining, beautiful room and excellent staff!
Lots of parking, food good, service good, nice view. Dessert a bit weak, and high priced. VERY disappointed that they have such a weak local beer and wine listing, and especially by the glass. I won't be back soon because of that.
Beautiful location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms.
Enjoyed our stay. There was absolutely nothing that we didn't enjoy during our stay
The room was good, but the food not very tasty or nutritious. I was told that the facility charged the organization over $2 a piece for pre packaged, generic, blend granola bars. They didn't have enough food for the snacks, and didn't have any choice of tea, they just had a thermos full of over-steeped tea.
Was there for a wedding. Food was 5 star however facility seemed outdated.
Nice clean rooms with good linens ..Hot water pressure and temperature sucked on the third floor though.
Was there to write an exam. Nice setting and they provided candies and water to every person attending. Staff was inviting and friendly
Amazing place friendly knowledgable staff very helpful and we loved there food we will definitely be back
Exterior could use an update but it is beautiful inside. Very nice restaurant/lounge area with a huge fireplace. Rooms are very nice but not much soundproofing between rooms...
Went to get Dermaplanning in the Eau Spa and had a fantastic experience
We loved our stay at the Old Orchard Inn. We were in a mad hurry for lunch and they were so accommodating to us!
Excelent people ,service, food, atmosphere,'daytime view of minas basin.
Lovely setting. Good facilities and nice staff. Love the Valley.
A beautiful and quaint Inn located just off the highway and within walking distance to downtown Wolfville. We only stayed for one night, and didn't get a chance to take full use of the onsite services, but the staff were great and the room was updated and clean.
Looking forward to staying here again and trying out the pool, sauna and restaurant!
Best view of the Valley with your meal. Has a great buffet when in season. Lots of parking with easy access to the main highway.
Old orchard inn is located just off of exit 11 153 Greenwich road south. I was only there for the day the service was excellent the food was amazing great place to stay a night or just for the day I highly recommend.
I'd suggest the Old O is in need of a facelift. It's still a warm, welcoming environment, but could use a fresh look and feel.
Always be wary of hotels and motels that don't show pictures of their room on their websites. There is a reason. in this case its because the rooms are nasty and badly in need of renovation. The furniture hasn't been replaced in 30 years (if ever) and it shows. The carpet was so nasty we didn't dare walk on it in bare feet. The bathroom door couldn't be closed completely, and the deadbolt to the outside door couldn't be latched at all. Lastly, our room had a horrible smell to it that got into our clothes. It was if they use to allow smoking in that room for years and when they converted it to non-smoking, didn't bother to fumigate or change the carpet, curtains, etc. I give it 2 stars because the lobby and restaurant areas are nice and well kept. But since people don't sleep in those areas, its about time that the owners started paying attention to the rooms.
We had a great stay! Hotel staff were beyond helpful and very friendly. We ha to check out early and they were wonderful with assisting and refund was no issue. The view from our room was breath taking. The restraunt was charming and our food was delicious!
I personaly loved the efforts in place to be as ECO friendly as possible! Cant wait to come back, especially when we are not in a pandemic. Keep up the great work.
I stayed two nights in a cabin and was very displeased. For what they charge it wasn't close to worth it. Room service was terrible I asked for a bed change they brought new bedding and left without taking the old.
Also a friend of mine was staying in the hotel front desk proceeded to tell him he was not allowed to bring beer up to his room, and was pointed in the direction of the bar. That will be my first and last visit there.
We spent three nights at OOI mid week in August and it was quite quiet. It is a slightly aging building but it's been upkept remarkably well. Thick walls and posted quiet hours help the noise level too. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. Price was a bit steep for the three night stay but the comfort and personal service balanced it out. A wonderfu stay!
A pleasure to work with, very organized and can pull of a conference of 250+ people with no glitches! Great place for events!
Very friendly staff. Amazing King size bed. Too bad there was no local (real) Maple syrup with the breakfast
We went there for a beautiful winter wedding .The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. it was decorated simply with much class. The food was excellent, and the set up made the buffet run smoothly. It was a lovely place to have a wedding.
This is a beautiful place with very comfortable rooms, great views, a terrific staff, a nice pool and hot tub (we needed both) and a very good location.
Lovely Event Space, food good and Staff very friendly and professional!
Spent 5 days here in a cabin. Cabins are rustic , cozy and clean. Ate breakfast at restaurant twice it's a bit pricey but good. The place is quiet the wifi is fast and the staff is friendly what more would one ask. I didn't wanna leave. Very central to everything.
We stumbled on this little gem after a nightmare cottage rental experience. Matt at the front desk was so helpful. He even offered us a special rate knowing we had been scammed. This is a rustic inn that needs some updating but it's clean, quiet and the staff are super accommodating...even making home made chicken soup when one of our travelling companions fell ill. Great family or romantic getaway with gorgeous views and close to multiple wineries. We had a ground floor room at the back of the hotel. Horseshoe pits and many other lawn games available as well as indoor pool and hot tub.
Very quiet and clean, was a welcome relaxing place after a long week of travel.
Kids loved the pool, staff was helpfull.
Nice spot. Rude service at reception and not very helpful or accommodating. Restaurant for breakfast was mediocre at best and expensive (overpriced). Not allowed outside food to be brought in unless you eat in your room. They want you to eat at their restaurant. I will not be back to this hotel if in this area.
Best place in the valley ....excellent service and quality of menu...every time
Fine hotel, room was well appointed. There wasn't a fitted sheet on our bed ( comfortable bed). Bathroom was nice an clean
Nice place. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was extremely professional.
What an awesome place. Great location, close to Acadia, yet quiet and pretty.
Friendly staff, great rooms, and big rooms. Bathroom was a bit crowded, but I'm a big guy.
The pool was great and the hot tub was good too. The restaurant was perfect, great food and not outrageously priced.
Helpful hint, they have coffee for guests in the lobby starting at 6am, which is MUCH better than the muck you can make in your room using the 1 cup coffee maker that's typical of all hotels these days. We'll be back.
Nice hotel. Very cozy but breakfast was not that good
I give 2 stars for the end of our stay. When we originally checked and got to our room, we noticed garbage in our bins, we talked to the front desk and they upgraded us right away. The second room was far above our expectations. However; we found a pair of underwear hanging on the mirror and a used bandaid in one of the bathrobe pockets.
The hotel is very outdated and needs a compete renovation. The hot tub and pool was very dirty.
Overall, our stay was fine once we switched rooms, but the overall cleanliness of the hotel was below par and hotel is in need of a major overhaul!
well appointed rooms and great food from the dining room
Clean, nice pool and spa area, nice dining room, good menu, reasonably priced
Didn't like the rooms outdated and old fashion with set of roles. Not welcoming.
The building is gorgeous and the food was delicious for the work banquet we attended. Don't be fooled by the rickety old sign on the highway.
This hotel is gross.
I was told as I checked in that my room was just cleaned however my bathroom was covered in hair (shower, floor, sink) that was from a previous guest. The carpets were covered in stains and overall made me feel dirty staying there.
I was here for a small trade show, it went very well. The drinks, sandwiches, and staff were nice.
Good place to take the kids that is close and has a pool
The Old O' is a great venue for professional events in the valley.
The staff were very friendly, the place was clean, The View was stupendous.
Very dated, but a comfortable hotel with an old school feel.
We reserved a room in the "pet friendly" hotel.... apparently donkeys, cows, camels, dogs are allowed....but not cats. Only told us this as we were checking out and we're mad at us for the cat. What?? Charged us an extra fee.
They didn't put fitted sheets on the mattress, just tucked in a regular sheet. It was really hard to sleep on, as it kept falling off.
We've always had a great stay and food here at the old O.
Planning a workshop here was simple and easy. Our 1 day workshop was well organized with amazing food and service. Communicating and planning the event with Cheryl (the event manager) was very efficient and she was always quick to respond to any questions via email and phone. The tech crew was ready and on-hand to help on the day of our event. Overall, a great and stress-free experience planning and hosting a workshop at Old Orchard Inn
Great spot for a reception or a convention. The staff is excellent and the view is amazing.
Weird...like anything I stayed at before. Wanted to know every name of adult and children staying in each room, no military veteran discount, unless ur on duty, so veterans who served are discriminated...
If u want to eat in their vacant restaurant u need to make a reservation, as they state they r too busy. Because of the menu prices and many children we decided to provide our own healthy food choices. No microwave in the room, when requested, told $25+tax /night to rent. Microwaves are pretty much the standard amenity in hotel rooms that I ever stayed at. Since we had a block of rooms for the team, we asked for a complimentary microwave for the team to share, yet we were advised to collect $2 fr every kid to rent it from them! Ha! Ok. Not! Most times cards didn't work to get into building or rooms. Character of the building is very charming.
Great staff and very good food. Not service dog friendly. The owner lashed out with personal insults when complant was raised with him.
Nice apple orchard in the back. The blossoms are out.
My family stayed there over the weekend along with the rest of my sons basketball team. There was a fire in the middle of the night so everyone had to evacuate the building from about 2:00-3:30 am. The hotel offered nothing for this inconvenience not even as much as sorry for this inconvenience at checkout.
Clean, comfortable, family friendly. food and service at restaurant were great. Rooms were a bit dated.
Rooms are a bit dated and the carpets aren't the cleanest. I stayed in a room facing the west, which have a great view. The restaurant has really good food and there a nice large balcony facing towards the ocean. Staff were nice and friendly.
Mostly good. However, we were there for a wedding and the hotel was booked full. The morning after the wedding everyone went to the in house restaurant, only to find that they sent home half the staff by 9 AM because they didn't think they'd be busy. As a result service was extremely slow
Wonderful meeting facilities. It's always a pleasure to be here whether for a meeting, lunch or brunch.
Rented a room with a king size bed and hot tub. great bed and fluffy pillows and a hot tub designed for 2. Food served there always well cooked and taste like they put the effort into it. Great now i want another peice of that apple pie.
A quiet picturesque location. The hotel roo.s are clean and well appointed. Staff are amazing and their restaurant serves up a delectable selection of food. Would definitely recommend.
I have always had a good meal at the inn, however my last visit, Aug. 17th, was not good. My spring rolls were overcooked. The other meals ordered were not right in size. It may be a while before I go back.
