Best place to enjoy with family and friends. Kids will enjoy alot .. Don't go on bad weather.

The experience was nice, from the beginning they let me know which parts of the place were closed, the show was nice.

It's an okay place to take kids if you've got an afternoon to spare, but there isn't a lot of wow there. To quote someone's comment to security as we waited to see the sharks, "Is this all it?"

A New York favorite. Diverse exhibits, well maintained, exceptional education signage, and a superior staff.bWorth a visit, especially when you can visit the beach and coney island attractions.

Good place for kids and family. Love the Sea lion show and shark experience.

Very good place To spend the day with the family, that is only to be there early because it attracts a lot of people there to do line everything but it is obvious that if it was not good. No, that would happen

I had a great time with my family, it was educational and fun!

Wonderful experience! Visited on a Saturday afternoon, everyone moved through at a good pace! Shark Encounter was AMAZING! Very interesting and educational! Fun for all ages! When exiting the subway, take a RIGHT to go to the NY Aquarium/Coney Island or you will walk around a long, block.

Great location, ample parking with reasonable admission prices, but the exhibits could be better taken care of.

The outside habitats are ok but there aren't a lot of animals t see and the viewing glass for the tanks could use good cleaning especially for the sea turtles and otters. The animal presenters and experts put on good and informative programs but there should be more of them.

The choice of concessions is very limited, although the boardwalk isn't far from it and the rooftop bar is pretty good. All in all, the experience is great for children of all ages but you can see everything in a couple of hours. The Spineless exhibit should be great when it eventually opens.

I hoped to give them 5 stars. I was frustrated from one of the clerk who pushed my hand instead of asking politely do not picture. Total experience very amazing. But the lady in the photo booth need to be retrained again how to deal with clients.

Yes, the children like it very much, just missed the time to touch the starfish, I have a year card, if you want to go again, the annual card is more affordable!

The new shark exhibit was amazing and is worth a trip. Get there early on the weekend if you don't want to wait in line for the aquarium parking lot.

Well kept even though under construction. Fair price (11.95) for the moment but anticipate once construction has completed that prices will increases dramatically.

Sea lions appear healthy and the staff encourages environmental consciousness. I would go again.

Currently remodeling for its expansion and everything will be open on June 30, 2018

It does not have many animals. It was under construction at the time of the visit. If so, it is not worth anything.

There is more fish at the Staten island ferry station than here. Very disappointed

This aquarium is awful. Me and my family drove 2+ hours and were only there for 20 minutes with people (mainly little kids) packed everywhere. Very disappointed. It's good for a kid I guess, but if you're actually interested in aquatic life, I recommend the Camden Aquarium which I say is a 5/5 place. There was hardly anything to see. Waste of time, gas, tolls and money.

Great place for kids and it usally takes up to 30 or 40 minutes of your time to visit thier is not much to see besides the show which happens at certain times.

Some exhibits are still not available. It was not worth $30. per person to go in.

Great time for my grandson who loved everything he saw.

It was the first time i went back there since 2006 with my summer camp. They made alot if changes whick is good and exciting for everyone

There are better aquariums in Chicago, Atlanta, Miami. We were expecting a bit more from New York and it was bit of a disappointment. Its small, no cafeteria, expensive and sea lion show is kind of ok so giving it 3 star.

Excellent place to visit with family and friends. Kids really have fun in this place. They get to see all kind of aquatic animals. They have small and big animals here too. They have shows for the entire family and performance for kids. They have food on sale inside, ice cream, hot dogs pretzels and more. Buying the tickets online is cheaper.

Great place before Sandy; now they charge the same fees yet 3/4 of the place is closed. Come on.

While they're still recovering from Super Storm Sandy, the improvements because of the storm are astonishing. If you haven't been here for a while, it's worth the trip back. I always felt a city like New York should have a world class aquarium and it's shaping up to be just that. The new Shark pavilion is worth the trip all by itself. I love how they tie in the local ecology and how it affects other ecologies throughout the East Coast. The displays are very informative for all ages with plenty see and do for children. Many of the display stations are duplicated in case it's crowded. Easy access from the Stillwell train station and plenty of parking of coming by car.

I waited 35 min to see shark exhibit and spent 15 min inside.. Half price was 15 dollars per adult. Very disappointed. I will say the gentleman who helped with the tickets was outstanding. He gets the extra star.

It's no Bronx Zoo or Atlanta Aquarium, but it's not bad. Followed by a boardwalk stroll and time on the beach it's a nice day.

Small as far as aquariums go and half of it is closed. You can do the sea lion show and view all the exhibits in less than a 1h 30m.

Still under construction, stroller parking feels a bit unsafe, very expensive for a family of 4, even on value days and for an average trip nothing extra like walking on the boardwalk, parking was 25 dollars, the new shark exhibit was beautiful, seal show was a long wait for a 5 to 10 minute show.

Everything is under construction. They should limit the amount of people in at once time. It gets really crowded there

Pretty small. Everything can be see in an hour and a lot of the fish are not special and can be found in pet stores.

It was a magical moment for me capturing those beautiful sea creatures.

The Aquamarium is a nice place to visit with your family. Especially the kids! The can explore a variety of creature's in the water and other animals.
But what I find! You can't go into the establishment with outside food. Why is that? I know that the restaurant is trying to make a little profit this summer but the food is very expensive. Not only you have to dig deep into your pocket to get in but you have to eat to.

Sea lions are the best part of the aquarium, a must see if you plan on going!

Much nicer since the shark exhibit reopened. If you can afford to, the 4D theater is a great little plus. This NY attraction is a great visit, especially since it's right by the beach and Coney Island Park.

Amazing place, recommended for all ages, the park is really big, there is a lot of content, the movie 4d is really nice, but not so suitable for small children, there are feeding shows of fish / animals at different times, it is recommended to check the screens for the hours, A very beautiful seal that deals with recycling and maintaining cleanliness, a service of really good workers, highly recommended

If you re looking to see some big underwater creatures this is a good spot

Best aquarium on the east coast...shark venue is AMAZING!!!

Today we visited the NY Aquarium celebrating Dominican Republic's mother's day. Ms. Annicka at 4D theater give us a great helped with Grandma's walker. She is very patient and efficient.

They charge premium price for a half closed aquarium

Pretty small aquarium and the place can get overly crowded when kids go for a school trip. It's quite difficult to even look at some of the fish because the water is too cloudy. Not worth the price and there are definitely better aquariums out there.

Decent place to visit. However, the shark tank is very dirty. It's not worth the price. Very slow pace.

If I'm paying $25 a person to get in, do you really need to charge me $20 more to park? A bit expensive for what you get. Took us two hours to walk through exhibits.

Partially open (at a reduced price) while they renovate / repair the damage done by the hurricane. You can still see quite a few (Walrus, Sharks, Sea Otters, Penguins, etc) plus they still have shows and a 4D theater

We visit on Saturday Nov 17 the window ticket girl was disrespectful to my wheelchair mom. We just arrived 2min over the time of our tickets. She closed the windows and slam the door... when she was requested why she did that knowing the situation she proceeded to call security to remove us... sad for the lack of kindness and training of some personal of this beautiful touristic place.

Fantastic place.If they can have shaded area for aqua theater,then it will be 5 star.It was really hot on Sunny day.
