A little pricey for what ya get. $30 There's not $30 to see. They could cut price in half and get twice the amount of visitors even return visitors. ijs

I liked it a lot because there is parking, an eating area and the most important thing is that there is a variety of fish, it is incredible, the person is very professional and friendly. If you come by foot you can do it on the F train or the Q train. I could see the stingrays or ray as it says in America.
But I didn't see the sharks. They also offer memberships for everyone you want.
Great to see newest exhibit. Not a fan that the aquarium is still under construction. Thanks to my membership as a Wildlife conservation, I'm compensated with other attractions like Bronx zoo and other Parks.
Went there for a day hosted by my job. Great place to spend to time with the family. One of the downsides is the price point, $29 for adult admission, $24.50 for children. Not exactly affordable.
It's a nice aquarium, a few exhibits were under construction. The Dolphin show was fun!! Something fun to do that doesn't cost a lot.
It was great the sea lion show, love the incredible sharks.
Last time we were here Aquarium was under construcrion, but kids had fun.
I will come in two year. My 3 stars are for hope not for reality.
I used to take my son and my daughter to the NY Aquarium and that was twenty seven years ago. It keeps better all the time. Now I take my grandson. I think I enjoy it more than they do.
Currently only a limited items to see. What is there is interesting and educational given the variety of sea life. But only will keep you busy for two hours until they open the closed exhibits.
Women at the food stand were talking to eachother rather than taking orders. Very limited amount of things to see. Would not come back.
Bad value for your money...very little to see, and big crowds everywhere
Disappointed that much of the aquarium was under construction. I'm sure once it is done it will be amazing, but right now it isnt worth the admission.
Loved the time I spent there it was very lively and lots of different sea creatures.
Honestly it's not that good as they advertised, very small, very crowded, AC is not that good so you feel hot even inside, the indoor areas are few, so we got burned from the sun, strollers are not allowed in the shark exhibit, so the baby was carried all the time so I didn't enjoy it.
The only nice thing was the sea lions show, but still was toooo hot and the fans are few.
You should bring your own food, they don't have good options there.
But I have to say that the staff are very nice.
Great Experience. We saw lots of sea creatures such as sea lions, sharks ,enormous turtles and also smaller kinds. It's great for family visits where children can learn about the enviroment through games and activities spotted inside the museum.Great Job
Exhibits are limited but great educational programs
This place is strictly to the point; meaning it small and not much to see.
Nice place and entertaining, I had a great time with my family.
They need to bring the Dolphins back. That place don't look nothing like the place like the place where are used to go growing up.
Not all exhibits are open yet. Still an overall great day
I was very disappointed. I understand its under construction but come on. Don t bother to come now, waste of money. You didn't see any walruses, penguins or bulga whales. The sharks were dead at the bottom of tank. The only animal out was the otters! Even the BATHROOMS WERE DISGUSTING. With all the money they make, you'd think they upgrade the BATHROOMS. Disgusting! I want my Money back!
My daughter enjoyed herself. We're did attend before the shark exhibit was completed. Have to go back
We really liked the 4D movie (Ice Age: Time Travel or something). Everything else was just okay. It was my first time at an aquarium, and I was expecting to be a little more impressed. Some of the displays seemed like typical tanks you see in people's homes. But overall, it wasn't bad. It just could use a little more of a wow factor.
Very nice, there are otters, penguins, sharks (several species), turtles, etc.
Loved the beautiful fish and dolphin show was so cute
My son and I were here for our summer vacation and the aquarium is spectacular I first visited when I was a boy and what a wonderful place to take the kids for education and fun!!!!!!
I absolutely loved the aquarium. We went on a rainy day so we had the place largely to ourselves. Highlights include the green eel, the otters, the sea turtle, seahorses and all the sharks. We spent quite a while at the shark building. Such a pleasant day trip. Well worth the $25.
It used to be really good but it became smaller with all the rebuilding happening I dont see why it should be open until they finally finish it off.
Very nice place to visit and get a good experience looking at sea animals! Also great because there is a park and a beach right next to it!
Great half a day trip, small but exciting, exotic creatures and great shows and exhibits definitely reccomend. Very family friendly!
A lot of fun with our kid. The arch walls to see shark was pretty awesome.
My brother and I wanted to go into the aquarium to have some fun. When we got there we were not allowed to enter because my older brother wasn't 18 yet but he would be in a month. We where treated badly we managed to get in with online tickets only to be almost kicked out. This is a tourist attraction that needs to be worked on ! Im highly disappointed with the service the last time I was here 2 years ago I was treated with respect but when my brother and I wanted to go we were disrespected . We had money but they didn't allow us in. We later when we got in we saw that there was nothing scary and not meant for people without and 18 year old. We spent 1 hour under the heat without nothing to do. The aquarium itself was bad. Ever since 2014 the aquarium has changed and gotten worse workers are not treating people well and the lack of animals. In 2013 the aquarium was a beautiful wonderland of marine life ! But now its a horrible attraction. MUST BE WORKED ON!
The location is great because the amusement park nearby, awesome view by the sea, easy to park inside the aquarium
It's a nice establishment although there aren't as many attractions. The sea lion show is probably the best thing. It is free as long as you posted to enter.
You need to visit this place with your kids. They have a great show in this place.
Best experience ever we enjoy everything from the sharks, fishes, and the sea lion show was spectacular
If it's raining, you missed the one of going to this aquarium...
Definitely not worth the trip, if you come to Coney Island for the fun fair why not !!!!!
Or if you have access via a pass
Maybe I'm spoiled by growing up going to SeaWorld and the Aquarium in Mall of America but this Aquarium seems to be lacking. It's quite small and the fish in some tanks seem to be crammed in. I enjoyed the sea lion show but the water looked really murky which seems odd for an attraction. September is definitely a good time to go if you want to skip the crowds. You'll get through this place in an hour or two. I did enjoy the penguin feeding. They're really cute.
Had fun but at same time it started to get repetitive and boring.
The updated Aquarium is beautiful. Here is exactly what you expect from such a place: a glass tunnel with sharks and colorful fish, a huge cylindrical aquarium and an incredible beauty hall, in which you can probably stay for several hours, staring at the measured movement of sharks and rays.
Walking along the Aquarium from the "old" part with tropical fish, through open pools with sea lions, penguins and otters to a new building with sharks, even a tedious grouch will come out a little kinder.
Undoubtedly worth your money, no doubt worth visiting. Just open your eyes wide and enjoy.
Absolutely lovely. The show with the seals and the shark exhibit were the highlight of the day. Was a great 2 hours
very small ! if you blink you will miss it entirely! only 3 exhibits... You will pay more for parking than a ticket.....oh and no place to eat .... They have a food truck in the park..
Took my class on a field trip and they were done in about an hour. The outdoor lunch facilities were not equipped for 75 students. There weren't enough chairs and the area smelled like urine. For all of the new displays it just isn't set up for large groups. The best thing is the seal show but it was only 15min long.
Not everything is open--- very limited. However, I still love the place. Staff is incredible knowledgeable and the site is every changing. My kids always get a kick out of the sea lions and penguins.
Lots of fun. The indoor tanks are meticulously cared for featuring coral they grow themselves. The 4D shark movie was lots of fun too. We missed out on the outdoor exhibits due to rain. The exterior of one of the buildings has a rather unique surface made up of tiny hinged stainless steel plates that move with the wind creating flowing wind sculptures.
It's been years since I've been to NY Aquarium. Its definitely for kids, I was bored and finished the park within the hour. That part of Brooklyn is falling apart as well. I love sea life and was absolutely disappointed, it was lacking. Sorry
The new exhibit is beautiful. Had a blast with the kids. Four starts because there still some areas under construction. Can't wait for it to be completed.
Smaller than expected, new sharks exhibit is spectacular
Nice aquarium, but also a bit small. For a visit to conny Iceland but worthwhile.
The sea lion show was awesome. The girls were professional and polite
Went there a few days ago and it was raining. I got there at 3:36pm on Wednesday (free on Wednesdays) and they didn t let me in. So we snuck in through the back and didn t really get to see much. They are under construction ad most of the viewings are outside unless you just want to see fishes which are inside in a warmer environment I guess. Staff was friendly.
Awesome new exhibit (Sharks) it's a must see, plus the touch tanks... Yay!
Unfriendly workers and the attractions they say are open, Are not
A lot smaller then I expected. First & last time going.
Do not hit the show. Few interesting things to see. Like the Shark Aquarium. There is where to sit. You can eat and listen to music.
Small and under construction but a fun place for kids
I was very disappointed when I took my family on Saturday July 27, 2019 to the NYC Aquarium in Coney Island Brooklyn. We took a 2 hours 30 minutes road trip from Pennsylvania to be disgusted. I paid for 7 people which is very expensive pricing to see nothing but closures due to construction. Inside the buildings there was a malfunction with the air conditioning unit. It was very hot. I felt very bad for their employees to be working on those conditions. There were very little to see for such high prices. No discounts at all.
