It's not bad, not great but clearly too small ! In 1 hour, you have visited all the aquarium. Why not if you are in the area, but if you are in vacation in NYC, don't waste your time with it. And too expensive for the time you'll spend in the park.

Was undergoing renovation, seemed smaller than I expected

A beautifull familly Sunday all day walking on the woodenwalk, enjoying the Ocean, and the Aquarium.

I was disappointed and I paid to much money to be disappointed if your exhibits are closed you should not charge full price and parking should also be discounted

Such a small place for the hefty entrance fee. We were in and out in 45 minutes.

Good for kids but now they are on construction and not so many things to see.

~18$ parking and ~25 admission. Several great exhibits, fun outdoor ones with pengwings and seal ions! Also harbors eels. Awesome shark tank and two big exhibits under construction on 1/24/20! Great place, cool stuff !

Crowded, under construction and limited animals. Unimpressed. Needs better management

Went here twice this summer. Not that much too see, You definitely can't spend more then two hours here. But the new shark exhibit is great and the half-off tickets during the summer deal is a great value. Highly recommended for younger kids while the deal is going on. Don't know if i would pay the full price until more exhibits are completed. If you dont mind a full priced ticket this is a great experience for young kids.

Despite being small, it is under construction. It is educational, promotes conservation, gives a show with sea lions and has a theater to watch a movie in 4D.

Terrible parking lot management. Takes less than 30 minutes to finish all current exhibits, if you didn't catch a sea lion show.

Not a whole lot to see but the staff were extra friendly and helpful.

Wish more exhibits were open but during this time of covid it was great

I absolutely love this aquarium. It is by far the best one I have ever been to. They have so many types of marine wildlife to look at and learn about. Lots of touch pools and cool sharks. Parakeets are great and you can feed them nectar if you pay a bit extra. They organize the aquarium into sections of the ocean around California including but not limited to South Pacific, Baja California, and even a rotating endangered species exibhit.

It's a good place, interesting but it's a small place and a few animals.

Great place to relax and you always seem to learn something new.

Was okay, but most definitely not worth the money. I went as a child and recently. I guess it's decent enough for children but as an adult, I was bored.

Absolutely LOVE the new sharks exhibits!! Gorgeous and HUGE! Early in the morning is the best time to go & beat the crowds. Don't forget to see the 4D shark movie before you leave, it was really great and only 15 minutes. My 4.5 year old loved it, too. This was definitely a great way to spend a day.

I went to the New York Aquarium for the first time a few weeks ago. It was one of the coolest things I ve ever seen. There s so much to see including an entire building dedicated to sharks. If you don t like fish as much as I do you may no like it but I already want to go again.

Great place to experience. Its on the smaller scale but great way to get aquainted with ocean life.

Awesome new shark exhibit...new exhibits to come! I suggest buying your ticket online.

The 4D theatre was my fave! Hoping they get lots more animals with their expansion.

There was variety of species you could see in the aquarium with there own unique differences, and you could see the effort done to reconstruct the aquarium into a wonderful sight of attraction and a new safer home from the poluted waters.

Beautiful exhibits, great sea lion show. Social distancing respected and clean.9

By the time I went there was a big section under construction, which made the attractions limited.

There is a good amount animals to see but in order to see the sharks there is the longest line to wait on almost waited 3 hours so we gave up and left so we paid for no reason.

We used to love the aquarium but now after a half hour we were ready to go.

Go to the beach for free... don t waste your time and money in this place. Wow

The restrooms in the main building is down stairs, there may be a elevator but one has to look for it.

You should go to this place, when they are done renovating it. Don't go before that.

Its very nice and their animals were mostly rescues. Almost my favorite

What a fun day trip spot! My family and I loved the aquarium, especially the penguins, sea lion show, and the exhibit Ocean Wonders: Sharks! We have been to countless aquariums and museums, and while this one is not very big, it was well worth the trip. A major plus is that it's right off of the boardwalk, and a 3 minute walk from Coney's Cones which has awesome gelato.

Great show of see lions, but uncomfortable seats. parking is not well organized, some of the guys that work on the parking space have a weird attitude. 3 and 1/2 stars

You can get everything done within 2 hrs! Not bad for free on Wednesdays either

Long wait if it rains a bit they close half of exhibition, expensive parking and line for cars to get it is ridiculous

Great day out with kids. Not to much to see right now but will be awesome once construction is done.

The shark exhibit is really great and the sea lion show was very fun! I love places like this, they are so much fun. Very worth the $20 adult ticket.

I Felt so comfortable being a scuda diver with no chance to get into the tropical waters...the next best thing I could do to visit my aquatic friends.

New shark tank exhibit was great. Kids had a great time, show was amazing and lots of fun for the kids. We also had a drink and a small lunch on top of there new roof top deck overlooking the ocean. Overall a great day close to home

Grandkids had a wonderful time. As one of my grandkids put it, " best place ever" . I have to agree..

Nice aquarium, it was partly closed when we visited it, but got an discount for that.

It's only free on Wednesdays after 230. Til 330... People start standing on line at 1pm. Be prepared for a wait..... Still don't know if they still do the whale and dolphin show anymore.... Haven't seen either since I was 8yrs old.... In my 30's now.... U tell me

Children love here so much, so many ocean life, there is donation price on Wednesday after 3pm, aquarium has its own parking lot.
