Time scheduling made it easy to get in and the exhibits were colorful and well put together. I loved SHARKS but I was disappointed that the exhibits were so few.
Badly damaged and still recovering from Super Storm Sandy... but they will soon unveil what they have spent all of these years working on.
Will be amazing!
We bring the class here once a year and the kids always have a blast. They don't just get to get out of the classroom, they get to learn with a hands on approach.
A great learning experience for children and parents.
Totally zero; I put a star because we cannot put zero
Very nice, but due to the renovations the place is not fully enjoyed, and in my opinion it is for children from 2 to 5 years old.
Great place for a family day, right next to the boardwalk of the beach.
It was very disappointing. $48 for 2 adults and 2 children and you can view all the exhibits in under 1/2 hr. They have been doing construction for over 3 years and nothing has changed in that time. No food vendors or even vending machine for snacks or drinks.
Construction only 2 exhibits open. No where to get a quick bite to eat
Only 4 stars because lots of attractions are closed but kids had a ton of fun. Wonder tanks. The shark tanks are the best. Kids loved every minute. Even my teenager loved it.
Even though the aquarium is under construction it's always great to see the seals at feeding time. Along with the other exhibits.
Aquarium is under construction, but show was awesome and fixed overall experience. My wife enjoyed very much. Definitely for kids and families
it's a shame to have such a small aquarium in one of the biggest cities in the world. Don't get me wrong I like the animal and support everything what's good for our planet but this aquarium is like a joke. I spent less than an hour there and checked out all species there. Very disappointed
Not stroller friendly, long line to see main exhibit. Unimpressive.
A great place for the family! They are still improving the aquarium from super storm Sandy, so it's not as big as it will be soon.
I've never gotten to see so many animals when visiting a zoo or aquarium. Maybe we got lucky but it was really awesome watching the otters eating crab and the sea lions barking!
Idk what happened to this place. It used to be a good place many years ago. Now it's just terrible. You could probably see more fish at the pet store. I wouldnt call this place an aquarium at all! It's more like a circle of walls and empty spots.
I will not say that this is something amazing, but still beautiful.
The shark exhibit was stunning to my little explorers, we had a blast.
Nice aquarium for kids and adults, it's in the smaller size but with a 30$ entrance fee
Great time to spend a few hours. A little disappointed that there are still a few exhibits closed due to hurricane sandy.... but overall very clean and friendly.
I liked the size. For moms looking to exhaust the kids without doing too much damage on mommy it's perfect. The Shark exhibit was beautiful too.
Reconstruction is underway and much is closed. Until the end of the reconstruction, there is almost nothing to watch. There is a small show with fur seals, as well as several aquariums, a couple of seals and seals, one species of penguins (viewing only above the water from the street), gray pelicans and several small sharks behind the glare on the street. So it s worth putting off the campaign until next year at least.
Terrific. Excellent exhibits. Super staff. Strong scientific and environmental exhibits support the amazing collection. Highly Recommend
Such a great place to see a lot of different kind of animals
Looking forward to the new sections opening up, currently a little sad.
Great place but more than half the attractions are unavailable or under construction. They should lower entry price to compensate.
If you are in nyc please visit the aquarium the kids had so much fun ,activities
Wonderful Learning Experience & Family Time #NeoPhenix
Not a lot to see except new Sharks pavilion, but it has a huge, huge, huge line in order to get there
It is the biggest Aquarium that I ever saw!
If you are reading this, You Have To Go To New York Aquarium! You will see a lot Sharks in this place!
So happy that they finally reopened the aquarium after hurricane sandy. The shark exhibit is a must see. Fun for the whole family. Admission is $15 if you buy your tickets online.
The staff is really friendly. There isn't much to do and it is a quick run through. The price is not bad compared to other aquariums in other states. I think once the new exhibits are finished it would be nice to check out again.
If you are a New Yorker or visiting New York City, this is definitely worth a visit. I have been here countless times as an educator and a parent. I do wish I could give it five stars but every time I go part of it is closed. With that said there is still so much to see. The new edition of the Shark Tank is pretty sweet. Seeing sharks swimming above your head is awesome. The facility is very clean which is not common in New York City. The sea lion show is adorable- the perfect amount of time for children to sit and be engaged. And if you get hungry check out the Ocean Side Grill, the food is pretty good and the view is amazing! I recommend the New York Aquarium for all ages.
As crowded as this place was, I still love it!Been taking my child since she was a baby. This time I took my nieces there and they loved the tunnel and the Sharks! I love the eating area where you can look out onto the ocean. Go! Enjoy!
Was too packed. The exhibits were fairly small and had other exhibits undergoing renovations.
Beautiful place!!! Parking is not covered with yearly zoo pass but still an amazing aquarium!!!
I miss this location. It s definitely worth the price. Loads of things to do.
Was disappointed. Very limited stuff to watch. aquarium isn't so big but the ticket is $12 which is too expensive foe this place.
They need more staff. Saw big fish but the tanks seemed way too small for ALOT of them. I'm no expert but it looks like they're are only allowing the bare minimum on space. Didn't realize half the place would also be closed. (Was much better 10 years ago) Hate to say we won't be visiting this one again.
Good service but despite a couple of rooms being remodeled, the place is small in my opinion.
Small, but very nice. Just wish there was more to see.
Go see it and be sure to bring the little ones, everyone will love it. Wednesday after 3pm is free, but be sure to confirm that it s still free before heading there. I highly recommend it!
I love the aquarium, and its seal show, unfortunately the area of jellyfish and octopus is closed at this time, I hope soon open it to the public again.
Perfect location too close to the ocean and Cony Island. Kids are so happy from entertainment.
Great aquarium. Still rebuilding from Hurricane Sandy, but making a great expansion.
Check out the sea lion show!
My first time my son had a lot of fun and it was his first time to
We really had a great time going here. Can't wait to go again
Aqurium pretty bih but not to mutch, diferrent animals and fishes from all world. I love to stop by.
The new shark exhibit is awesome with top notch Aquariums. More of the place needs an upgrade. Overall good time.
