Jamie was our waiter. He was EXTREAMLY friendly. I really enjoyed not only my food but my experience with the Waiter we had. I give this Place 5 out of 5!

Loved It. My brother and I was visiting from Chicago. Never expected such wonderful chicken and waffles in Jacksonville. Strawberry butter was amazing.

Best service in town ! Worth the small wait time for a table the staff operate that place like a machine ! Food is always fresh and delish.

30 minute wait around 1230 on Sunday. Service was fast and food was delicious!

Dropped in on Tues. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. I can see why they have so many reviews.

I relocated to the area last December and ate at Metro Diner during breakfast for the very first time. I have been hooked ever since! Anytime I have out of town visitors, this is our go to spot for breakfast. The chicken and waffles are amazing!

I have two favorites the reuben sandwich in the Monte Cristo absolutely the best Monte Cristo I've ever had! It is to die for! Got to be on your bucket list baby!

Excellent food but there's always a wait. Weekends are the worst but it's worth the wait.

This was my second time visiting metro diner and it was good. We ordered the fried chicken and it was raw inside so we had to send it back.

Place has good food most of the time. Cleanliness seems to be getting worse and worse. Tighten up on cleaning and hold your servers to a higher standard. It's not that hard.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner one night and the service was just as speedy as breakfast or lunch time. It was awesome. If someone started to get busy, there was a team close by that would quickly jump in to help to make sure everything was sent out quickly. Not to mention, our food was delicious :)

Big fan of Diner's ( Sixtys Style) but this one is quite different. When I arrived was quite crowded with lunch hour in full swing. Was given a choice of Hi Top (Counter)or Table or Booth seating, and was even given the name of my server. Brandon was friendly and courteous, ordered the breakfast and was not disappointed. Staff is super friendly and courteous.

Excellent service! We went during the lunch rush and they were very accommodating and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Went on one of the busiest times (which is a Saturday morning) and the service was still excellent!! My waitress did a phenomenal job making my party feel like a priority! Family friendly atmosphere, great food, and awesome service!

The staff is very friendly and the food is stick to your ribs home cooking, a staple for us on the weekends. The breakfast options are amazing and they do not skimp on portions.

I always want to like this place, but I think this is one instance where popularity causes the quality to suffer. The food is almost always rushed, and one can tell. It's been frightfully bland nearly everytime I've ordered from here. I usually bring my food home and have to season it quite a bit. They also always mess up my order. Every single time. I also attribute this to the rush. I usually just forget it because i dont want to drive back and wait for whatever i ordered. They probably owe me several orders of pancakes lol. It's too bad because the menu sounds so appealing and Im a big fan of diners. Drawback of popularity.

This is a Sunday morning breakfast spot for us,however the last 2 times have been subpar you can always tell when management changes and the cooks change because the quality of food suffers,ask for bacon was so hard and greasy it wasn t even edible and to top it off the manager couldn t even be bothered to come by the table not even one time to apologize or even bring new bacon out ,but yet the table behind us had food brought out wrong and the woman manager made sure to bring there s out to them but never stopped to ask if everything was ok with our table. Very disappointed metro use to be the go to spot but looks like we will be taking our business elsewhere...

I special order my favorite sandwich and they make it perfect each time!!!! The Mike, is what I call it. Chicken and Waffle grilled cheese.

Never have I ever had a waitress, make an item that wasn't on the menu.. my husband asked if they had cocktail sauce for his fish. They waitress said we don't but what's in it? She was like I think we have all those ingredients I'll try to make it if you want me too... That is some great service for a big city restaurant! Our first time eating at metro we would definitely go again.

The breakfast pie and loaded hashbrowns were fantastic!

The visit was great. My server was very helpful and she took time to explain several things in the menu. I came within an hour of closing time so my order came very fast. Within about ten minutes my order was prepped, bagged, and ready to go.

I always come here for breakfast when visiting family. They give you a lot of food for cheap and it's all delicious. There's always a lot of people if you're not early but the wait is never longer than 10-15 minutes. The waiters and waitresses are very kind and helpful, they also work quick!

My favorite breakfast/brunch place of all time. The portions are hearty and the staff ifls great.

Ahh how I miss diners from NJ. This as close as you will get to that. Friendly service and a good selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. This is definitely our gontobspot after church!

Definitely where the locals eat. My personal favorite is the southern eggs benedict. It's a secret menu item that only appears as a special. It can be ordered anytime though! Service is unmatched. The food is affordable and tasty.

The chicken and waffles (served with strawberry butter) is SUPERB. No lie, this is the BEST fried chicken I've had in Jacksonville. Even better than Publix fried chicken. It is always packed in here but the wait is never too bad. It's worth it.

Always good food and attentive staff. If you got a good thing you should share it, my mother always told me. Metro started in a small place on Hendricks Ave in Jax years ago with inspired food and great service so they franchised out to multiple locations and cities. The problem is that each time you clone, the copy fades somewhat. The food is still great and the service is still special but I feel like the food has faded somewhat from the original. I still recommend any location as far above the standard fare from the likes of your typical chain places for breakfast/lunch and highly recommend for unique food and a singular experience.

Absolutely loved there homemade hash 10 star for that. Great customer service very nice an polite an was right on top of the service great little diner....
