I joined with McIntyre in the winter of 2011. My first job offer from them came in late March 2012 for a temp assignment in Stamford. It was okay money, $13/hr for 37.5hr/wk in Stamford. I worked there for most of April until I called out sick on a Thursday because I had come down with a virus. I received multiple calls from McIntyre asking where I was, even though I had left two messages with the employer stating I was not going to make it in that day. They said OK and to feel better. The next morning I was not better and was in no condition to go back into an office, let alone leave my bed. I received a call from McIntyre stating that the employer did not need me anymore. I probably should have just gone into the office with my sickness to keep my job.

The second offer came mid-August 2012 for a temp-to-permanent assignment in the next town over for $15/hr for 40hrs/wk. I was already working but this assignment was guaranteed through December and paid more so I interviewed for it. They decided to hire me. Both McIntyre and this employer were adamant that this assignment was guaranteed through December with the possibility of permanency. I give my employer my notice and began the assignment following week on Monday with another temp worker. All went was going well until Friday when I received a call from my agent at McIntyre, J.F., that the employer didn't need the temps any longer. I said there must be a mistake because all was going well at the employer and were still making plans for me to meet people within the company. J.F. said no, there's no mistake and gave no explanation why I wasn't needed anymore. So, I quit my job and lost my other one within 6 days of each other.

McIntyre employees are incompetent and unprofessional, to say the least. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND using McIntyre. I agree with the other poor ratings on here and am not surprised their score has dropped within the past year. STAY AWAY.

Michael Malbin was very great to work with. He took my sincere interests in a career and provided me with relevant/applicable recommendations. Landed me a great position working with a very well-known brand. Overall great guy and easy to work with.

Pure madness. Scott Johnson is very deceitful. He post a job in one city, then copy and paste the same in another. I called him out for this and he stop looking for jobs for me, well he never was in the first place, just wasting your time. What a joke!!!

All the negative reviews here echo my experiences with this extremely unprofessional and uncaring firm. The owner professes to "care" about people, but she, like her order-taker mignons, is a real phony. If you're an educated professional, skip this incompetent firm. They are only interested in you if you are a square peg for their square hole. They are very rude and inconsiderate on the phone, even when you only check in once a month. Takes them more than a week to get back to you. Their interpersonal and written skills are a joke and I now realize that I definitely should not have had these amateurs representing me. The two Melissas and their staffs are the worst of all of them. Typical money-hungry users (especially the one in CreateBuzz or whatever they call it) who knows nothing about the jobs that she and her so-called "professional" staff are recruiting for. Went to another top firm and was placed within 30 days. This new firm has intelligent, sophisticated, human resources professionals that had my best interests at heart. Skip these losers and go directly to a professional firm and save yourself lots of lost time. Wish I had!

She is a very calming voice to the crazy world of temping, she always puts everything into perspective where at the end of the conversation, you're like 'OK, what was I worried about to begin with'?? Whoever is writing a positive review must be an employee because all my experiences with this organization have been negative.

First, about 3 years ago, I tried reaching out to the Shelton, CT office for assistance in finding a job. I was literally ignored, even when i called and left a message.

Fast forward to March, 2016: I was assigned a Recruiter who asked for my resume and then never contacted me again! So, after about 2 weeks of calling the Norwalk office itself, I finally got assigned to a new Recruiter. Long story short, I go in for an interview with her and get my resume torn apart. Not that I didn't appreciate the help (I've gotten nothing but positive feedback and interviews with good companies since) but did she really have to be so rough? Anyways, I got "offered" 2 job openings that I had to decline. One of which because she literally contacted me on the DAY OF the assignment! Then, I also had to endure a tongue lashing for calling back and leaving only my first name in a voice mail. Ummm...ok... NO need to talk down to me!

Anways, after all that, she basically cut me off without so much as an explanation. That's fine, though; thanks to the resume revisions I've been able to move forward on my own. Net-net: stay away! Unless, of course, you want a free resume consultation... then, by all means.

One of my close friends has used Liz to help her find the job she is currently at - and for MONTHS my friend would rave about how amazing and helpful Liz was - and now I can definitely confirm all the hype to be true. (---UNPROFESSIONAL---) I wish I can say that I had the same experience as Jacob and Diane. I am a professional with 10+ years of experience and have worked in some top organizations. But I do NOT have my college degree. I was laid off last year due to cutbacks, applied like a mad woman and received a call from Kelly Demassi at the McIntyre Group wanting me to come in about current job opportunities. BIG MISTAKE! I get in there and wait for over 30 mins...by this time I am a little PO'd then finally this girl Phoenix or it could hae been Phoebe walks in who handles temporary staffing - I told her I was not interested in temping and she then gets snippy with me and pretty much rushes me along. Kelly then comes in15 minutes later, looks at my resume and says "Oh, you do not have a college degree, come talk to me when you get one." and begins to wrap up until I ask her about the so called "jobs" they had me come in for. She then replies "Oh, I'm sorry but you're not qualified." WHY did you have me come in then??? I will never go back to that god awful firm nor recommend them, especially Phoenix/Phoebe or Kelly to anyone looking for work. I am now working with Execu Search, Michael Page, and Merritt Staffing and am very satisfied with their recruiters . I've had 5 interviews in which I am currently still in the process with 3. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I cannot say enough good things about the McIntyre Group and, more specifically, the recruiter with whom I worked, Sarah Binderberger. I had never worked with a recruiting agency, so when I was given her contact information from a friend after a lay-off, I didn t really know what to expect. I sent off an email to the recruiter with the thought that, at worst, it would be a good idea to have someone glance at my resume.

Within a couple of hours, I had a response from Sarah, and within two days, I was sitting in an interview room at the Norwalk office. After two years of industry research, brief stints of contract work, and working with virtually every online job board and recruiter in New England, I have come to the conclusion that The McIntyre Group is the best staffing agency around. The McIntyre Group, however, is by far the most professional, efficient, and generally competent staffing agency I have ever worked with. Sarah Binderberger, specifically, has given me the best resume advice that I have ever received, which more than doubled the number of interview invitations I received per month. After landing three interviews and scoring offers with all three companies (even after arriving twenty minutes late to one of them due to GPS issues), I am finally in the best possible position to build a career. After taking some time off from working full time to start a family I was incredibly nervous about finding a new job that would fit my family lifestyle. I worked with Sarah Binderberger at the Mcintyre Group. From the moment I stepped into her office she made me feel comfortable and confident. She helped me re-vamp my resume and placed me right away in a position. Although that position didn't work out, it was not her fault and she very diligently and eagerly placed me at a new company.
