Food was awful and pricey. I had the tuna and it was overcooked, my boyfriend had the veal and pasta and it was extremely greasy and to top it all my niece had the pepperoni pizza and she found a piece of metal in her pepperoni.
There are other restaurants in that area that are way better.
My first google review ever. I went on Tuesday night with my wife, not busy, I ordered a craft beer which never came, the waitress is impatient and service is very very terrible. I will definitely not come again....
I love to spend time in Marlowe. The resturant is both fancy and fun. I can have a great meal first and an hour later dance and have lots of fun. Specially Wednesday nights they have salsa training and dance that maks me to count down for that night all week. Recently I tried Friday night as well and it was even more fun. The most important point about Marlowe is its friendly atmosphere. When you go there for the second time you feel every body knows you and this means that they care about people and this is lovely for me.

Really nice place in Markham. They have great selection of food and wine. The place is also good for parties. After 10pm on the weekend the place turns into a mini club.

Amazing place, great for a night out and get together with friends! Great atmosphere, wonderful service and delicious food. Patio is big and we walked inside to see the place. It is an amazing space for corporate events, parties, engagements, baby shower and more. We absolutely loved it. We tried some appetizers, seafood pasta, kale salad and pizzas. The one with mushrooms is out of this world yummy. Very good international menu for any taste. Dessert menu looked amazing too but will have to come back for that.
We had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah here and it was spectacular! The staff were such a pleasure to deal with. They helped us plan such a memorable evening for our daughter. The night of our event, the service was impeccable and the food was amazing! We would definitely have another event here!

Had a bad experience where the DJ was racist to us. The GM wrote me after I emailed them, and asked me where I was sitting to help them to investigate. Later found out that its under new owners, managers, and DJS. Explains a lot. Been going there for 5 years. No more.
Good food and service. The bison burger was great. Ask for some chipotle mayo on the side for the fries. The cheesecake was nice and light. The chocolate lava cake was hard like a brownie.
I had my baby shower here on Saturday, it was a very successful event! The entire process in dealing with The Marlowe was a very professional experience. I expressed and interest in the restaurant via telephone and was quickly directed to Steven Campbell - he was very quick to respond to all of my emails & questions. He went out of his way to meet me on multiple occasions to go over all of the details of my event to ensure it was executed as I expected. The day of the event, Yuri was very responsive to our needs. He allowed us to set up early in the restaurant with our decor, and offered us assistance throughout the entire day. We had a buffet brunch here for my baby shower with approx 45 guests. I can tell you, there wasn't one guest who didn't compliment the service and the food. There was always a server readily available offering drinks and asking how we were all doing. I have been to many restaurants and banquet halls to host functions, and I can say that this exceeded my expectations. The day felt stress-free and enjoyable! Exactly how I wanted to feel as I am 9 months pregnant :) haha! Anyway, thank you to the entire Marlowe Team from Steven, Yuri, The Chef and the servers the day of my function. You guys did great!

It was our first time going to this restaurant (and last time for sure) in Leslie location. It was the worst experience we had. The food was awful ...our waitresse was rude and impolite. In total I don't recommend this restaurant AT ALL.

been here on multiple occasions, and as much as the food has been inconsistant, but usually good (not necessarily worth the price for the quality and amount), it was still always an option for a special occasion dinner (ex. birthdays and anniversaries). after my latest experience (on a saturday night at 5:45pm) however, this will be the last. food was good. service was okay. but what peeved our party the most was they had added the gratuity on a party of four without telling us. the bill had the subtotal, tax, total and then a 15% automatic gratuity. when the server handed us the machine to pay our bill, it again prompted us to give a tip. this is shady practice! i understand automatic gratuity for large parties, but for a party of four with no warnings in fine print or no mention of it from the server, that is uncalled for. had the person paying our bill not been super vigilant in checking the prices, it would have gone unnoticed and we would have double tipped. never had this happen at ANY restaurant, even fancier finer dining experiences.
I always enjoy myself at Marlowe. The staff always makes me feel like family. I really like the service and my fav waitress is Amina. She always remembers what i wamt to drink amd how i like my stake....the fact that the staff shows that much interest in their clients...says alot....5 star in my books...
This is the lowest rating I've given a restaurant. But please take this with a grain of salt.
I went with a few friends for a casual place to hang out and catch up. I ordered the beet salad. It was $16 and there was no aspect of it that could justify that price point! All the ingredients could be bought from Costco and made in 3 mins. Seriously, the mixed green box, cooked vacuum-packed beets, goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, some balsamic vinaigrette and VIOLA! I don't think consumers are fooled when you add "antioxidant" to an item, and make ZERO effort to set it apart from dishes they can make at home! (I understand salads are pretty basic, but had they added ie candied spiced walnuts, or anything that could make it pop, this review would've been all positive.)
All that said, the experience itself was pretty good! I ordered 2 mules and they were DEF worth it! It was really delicious. There is awesome music and dancing (lessons too, I think), which gave the place a new exciting vibe. Also, the waitress was super nice and friendly!
Honestly, the only thing that got on my nerves was an expensive but an obviously unimaginative salad. Had they charged $10 or less I would've given the place a higher rating because almost everything else about the place was fantastic. I'm not really excited about trying this place again.
We came to Marlowe for BF's bd on Saturday night. We had a large party and the place was packed. Service was good and they were working hard. We chose from a four course preset menu. I loved the veal scaloppini and the cheesecake. A couple of our guests got their food a few minutes after but it was no one complained. We got bottle service after and danced. Music was pretty good. Mix of things. We really liked few Latin dance songs they threw in between and got us all dancing. We'll go back and may throw our engagement party there.
Food was just warm, not hot. Cheese on meatball appetizer not completely melted. Waitress was in such a hurry that she did not waited for us to finish our request several times. She gave us the bill and not even asking us if we wanted anything (like coffee or tea). I really had to catch her before she ran away. Lamb was good. The bright side.

I have been in Richmond hill for just over 5 years and frequently visit Marlowe. Sometimes for dinner but more often for a night of dancing. It s close to me and it always has good music and a decent atmosphere and enough people to make it a good place to be. Other than Marlowe downtown is the place to be but I find in Markham/ Richmond hill there isn t too many good places to go with good music, a dance floor and a decent sized crowd.
I used to love going here the service and food was great! Last night however was terrible. It was my girlfriend's birthday. And let's just say it wasn't great. The food wasn't good. I sent my steak back for being to rare twice. Second time I just said forget it. The waitress was probably high or over worked. Orderd water which we never got. This place is poorly managed. I didn't leave a tip which I always do even if the service wasnt the best but I was to upset to.I'll probably not be returning.
I recently attended my friend's birthday bash at Marlowe Restaurant. I had a mouth-watering house salad dressed in balsamic vinegar and the atlantic salmon. Downside: A very busy parking lot with some paid stalls. I had to circle quite a few times in order to find a spot!
The servers treat you like you are below them. Very rude.

Was absolutely terrible.The manager was very rude and unprofessional. He took our order and mixed up the order ,and he start to frisking out and yelling no he order this ! I haven't seen any restaurant with this kind of management

Do not I say do not plan an event here! We had a party of about 15 arriving for dinner at 8pm and we didn't eat until after 10! It took over an hour for our food to get to us so we had to fill up on bread. At 10pm they start the club portion of the evening and you can only imagine how difficult it is to eat with laser light a shining in your eyes. The server we had was rude, didn't listen, and rushed people to pay. One of the couples at our event stepped outside for a cigarette and they were gone too long for the servers liking and he came and started to hound me and aggressively saying "where are they!? They need to pay this bill! I cannot find then and someone will be paying for this!" Implying that because I was the coordinator of the party I had to pay if they didn't come back which was not their intention at all! I had to escort the server to the patio where they were clearly standing and had to tell him that it is not my job to hunt down people to pay their bill and to leave me alone for the rest of the evening. Bad service, horrible music mix, and tight spaces... if you're thinking of coming here for an event, just don't...
We hosted our wedding reception at Marlowe and were absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.
Sam, Alison, and the rest of the team at Marlowe were fantastic and helped us through out our planning process with helpful advice and made our party a wonderful event for my wife and I.
The food was a huge hit, with many of our guests raving about their meals and the flat iron steak I had was perfect.
Service was really great as well, they were on point all night and took great care of us.
The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, we particularly loved the setup and dance floor arrangements the staff made for us.
Full marks across the board. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
Marlowe's was packed for reservations. I really had my heart set on going here for my birthday. So I reached out a few times to Ann Marie that totally accommodated my party size. They made a table just for us. Thank you for everything!
Will never go back. Took over an hour to get our drinks and they were wrong manager didnt want to deal with us tried to ignore us and pass us off on another server. The server had autonatic gratuity and tried to refuse us our change. Initially i called for a reservation they said they would call me back and never did i had to call back and then they called us a cab 7 ppl 1 cab was called... I have never had such horrible service my friends birthday was runined and although they reimbursed us it was 2 hours later of being ignored by both the server and mangement. Couldnt believe how unprofessional everyone was at that place and the only reason we demanded a refund was because it was also $10 cover and we never got offered food or time to dance because we were waiting for our drinks.

Good service (replaced my tea when I wasn t sure if it was a flower or a bug) and good steak. Loved that it came with potato croquettes. Try the banana fritters yummy and super sweet.

I recently had my bridal shower at Marlowe, I have to brag about the great experience I had, from food to service were very accommodating. I had a selected menu for my shower which I was a bit worried about, but every dish that was served was delicious and all of my 93 guests were extremely happy with everything. ( flat iron steak, rigatoni pasta and salmon were our favs!) Dealing with a very pleasant man (Steven Campbell) throughout the planning of my shower was a breeze, any concerns I had he was right there helping me solve the problem. I would definitely come back to plan another event or even just a dinning night with friends! Thanks Marlowe :)

I am a regular customer at Marlowe. Best customer service! All staff members are very friendly and talkative, and never let you get bored. A great place to go on a date. They have private tables, a dance floor for large parties, a DJ, and great music. Salsa dancers would love it! The food is not overprices compared to other restaurants in the area;its in the hottest spot of Richmond Hill after all.
My wife and I looked for different venues from chain restaurants to banquet halls and they offered the best deal. Given the upscale venue we didn't expect that at all. I threw my my wife's BD party there last week. Really liked the food and the music and dancing. Nice staff and the manager really worked hard to please. Coming back for our anniversary party in Feb.

My family and I recently had our third event at Marlowe Restaurant and Wine Bar and I am happy to say that it was a success. On July 10th 2016 I threw a Baby Shower for my sister, where we occupied the mezzanine and dance floor areas. We were permitted to arrival early allowing us ample time to set up. The venue was clean and the floor plan was set out to my specifications. Throughout the afternoon the wait staff was kind, courteous, helpful and professional. Our guests were properly attended to and the wait staff was sure to check in with me periodically to ensure that all was well. As per usual the food was fantastic and our guests with dietary restrictions were properly accommodated. I had a few finicky eaters at the event and each of them made a point of telling me that the food was top notch! Additionally the portions were ample and no guest went home hungry. We went with one of the pre-set lunch menus that offered our guests choices from a select number of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. All selections were cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. The area that we rented was at the back of the venue and had a drape to offer a level of privacy... a nice touch. Marlowe was also accommodating, allowing for all of my decorations.. Basically I was given carte blanche to arrange the area as I pleased. As I noted before, this was the third event we have had at Marlowe and it has yet to disappoint. Each time I entertain other venues for small to mid-sized parties I always come back to Marlowe for the impeccable food, the kind and courteous wait staff and the beautiful ambiance that is Marlowe. I look forward to planning my next event at Marlowe Restaurant and Wine Bar in the near future, as they have made a life time customer in me!

My boss and I came in here after a long day of work, Amina was our waitress and she was amazing! She was attentive and took care of us. After a long day this is the kind of service you want, I will absolutely return.

I had a very bad experience with my friends at Marlowe's Restaurant. Food was delayed too much, The food service staff is very rude, food quality not very good but Prices are very high. Overall a very bad experience for me. I will never go back to this restaurant and would not advise anyone to go there.
My wife and I with three other couples visited Marlowe for the first time. We loved the seafood and the steaks. Good service. Beautiful restaurant and a full dance club on weekends.
The reason I gave one star is because our waitress Ami..a was not professional and several times she tried to correct my accent about the menu items. Hey lady you are not english teacher. About the food, we ordered chicken pizza and penne it was so so.
We had a baby shower here for 40 guests. Everything from the food to the service, was absolutely beyond our expectations. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and they helped so much to ensure our event went smoothly. Can not recommend them enough!!! 5/5

My husband and I wanted to have a small wedding and didn't want to do a big banquet hall... We wanted to go somewhere to have dinner then dance after. Marlowe was a perfect venue... The atmosphere was amazing, the service was awesome and food was great! All my guests were impressed and only had good feedback to give. Everyone had so much fun dancing after. Although the food did take long to come which then made my bill a bit higher because people were waiting and what else can you do but drink more lol. It was busy so it was understandable why it took long but either way everyone had a great time which was the most important thing. Yuri and Luciano was so accommodating and great. I dropped off my centre piece give aways place cards etc. before the ceremony and yuri set it all up without even me asking!! So nice and it helped us to just relax and not rush. And I also want to give a big thank you to the manager Steven who helped us organize and set up this event... The process was so smooth, communication was great, always responded quickly and had everything organized and it was not stressful at all. He was amazing to work with. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to hold an event! Thank you Marlowe and Steven for making this such a great experience!

We were a group of 16, super diverse, young and vibrant and there for a Birthday dinner with reservations. Although we were a large group, the servers and management were not attentive and made us feel as if we weren't as important as the other groups who were a bit older and not as diverse (super white) The service was okay still and the food is kinda just okay. I don't think it's worth the price for the quality and portions you get. The vibe is like a old sweaty Persian dude who's with his Caked up Caucasian girlfriend in her mid 30's who got her alcoholic mother to babysit her kids.

Beautiful decor, outstanding service, and very, very good food. I can't say enough to praise Marlowe. We had a private family event for 50 here and it was so enjoyable and easy for us.
We had the set price 3- course lunch menus and the choices were diverse and delicious. Some guests told me the salmon was the best they'd ever had.
The staff happily helped us with our minimal decor when we didn't have time to set it up. Our guests with dietary restrictions were accommodated and loved their meals. Even late comer guests were served with the same attention to detail.
The entire experience from beginning to end was perfect. I can't wait to go back.

Amazing 40th Birthday.! From the original booking with Steven (who is a pleasure to talk too) right until we were leaving when the night was over they took care of me. I have Celiac disease and the managers as well as the chef came out to check on me many times to make sure I was fine. They took extreme precaution when preparing my food so I would not get sick. All of my dinner party of almost 40 people loved the food. , service and atmosphere. We ate ,drank and danced the night away. Thank you to Marlowe for making my 40th Birthday one I will never forget. We will all be back again as this place is top notch!

I just went to have a light meal with a friend. I had never been there. The cesear salad with grilled shrimp was incredible. The best I've ever had. Great service from Jenna and nice and relaxing atmosphere outside on the patio. I want to bring my family next time I go and also go with girlfriends to dance on a Saturday or Friday night.
Went back the next night with family AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. ETHAN AND SIMONA WERE FANTASTIC. I have created an event on Facebook with a bunch of my girlfriends to go on Friday for Ladies Night in 3 weeks.

Service is very slow, yes I realize they are busy but it is not an excuse. We had to wait an hour and half for our food to come. Barely up to par food is overpriced. No refills on soft drinks!
