Mahdi was such an incredible host! Food was amazing and brought out so quickly. Incredible service, amazing place.

Food quality is good and I love the place because of the DJ and dance floor, but the service is not good at all

I've been to Marlowe's several times in the past for dinner as well as for work holiday functions. This year, I had the opportunity to organize my department's holiday party and it turned out to be great--thanks for the great service provided by the staff at Marlowe.

I was quite impressed as I hadn't been to the restaurant in at least 3 years prior to last night. The food was good and we had approximately 53 guests served with a three course meal. Although the chicken was somewhat bland, the steak was moist and pasta was flavourful. The mushroom soup and salads were also hits!

The atmosphere was great. They permitted the use of their projector throughout the evening for our slide show and a DJ was brought in by the restaurant at around 10pm so that our guests could dance. All in all, a great place to host an event. We will definitely consider this for future work events.

Special thanks to the floor and event managers who helped facilitate this event. They were very friendly and provided exceptional service.

Went to Marlowes for a birthday dinner, and service was disappointing. Firstly the host wanted a cover charge when we were there for dinner and called it a nightclub. I was one of the guests attending and ordered the summerlicious dinner, our server had forgotten and mixed up our orders several times - delay of over an hour. Drinks took so long to come to the table and one of our meat pastas were served with no meat in them. I think the owner should take all of the negative reviews into account as constructive criticism rather than taking them personally. From a business perspective, this place is going downhill.

Just ok... I don't write reviews but I feel I should, and not as a deterrent for customers but an honest critique for the management. Fish was dry, overcooked, and not even a sauce on it. Served with flavour-less, limp greens of some sort, and plain rice. Beer should be about 5-10 degrees colder which is why I only had one. Meal was overpriced. Nice place, waitress was quite friendly but I would not return.

The worst dining experience I've had in GTA. Actually, the worst dining experience in entire Canada as such. I've never had such a severe heartburn as the one past dining at this place. Music and dancing grounds are fine, but you definitely do not want to eat there. The cook (I deliberately don't want call him/her a chef, most definitely he/she doesn't deserve it) obviously doesn't know how to cook. So, the question is, why to go there if you can't, well, by all means - should not eat there and there are more elaborate dance places in the city? Never heading out there again! This place is definitely in my personal blacklist.

I had a good time, everything I asked for was given and well accommodated for.

By far the best wedding dinner had. Attended a wedding here and there food was so great.

We came to Marlowe last year during the club entertainment time. It was quite busy.After a year I came back for dinner. Very nice place, good food and really cheap compared to mid town or downtown. Food and service was also better than last year but maybe because it was very busy club time.

My second time going after discovering it. The food was really good although I wanted my steak done a bit more and they did it and the manager came over to check on us which was nice. They had a dj for one night but we really like their regular dj's and the manager told us next week.

Ran in just to use the washroom here, very nice decor inside, very trendy and they have a great wine selection!

I never write reviews bc I tend to consider that one person doesn t speak the entire place, but after our experience, reading other reviews, and to top it off the management responses I m forced to share mine. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a place that advertised their event space as a great place for small weddings. Every bad review has a theme and much like those we experienced the same awful responses to our concerns, very slow service, reservation issues, and no ownership on managements part. Tina is useless and it s shocking she holds this position. We hosted my sisters wedding celebration there last weekend and must apologize to the wedding prior to ours because they suffered the unfortunate experience of being kicked out of their area they had booked 40mins early bc of the planner s incompetence. I won t get into details of how many things went wrong bc it ll take me days but Yuri and the gentleman who met us at the door were awesome and very apologetic. Thank you for ruining the most important day in my sisters life for all of us. She is deaf and has battled lupus her entire life experiencing surgeries and procedures year after year. This was a day we never thought would ever happen. If you expect the service to change it won t. Clearly management doesn t care and is setting the tone bc it comes from the top down and this place is a big disappointment if you re expecting to get what you pay for. I never read the reviews bc it was my sister s request to go here having never been and it worked with her plan for dancing after her reception. I wish I read the numerous bad reviews. Never ever again. I cringe when I think about that day. Sad bc it was supposed to be an amazing event for our family. At least the bride and groom never noticed a thing and thank god they couldn t hear Tina s tantrum bc she couldn t remember any details regardless of the numerous emails and she never once apologized for her lack of professionalism. Don t ignore what reviews are saying it s all the same thing and management s responses should say it all. I m curious to see their response to this one.

Had an amazing experience! Booked the restaurant for an event. Staff are so helpful and accomodating and the food was superb! Highly recommended ...Steven and Yuri did an amazing job!

It is definitely a great venue for an older crowd. Top 40 music was not what our group prefers but it was bearable last night.

Service was horrible, Ameena is so rude it took her forever to even take our order when the restaurant was empty around 5pm. When we wanted to order thats when when she finally took the order. Food was great tho, Mussels and Steak was cooked to Perfection, Just wish we could've got it with better service. Wont recommend to go for the service.

Wonderful staff, great menu. Jenna is the server in the lounge during the day and you couldn't ask for a friendly server with a deep knowledge of the menu and their wine list. The lamb shank is their best offering on the menu! Overlooked by the lunch crowd in the area. Drop by. You wont be disappointed!!!

My boyfriend and I went out to eat here today. We both ordered steaks and they were both made perfectly. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was exactly what we wanted and we loved it. We would definitely go back!

I held my bridal shower at Marlowe in February and it was a bubbly and brunch theme. It was the most amazing food, service and atmosphere. The servers were amazing and so pleasant to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend Marlowe to anyone looking for a special event space or just a nice day/night out. Thank you again to Alison, Yuri and the team. Absolutely fantastic!

The dance floor is packed every Wed night. Many ppl complain about lack of space and injuries. The DJ and dance instructor are changed every 6 months and getting worse with every change. Very poor management and service.

We went there on a groupn deal and the food , service, atmosphere and portion sizes were great Would recommend to anyone and will go again. Had a great evening we went at 6:30 on a Friday and it wasn't to busy yet but by the time we left much busier so go early if you want a nice relaxing time

Paul was our server and he was super friendly. Food was amazing and since I pre-ordered my lunch it came out exactly on time.

We arrived at this place for lunch. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was delicious. We loved this restaurant very much and we shall definitely come back again. We recommend this place to all.

3 hours in the patio on Sunday night with a great host!
Patio's ambiance and the background music were gold!
friendly host, various delicious starters (nachos so crispy) and new interesting cocktails ( watermelon rum was so good).
our table had variety of main course and all with good taste .
desert was just what you need to finish up this fest ! Ice-cream on cooked banana highly recommend .

Went there for my birthday dinner on Saturday night and was very dissapointed! There is nothing "upscale" about that place. The service was terrible, we were interrupted way too many times by the waiter, they kept forgetting to bring things we asked for, and what we ordered did not arrive in a timely manner. The food was terrible as well and completely overpriced for what it was! I ordered a seafood linguine which was tasteless and stale ($22). The coat check girl was giving attitude, she didn't have change for $5 dollar bill to cover a $2 coat check and instead of making the effort to find proper change she insisted on keeping the bill! And finally the tasteless, low class crowd this place gathers... I guess that's just the reflection of the place's management.

I had Curry Chicken Penne made by the Chef, Krish.
And it was very delightful. Very rich Curry flavour and delicious. And the staff, Amina was very friendly and wonderful.

Me and my girlfriends go to Marlowe often and we absolutely love it, the music is great and we dance all night! I recommend going on a Friday for ladies night to get great deals on apps and drinks! The service is great and everyone is super friendly!

Will not be returning, not recommended. Food was decent, but service was rather disgusting. The server told us on several different occasions that we where wrong ie: no you ordered the salmon... There was way to much reaching, no excuse me or behind you. Probably best not to put someone who doesn't know what they are doing with a table of 10.

We recently celebrated a party at Marlowe. The team did a an excellent job providing attentive service, delicious food, and a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. If you are looking to throw a party of any kind, I would highly recommend Marlowe!

Absolutely terrible. When we first arrived we noticed it was not busy and there were a lot of open seats. We were first seated within a large child's birthday party. When we asked to move, we were then moved onto the dance floor, literally on it, with small bar chairs and a small table, clearly for drinks but not meant for a three course meal. Keep in mind during this time we were looking at all the open tables and diners sitting at regular tables. Finally as we decided enough was enough and got up to leave, we were then seated at an actual dining booth. Do yourself a favour and read the reviews, some love it and some hate it, if you are considering going here for the first time, I wish you luck.
In response to the reply from the owner, IF everything was booked "days in advance," how was a magical table found only when we tried to leave ? Admit whoever was in charge of seating made a horrible mistake, instead of just trying to cover yourself with "reservations days in advance."

Poor service, uninterested servers. For an expensive place, charging $5 cover charge for salsa night, and then allowing you to redeem the coupons for very limited choice of drinks, is poor business practice. Choice of menu very limited for vegetarians. Won't be back.

We had a really great birthday party going on here tonight. This guy named YURI served us and helped us with pictures and really really great attitude. He made lots of jokes and we all laughed. Amazing atmosphere. I defiantly come back and for sure look to see if YURI is working here when I come back. It was a great night.

Went with my girlfriends tonight and we were denied a glass of water unless we purchased an alcohol beverage . Will be taking this issue up with proper authorities. We never encountered this before, truly very disturbing.

Ordered the risotto with salmon added ontop. First of all 23 bucks for rice is wild and it wasnt even that good. Definitely not a real risotto. Additionally the salmon was completely raw and my friends steak was dripping in blood.

Marlowe is a hidden gem in Richmond Hill. The food here - pizza parmigiana and beef shortribs we had were delicious.



This restaurant is surprisingly big with seating areas for almost any type of event. From cosy booths for an intimate dining experience, longer tables made of thick solid stained wood for larger groups, a separate room at the very back for private functions if needed, an extremely long and impressive bar and even a pretty good size dedicated dance floor with a DJ station to boot. Marlowe seems to have it all topped off with a decor that's a nice balance of funky, cool and elegant.

Three of us enjoyed the food, three dishes all perfect. We were served by Jenna, competent and good humored. The restaurant itself is surprisingly nice looking.
I highly recommend it.

Was there with medium sized group, all dishes were served quickly, and were great. Truffle mushroom rigatoni was very good. Would order again.

Great place to have some food and dance those carbs away. Top 40 DJs and throwback music till late night. Yuri is a great sever that'll take care of you.

Aweful service and food. We were celebrating a birthday there on a saturday night and it was a total chaos. The waiters and waitresses were all a mess. Auctioning food because they did not know who ordered what. Steaks were overcooked and tasted like cardboard. And steak knifes were never given until asked. I did not get my food till after my husband was done his steak and was asked multiple times what i had ordered. The food was blend amd tasteless. Spoke to the manager as this wad the worst dinning experience we've ever had and was offered a coupon for 15 bucks off for next time. Ha! Like we would come back. 135 dollar bill and we would have had a better meal at a foodcourt. Much better choices in that plaza.

I tried Marlowe with my date. Loved it. Came here on Saturday night. Had a delicious appetizer platter and the filet steak. Then the music started and it was awesome. I think Marlowe is a Richmond Hill gem

Went here for our Anniversary. Wonderful food and amazing service by Amina. Exceeded our expectations by far. Certainly will be back again!!

This is my go-to restaurant when my friends and family want to meet. There is a lot of variety on the menu, so there is something for everyone. Food is above average, good portion sizes and the taste is delicious.

It supposed to be 1 star. The only reason why I gave two is the waitress served us was very professional, polite and got her job done right. Ordered medium rare steak and I got something cant even called medium. Price is too much compared to the food quality and no wonder there weren't much people come here. For sure not coming back again.

Edit: I've been to many restaurants that serve dry-aged beef and I know what they are. This got nothing to do with dry-aged beef. You failed, own it.

The music here is fantastic!!!! The place turns into a whole club at night Saturdays and Fridays are amazing nice spot to have fun on a weekend. Highly recommended best djs in the game

As we were visiting the area and had not been to Marlowes we thought we would try this restaurant last night. We waited for over 20 mins after being seated to be offered drinks. The young lady who seated us even came by and confirmed someone would be by soon. No one came so we left. Two hostess to seat people but not enough staff to serve people. Lone star served us great drinks and food. Management needs to do better to help their staff provide the service patrons expect.

When looking to book a corporate function, I would highly recommend Marlowe's. This is the 3rd year we have booked Marlowe's for a high profile corporate function and never had any issues. The management and staff are friendly and attentive to the needs of the client. The reservation Manager Steven was great to work with to plan this event. Most importantly is that the feedback from the attendees has been fantastic. i look forward to next year when we do it all over again :)

Had a lovely time with my family. The surrounding was great and the food was delicious. Definitely try out their two can dine meals. Our server Amina was friendly and helpful as well!

It was a nice experience overall, but they stopped serving a bread basket for some reason and it was an unpleasant surprise.

Other than that my experience was amazing, our waiter Yuri was great! The food was very delicious. They also have a great pre fix menu for $ 35 per person, 5 courses on the weekdays and Sundays and it's totally worth it. We'll be back !

New management totally has changed everything. Great food

We were there as a large group for a birthday party. I had always heard about this place but never been. It was a great experience. They ve managed to make the space suitable for both dining and lounging. Great music, people dancing after 10pm and overall a great atmosphere. Our serve was Medya, she was super nice and friendly. The Chicken Pasta is to die for. My wife tried the pizza and that was also very tasty. Portions are generous and the prices are fair.
I d recommend this place if you want to have great food and party at the same time.

Visited Marlowe on Friday night. I loved the steak and shrimp feature. My boyfriend had the rib steak. Ordered a bottle of wine and decided to stay for the dancing. Really enjoyed the night. Going back for my birthday with friends for dinner and dance again..yay

Waitress was friendly and the food was alright for the party I was in. The decor is very nice as well.
However, it seemed too pricey for the quality of food. Getting water, refills, and our food took way too long. The waitress also walked away while I was in the middle of ordering a drink.
The music was also far too loud as well when no one was on the floor or interested in dancing for the 2 hours I was there.

Horrible service, food ok. 2 mistakes during one visit (wrong bottle, wrong dish), mgmt rejected to reflect this on the bill. Time between ordering a bottle of wine and its delivery - 40 min.

Good place for large group events and farewell parties. Nice atmosphere and lots of space.

Came in for a business lunch last week. The restaurant was fairly busy but we still had a great service. We ended up having some dishes off the lunch features, very tasty Turkey Meatloaf. Good ambiance.

Terrible service, we waited for over 2 years. Don't think I will visit this restaurant again.

Long waits, nothing special. The pizza cheese was the pre-packaged grated cheese, and the pizza sauce tasted like the canned variety. I was told that the food and service here was amazing so I came in with high expectations and was honestly underwhelmed by everything. Service was slow, no one stopped by to see how the food was, etc. Probably wouldn't come back.

Hadn't been to this place in a while...with the new management at Marlowe there is a great service and atmosphere. We really enjoyed their new patio, the friendly atmosphere, and the quick service!!! Just what we needed for a good night out during this pandemic! We ended up staying for more than 3 hrs and kept ordering. Loved our server but don't know his name!

OMG what happened. Been here many times last year and the place was amazing. First time this year and this place changed for the worse. The beer was stale, the service was surly, and the food was inedible.

Since we were in the area, we decided to walk in to Marlowe's today to see if they had any seating available. As soon as we walked in, the lady at the front (didn't get their name) was rude, had an improper tone and an attitude from the start. She asked us if we had reservations, we said no and were just wondering if we could walk in. She literally laughed in a condescending manner and scoffed at what I had said and then proceeded to say "well you have to make a reservation" so then we responded by saying we had tried to call, but weren't able to go through, so we just decided to come in and try our luck. She then responds again in a rude tone implying we're lying and saying "what are you talking about we always pick up our phone" I was extremely shocked and taken aback by this attitude. I completely understand that these are hard times, but there's no reason to have such a nasty attitude to potential customers. She literally scared us of, will NEVER be coming to this restaurant, I do not recommend. Please go somewhere you will be respected. To the lady who works here I hope you get this message across, and learn to treat fellow human beings with decency and some form of respect.

Delicious restaurant close to home. One of my favourite places to visit for a girl night!

I ve never had such terrible service with attitude. The server s name was Uriy, he was rude to my wife when she asked to modify a food order based on a food allergy. Which every restaurant always does to get repeat customers. After our request, we waited 20 mins for our drinks and the place wasn t busy at all. Our food took an additional half an hour and was luke warm with sloppy presentation. If been in the industry for 19 years and have NEVER been treated so poorly and talked down to. I strongly recommend not taking a chance in this disgusting establishment.

I visited this restaurant 7 times, I noticed the service improvements lately due to a new management/manager. Sam was a great guy receiving and welcoming people in a great friendly way.
Service is now faster, servers care more and food and drinks were great. Especially the lamp chunk it melts in your mouth (A big thank you to the restaurant's chef).
I'll repeat my visits with my family and friends over and over again. GREAT JOB GUYS. KEEP IT UP.

this person should really get fired. i have tried other places in the area and NONE have servers like this?! how does the restaurant allow for this when other customers have left unhappy??? our WHOLE section was unhappy with her service (emina was her name, i believe) when we asked the group beside us and they had the same expereince... came to marlowe for dinner and clubbing two weeks ago, the WORST expereince. emina was EXTEREMLY rude and standoff ish, never offered a refill for our waters, gave us the wrong order and never apologized... SMELLED like cigarretes and some other stuff...i felt digusted of how other people stand the SMELL and her TONE.. i suggest anyone to NOT spend their money here.

I came on a Friday night, which are known to be their 'club nights'. Me and a few girlfriends ordered drinks at the bar and enjoyed the dance floor. Had an amazing night. 100% recommend and will be back soon!!

poor experience at Marlowe, I invite my friend for dinner on tuesday 4th APR to this place after many years that I met her. they just embarrassed me the way they served our dinner and drink ,all with long delay and when it was cash out time waiter left the card machine and bill at the table and left , machine didnt work and we were waiting finally we were walking to the front desk waiter appeared .I talked to manager about that terrible service we got ,HE JUST SAID SORRY ...I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND MARLOWE

I tried this spot before with a friend and I am addicted ever since. I like the excellent ambience and delicious food and drinks. Great work.

Slow service (Thursday lunch). We had a reservation for 10 that ended up being 8. Arrived at 12pm. Waiter came by 10 minutes after arrival and we informed him that we were all present. Took a drink order, but missed half the table. Took our appetizer order 10 minutes later. Had to be asked to take our lunch order at 12:50pm (he said that he didn't think we had all arrived yet??). Came back 15 minutes later to explain that they didn't have part of an order available (onion rings). Lunch arrived at 1:30pm, too late for some who had to go back to work. The restaurant did not seem that busy, or at least not busy enough to justify 90 minutes between arriving and being served lunch.

Came for birthday, the food, service, price is very reasonable compared to othere places. The best restore club in Markham.

I usually don t do food reviews. But with my allergy to onions I meet a lot of restaurant managers and chefs.. gotta say the general manager Seth and Executive chef Chris are on point..... felt like a food critic with the service
