Nice selection of beer but food was mediocre. I had the chicken schnitzel and it was really dry.

Food is ok. Lil pricy. Quality of the steak wasnt the greatest. Steak was over cooked, had to wait for another one. No apologies for their mistakes. Staff was not accommodating.

This is an amazing restaurant, it s an open atmosphere, the staff are all friendly.
Warning: It s not for people that are on a budget.
You have been warned!
However, it is a clean restaurant the food is decent.

A good place for drinks in midtown at night. Beer selection is vast, but the food is a little pricey. Not that lively at lunch

Great food and patio, though service is a bit slow. The Summerlicious menu is a pretty good value. The duck wings are really tender and well seasoned.

Had a blast grabbing drinks at the bar. Kristin, the bartender, was very helpful in choosing our drinks. Even though the place was packed, service was still good and outstanding. The manager made sure we were accommodated and asked us how we were. We had a good conversation about the place and learned about their love of beer. Cheers

They changed their menu, and their food has gone down hill. I ordered a poutine with Beir and bacon mussels, the bacon tasted like it was chopped up and thrown in raw, I'm not a certified chef but couldn't they atleast satay the bacon prior to adding into the pot??? as for the poutine, it was horrible compared to their old recipe which was hands down my fave poutine! My partner ordered their usual salmon with quinoa and also was very disappointed with the new recipe. What was once our fave go to restaurant has now turned into a 2 thumbs down and never return!!!

Came for a work event. Such friendly, knowledgeable staff. The draft beer menu is extensive, and the staff were super helpful with recommendations. Great energy, great food, great beer.

this was the most amazing sandwich I've had in a very long time. a grilled vegetable sandwich my God it was good. I come to this location about once every 6-8 weeks to meet my sister for lunch. We have been coming here for a couple of years.

Cauliflower steak is amazing. Our server Mabel was also very pleasant!

We went last weekend and we had sample beers and regular wine with chicken wings and calamari. Taste was okay not that great but service was good.

I'm a bit puzzled at all the bad reviews. We live nearby and come here often. We have oysters every other Thursday. We did Oktoberfest there time pretzels were that good and authentic (working for the airline I travelled to Germany more then I like to admit). Beer, oyster, good food and service was always spot on for us. Tina at the bar seems to be here every Thursdays and is our to go server. Cheers, see yuy next week .

Not priced to go to every day and the food is just moderately good. But a fun location and a definite once a month splurge for specialty beer.

Food tastes good and fresh. Service is attentive too. Crazy busy on Fridays for lunch so either get there early or make a reservation.

Perfect stomping ground for beer lovers - and anyone who loves a place with a nice patio. Everything is clean and they have proper Covid-19 practices in place, ie name/number at front door for contact tracing, tables spaced far apart, staff wearing masks at all times, etc. Staff are also friendly: from waiters to management (Janice is a ). Overall, highly recommend this place!

Great Service. Great food. Very organized establishment. If you're with people who love to think outside of the ordinary, this is the place.

We used to love this chain. All the way from when they just had the one original location on The Esplanade. However sadly the Don Mills location lacks some of the basics. We ve been here at least ten times previously. However our last two attempts to eat here went completely sideways. Both times we tried to eat here, we were left stranded at the entrance and completely forgotten by the hostess team. Both times we stood at the front for 10 minutes, the restaurant was empty, staff at the bar saw us waiting and did nothing.

On our last attempt to eat here, the hostess stood by the kitchen talking to other staff the entire time. Eye contact was even made, but no acknowledgement and everyone continued on with their conversations. So we walked out.

Too bad as I was standing there looking at their Event Party packages because I need to plan a party for my staff of 50 people for this upcoming Christmas.

Food was good. Service was sub par even for a chain restaurant.

Would definitely recommend trying this place. Exceptional character, yummy dishes, great service. 5 stars.

The beer menu got reduced to 2 pages from the 30 page book I loved.

18$ wings LMAO ... In the past, I didnt mind pricing when I could get a unique beer but now with a lack luster 2 page beer menu it's just like any other bar but 30% Marked up.

We live in the area. So been here lots of times. A hit or miss kind of place. Sometimes food and service is great sometimes is awful.

Today was not a good day. Ordered a chicken schnitzel today, when it came I was surprised that gravy was all over it- rather than on a side like it always was.

The waitress was ok with changing the order.

However, she insisted that it says on the menu that gravy comes on top of schnitzel. Cut me off in the middle of me explaining that I ordered it before many times to bring the menu- that doesn t say that gravy is on of schnitzel.

She then says that it doesn t come on top of pork Schnitzel. Which doesn t make that much sense. It s exact same description.

Regardless of chef choices. Either be clear on how you serve your food on the menu. or make sure your waitresses are not arguing with clients for no reason.

Went here for a date night and everything was fantastic. The beer, food and service were all exactly what we were hoping for. Thanks to our great server, Jake! He made our night for us with his friendly and attentive service.

We got the onion rings and bier, bacon and cheese dip to start - both delicious. For our mains we got the chicken schnitzel and burger - burger was great but the schnitzel was fantastic. Flourless chocolate cake was a perfect cap to the meal. Yum!

This place has the best and some of the most hard to find beers anywhere! It s a little pricey, but they are offering you beers you can t get elsewhere. It would be nice if they would also add beers from some of the microbreweries from across Canada. I m sure they do in some cases, I just haven t seen any promoted.

*HEALTH PRECAUTIONS *

Patio only, one person in your group has to sign in as per public health regulations. They have hand sanitizer by the host desk, and all the tables are spaced out. They re trying to prevent cross contamination by having each person perform a role (server, food runner, and table cleaner).

*FOOD/BEER*

They had only been opened for 2 days, but had a decent selection of beer on tap from various locations around the world. I had the brie burger with fries, and it was delicious and generous portions. The prices were reasonable and my server with the braids was attentive. Overall I m very happy with my visit.

Something is wrong with the management in this place. 3 times this summer we tried to sit on the patio but we couldn't. Every time, there were available tables, but we were told that they are reserved. The tables were never occupied.. Last week, we were waiting for more than 40 minutes, and finally we give up. My husband was pissed off. It is not a place for group of 4 and more people, if you want to sit outside.

I enjoy the new beer menu. It is much easier to see what is available. The new food menu is nice but I do not like some of the portions for their "Sharing Boards menu". When I ordered the smoked kielbasa sausages it came with two tiny sausages the size of my thumb. They were tasty however, I expected them to be bigger. The Drunken Duck Wings were also tiny compared to other duck wings I've had. However, the sauces that accompanied them were delicious. The Chicken Schnitzel was delicious and was also a large portion. Thankfully that made up for the disappointing appetizers. The waitresses were very nice and friendly however, it took a very long time for them to bring our food during the lunch hour at a time when the restaurant was not very busy. If I were to go back I'll save myself some money and skip the appetizers.

No longer in business. Unfortunately I could not rate this establishment any higher as it has been closed permanently. Other reviews were nothing but glowing but again not having been a patron I can t add or detract from those statements. I believe other locations in the Toronto area are still open.

This place constantly delivers. They serve excellent dishes for fair rates, there is no waiting time even when the spot is packed.

The service was absolutely terrible. As soon as we got there to celebrate my husband s birthday, we received an attitude for not having a reservation, although from the time we got there until we left, the restaurant was virtually empty. It took forever to get drinks to the table and when we were served, the server only seemed interested in serving one end of the table for whatever reason. My daughter and her friend had to physically go to the bar to request a refill. Terribly overpriced for a really subpar experience. Would NOT recommend.

Amazing Beer selection, I had a sour beer (combination of beer with blackberries) which was amazing and taste delicious.
Their food quality is pretty good, it could be better. I tried Nachos (4 out of 5), Spicy sausage pizza (3 out of 5) and fish n chips (4.5 out of 5).
Concern & Suggestion: the pizza crust was somehow uncooked, my suggestion is to make the crust cooked and crispy so the meal will be taste lighter.

Big selection of beers, maybe too much? Menu is also little too German? (Maybe canadien German, I live in Germany for 2 years,). But, yes, it does have different feel, it is something special, different about this place. I been there many times, and I go back again!!

Went during Oktoberfest. Their schnitzel for two was crispy with alot of toppings. I would have opted for a lower price wither less toppings because i felt like there was more of that then chicken. The atmosphere is cozy inside and the service was fast and friendly. I probably won't go back though for lack of selection.

Lot's of choices of beer, but as a place that sells itself with a German name, the atmosphere would be expected to be more European. Ended up drinking overpriced beer in a hipster, modern bar. Something you can find around every corner in Toronto. The staff were nice though.

145 beers to start with is the first thing that stands out.. to support that they have great wine selection and great cocktails. Food is unique and exciting. Duck wings are incredible with a light flavorful dry rub. Outside patio on a nice sunny day definitely makes the experience so much more worth going here. I'd check them out again when i visit Toronto

Over priced, but they do have a different menu than other places like cheese fondue, characturie boards and etc.
