Very historical hotel with over 100 years of service. It can accommodate large scale events. The Cafe Ilang Ilang is world class buffet with nice interior design. Very Filipino themed hotel that tourists will really love.

For mother's day we tried Manila Hotel's lobby bar for dinner where there are local bands who perform your requested songs while you chill and eat your dinner. The band starts by 8:30 and ends by 11-12md. It was a cozy place to dine and their club sandwich is very unique and affordable. The club sandwich is covered by bread. I think you should try it!

We stayed at Manila Hotel for my husband 's birthday.
I reserved a table for 2 at Champagne room and it was amazing, very memorable and
grand!
The food was superb, esp. the sous vide of beef and pommes and iberico pork steak served with 3 different sauces.
The service was
excellent, Ms Jean and their manager Ms Villaroman provided the cake and they sang beautifully accompanied by a violin and piano.
Our celebration is one of a kind, truly fit for a king. The room were we stayed was clean with crisp soft linen.
The staff were very courteous.
Thank you very much.

Best buffet I've had. I like it's buffet better than Sofitel's sure Sofitel has a wider variety but that comes with the paradox of choices. But with Manila hotel's they are all fine exquisite choices and the staffs are sooooo friendly and accomodating.

Hotels lobby and other areas are also amazing if you want to visit a place that is historical and is picture perfect.

A truly "Manila" ambience, from the surrounding Luneta Park to the hotel's interior, everything reeks of Old Manila. It may not be the best hotel in the country right now but it is definitely one of the favorites.

The interior and exterior looks so great. I love the neo-classic look. It's a perfect balance of traditional fused with modern renovations.

I am dissatisfied with a couple of things. The service is terrible. They don't care about what the guest experiences. Every time I ask for something, I get a redirection to someone else that also won't do it for me. Everyone is not accountable. Something you can expect from normal Filipinos but not at a high-class place like Manila Hotel. I've asked the staff for something and they said, you can't ask from me, please ask your area waiter. I'm like, isn't it just one hotel? I should only have one interface with the hotel staff once to get what I want. This has happened countless times. I'm incredibly dissatisfied. I'm expecting world-class service from a hotel like Manila Hotel. But it's just not there. Even just a mere surprise birthday song, they didn't want to do. Tragic experience.

Also, the parking situation is impossible. Why even have parking tickets if they're incredibly full, every time. It's bad security for the cars parked outside with all those street vendors and homeless people.

This hotel deserves its 5 star rank. It looks grand and beautiful inside. The hotel's interior really showcases Philippine culture and style. Well maintained considering this place was built 1912. The overlooking of Manila from the hotel's window is spectacular. You will wonder how Manila looks like as it is a combination of an old and new structures.

Every year, we always decide to stay at the Manila Hotel-there is nothing like it! We travel a lot everywhere, and nothing would compare to the hospitality and friendliness of the staff in this hotel- not to mention the gorgeous decor, and history behind the surrounding walls.
I would like to give a special shout out to Cid Marco- he works as a lead/server at the Ylang-Ylang Restaurant. Cid is awesome, and that is an understatement! He exemplifies and perfected the true Filipino culture- always going above and beyond with no complaints- always with a great smile! It's people like Cid, who makes us go back to this hotel year after year! Great job Cid and keep up the good work- God Bless always!

Sincerely, David and Gina Mackey - Boston, Massachusetts

A Historic Hotel and a really big hotel and venue....

A Historic Hotel and a really big hotel and venue. But it is time for them to update the rooms to serve the young and modern market.

We were invited to an event party hosted at the Manila Hotel Venue and we enjoyed a good time. The Venue was really big but for the locals think it is not big enough to fit 2,000 people.

As for the Hotel, Lobby was huge, there is a bar, restaurant, and tea room. Staff are efficient and well trained. During checkout though, there was a long wait.

The rooms is very dated and old. Aircond should be serviced. Bed sheets has gone yellow-ish. TV is old, there is a TV in the toilet that came from the 2000s. BUT! The bed is AWESOME! It is nice and hard you get to sleep super well.

The slightly tacky, but still grand Dame of Manila hotels. Always a nice place to occasionally visit for lunch or dinner, and the buffet at ilang ilang, even at nearly 3k, is still worth it,

Quite nice hotel. But isn't worthy of the "5-star" the staffs are just not attentive and the service sucks. The security on the front door did not even bother to open it up for us. Quite disappointing as it is a very basic thing to do

When visiting the Philippines, a must visit hotel.... the architecture and the interior has a strong cultural accent. Enjoy their high tea and have a chance to witness the beautiful manila sunset. For mobile entrepreneurs, the business center is excellent for an online conference as internet is so fast and reliable. Buffets are superb!
