The Manila Hotel is still one of the best histotic hotels in Metro Manila. The lobby is still stunning and so much brighter. The rooms still exude Filipino old world charm and our celebration was more memorable at the opulent Maynila Ballroom. Food was great, staff was friendly. Looking forward to coming back.
You can take a stroll in the nearby Rizal Park or a few more steps to visit the Manila Ocean Park.

Since time and memorial Manila Hotel has always maintained its five star ranking, that's why we always check in this hotel. Even my dauthers 18th birthday was held here in this hotel. The elegant ambience of its lobby, the very unwelcoming staff, the historical and cultural heritage that infused with the contemporary facilities; superb no wonder even Gen. Douglas Mc Arthur spends his days in this Hotel.

I love the clean style, but overall it is disgusting and it is far from cleanliness. Especially, I wish the sauna was clean. The staff are generally nice but some people are unfriendly and start at 6 o'clock. The sauna is down at 7:30. It is still 30 degrees in the sauna. It was very cold and I do not have any towels. I'm feeling bad when I'm naked

Sauna oprns 6 a.m. i went down for sauna 0730 it was not prepared so cold i just sat down in public bath, realized there was no towels displaed, i shouted asking for help. No one came about 10mins. I am not sure what to do. Why did she do that? So shamed felt bad.
I was too shocked to give you a locker key i am going to give you a locker key to reception.

It is a building built a long time ago, so there is an antiquity that can not be seen in classical buildings and new buildings. There is a live concert in the lobby and the condition of the rooms is very nice and clean.

This is one of the most upscale hotels in the entire city. Its reputation goes back decades. From the grand entrance to the rooms, it exudes luxury throughout. Their buffet meal is one of the most sumptuous I've ever tasted, with massive selections of the finest food from around the world. The staff personnel are very friendly, attentive, well-dressed, kind-mannered, courteous and professional. All in all, I'd love to go back there sometime.

nice view kaya lang sana nakyo 4 pannels yung curtain sa executive room kasi bigot ko hindi tuloy maopen kasi kailangan mo buu ang yung curtain. then it does not work other electrical outlets. And that's the 3x key card that has a malfunction on the elevator.

Manila Hotel is historical. General Douglas MacArthur lived here during his stay in the Philippines. His room is still preserved to this day. The ceilings are made of wood. The ambience is a cross between nostalgia and mirth. Employees wear carefully selected Filipino-touch uniforms. Live performances fill its lobby.

We were booked here for the last night of our honeymoon before we were going to fly out. We had a change of plans the day before and found out we need to cancel our room, but when I called they said I couldn't cancel and continued to charge me in full even though we couldn't stay there.

There are much newer, nicer hotels in Makati and BGC for the same price or cheaper, and with better customer service. I'd recommend staying in one of those areas instead, the food is better and there is more to do!

This was my first time at the Manila Hotel, in fact my first time in a five star hotel, it was a really nice place it's clean and tidy the staff were helpful and the rooms were well they were no different from any other hotel I've stayed at neither was anything else apart from the price, or maybe I was just expecting a bit more from a five star hotel

Spacious and clean room.

Spacious and clean room.
But little bit old. No master switch for room lights so walk around all switches when going to bed. Ignorable though...
Located right next to harbor so sometimes horn from the huge cruise ship might be irritating.
Bath room is huge and clean enough. But shower head is too low. Has drain issue.
Swimming pool is okay. Gym is good enough.
Breakfast buffet good. Many kinds, quality okay.

From the beginning, service and hospitality were excellent. From the valet to the front desk to the room personnel, all were very courteous, always welcoming and ready to offer help. The rooms have either a view of Manila Bay or of historic Intramuros. I asked for a view of the bay to see the water and catch the famous sunset. A baby crib is available for free upon request. But do call and reserve in advance as the cribs are limited and the hotel receives a lot of baby guests. (I have observed a number of families with babies during our stay.) The hotel is stroller-friendly, with ramps and elevators to help you get around as you explore the grounds with kids. The family can also hang out at the lobby, where musicians play relaxing music on their classical instruments. Breakfast at the hotel's Cafe Ilang-Ilang was a smorgasbord of International cuisine. Good for families that have discussions about what to eat -- each can try everything! Ask for a table with the view of the pool for more stroller space and natural light.
