La zoo night experience was a blast over the NY. Would love to check it out during the day some time
Love coming here. Great selection of exotic animals. It doesn't compare to San Diego zoo but can't complain. Its local and its definitely a gem
This zoo is very good for little kids and there are snacks everywhere. Plus you get to learn a thing or 2. Did you know that koalas are very aggressive?
The lights were spectacular. Did not want to leave.
I've been a member for a couple years. They've improved and built a lot of nice exhibits. My niece and son love seeing the animals and riding the carousel.
I cannot believe the LA Zoo would be this aweful!! the animals are ALL sleeping or bored out of their minds, the exhibits are basic cages, not a lot of variety of animals, and you cant even see a lot of the animals 90% of the time because they're hiding from the heat, or the animal died and they never replaced it. If you want an AMAZING zoo experience and u happen to be in Toronto, Canada: check out the Toronto zoo!!! if you consider the LA Zoo a zoo, Toronto zoo will blow ur mind.
Could have spent the whole day there. The place was huge and they had a wide variety of animals that even when resting you can see
The zoo has great food and the small park is fun you can even feed giraffes!! The anumals are cute and i think you should go to the back so the animals arent lonely i recommend it
It was nice, but a few of the exhibits were empty, and many of the animals were sleeping due to the heat. Best bet is to go later in the afternoon when it's cooler
Nice zoo for its size can be covered in half a day or less.
We had such an amazing time at the LA Zoo! They take such great care of their animals! The Angela Collier Bird show is a must see, and the trainer talks going on in the zoo at different times throughout the day are very interesting and a learning experience for young and old. Staff is friendly and will make you feel welcome and appreciated. Restaurant-wise there is differently themed restaurants throughout the park, so there's something for everyone. Great, great place. Keep it up, LA Zoo!
We bought the family pack for about $160, 3 adults and I dont remember how many children. So worth it, you get 2 free guest passes and free rides on the train. Anyhow this is a great place to come, I love the zoo.
We came for the Christmas lights event and we had a really good time. We found Groupon tickets so we got in for a good price. You could only access a few areas of the zoo at night so don't expect to see many animals. It was pretty chilly, so we warmed up in the reptile house. We loved the water/lights show and the lighted tunnel at the end was fun.
Clean, well kept. My granddaughter Loves going to the zoo.
The zoo was great.. Beware of bees.. Two of my sister's got stung.. But the zoo was helpful and provided numbing sticks and first aid.. The place is very wheelchair friendly.. And there are lots of places to sit and have a picnic.
The La Zoo was an amazing experience that I encountered. It was incredible to see so many animals there. It was unbelievable to have seen creatures that I once thought that I would never see. Furthermore, I truly recommend the La Zoo to any tourist or family that plans to have an incredible day.
Had a great time with my family can't wait to go back to la zoo at night
Perfect place for the family,
Love the free cattle popcorn taste
Nice place to spend the day and help animals and exercise
very interesting especially if you read the explanation on the fence for each animal :) many exotic plants, but it's better to plan a rest on weekdays
It's a family environment.kids and adults will love it. It has restaurants restrooms and you will take a nice walk around exploring animals habitat and where and how the are.. good staff close all animals one hour before closing the zoo of parking lot and quick highway exit.. I recommend to everyone no matter the age
Huge selection of animals and they are very lively too. Wish there are some free rides though.
Had a amazing time. The experience here is actually wonderful.
Very nice the environment, apart from looking at the animals very cool the area
Nice Managment good ticket prices beutifull and clean park to visit but some wild animals there are more polite than some zoo keepers, they should learn more from animals and be a more polite with visitors especially with a kids,
Went to the Roaring Nights event and I was really surprised how fun it was, saw many of the animals and the good music and food/drinks made it awesome!
It's a very nice zoo.
I think it's the best place to bring children up to elementary school who like animals. It's a public facility, so it's not as business as the zoo in San Diego.
The entrance fee is reasonable, and I personally prefer this zoo.
You can take a closer look at the animals and walk around. I think that the atmosphere of walking in the woods and seeing animals according to the theme of the area is very similar to Fukuoka City Zoo, Hirakawa Zoo, and Asahiyama Zoo. However, the scale is different. We recommend that you take plenty of time for half a day and go slowly. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
(Coupons will make it a little cheaper)
It is recommended to go at 10 o'clock because the parking lot is vacant.
Parking is free.
The reptile house was great. Wish we had more time to explore. Time flies when you're having fun
The zoo has changed so much since I had last been there. It's a good change, though. I took my sister here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. As long as you can get past the expensive food, you'll have a blast!
Nice place to hang out for a few hours. Although like always animals are sleeping or hiding but its still a good experience. Plus u can bring in your snacks and they cell beer.
I remember it being so hot when I was little but they've added a lot of trees so it's very nice to stroll around. Great exhibits, kids love it & they serve beer as well as the best veggie burgers around.
We love going ..but the only thing I noticed and it should be cleaner for the animals..make it more home like for them .. that is why we are investing when we go .. hoping the money that is the customers pay can be used for the care for the place these poor animals live ..
Not impressed with the enclosures. The animals just looked sad and bored.
It's a zoo and not a wild animal park, but you can see the animals are content. The chimpanzee exhibit is our favorite. Feeding is at 12:30p and then they head to the penthouse right after.
Had an amazing day with my son we had a field trip for his school saw a lot of animals
You can see the new animals.it's a great way to walk and exercise while learning
LA Zoo lights great place for the family for a night adventure.
The picture featured for this place is the more modern L.A. Zoo. The old zoo looks nothing like the feature picture. A popular photo destination, I found the old zoo a little creepy. It is littered with graffiti and is unsafe after dark.
Aside from the graffiti, it is interesting to see the original caves animals used to live in. I am glad that the old zoo exists because it is an important piece of history on the treatment of animals.
Go on a guided tour the information is awesome I learned about the Australia animals and saw a baby Joey
A lot of walking but you're so close to the animals
Our little one loved the place. The animals seemed well taken care of and the zoo was clean. The staff were friendly and professional. We were able to see most of the animals in action. They also have shows with variety of animals, check the schedule so you can plan accordingly. The layout is a little awkward with steep climbs so read the map carefully, else you will end up going in circles, climbing up and down. Heard the weekend is extremely crowded so if you can, plan to visit during the weekday.
$21 admission, spend 3hrs with old fashioned exhibitions. I would rather paid double $ to visit SD Zoo instead.
Decent place but I think it could be a little more lively and I felt the price was a little high because they seem to nickel and dime me once you get inside the park.
So many beautiful and inteeresting animals.. I love and hate Zoos. Love the learning and the life experience for the children, but hate to see anything in a cage. Its not right, and that animal has to mentally and physically pay the price for that... but like I said it is sure something special to show these living breathing animals in their somewhat natural type habitats to your children and see them so excited to learn about them.
Very large venomous snake collection. Giraffes are FANTASTIC and the Flamingos smell really bad. Beware.
Great fun for all ages. Wide variety of animals spread throughout the park. They serve beer for the parents. Lol. Got to love LA.
They didn't have enough animals, alone of the attractions were closed and the food is overprised
Fabulous Day: Rode the tram then walked the entire park with my precious family: Daughter,Son-in-law & Grandson. Wonderful animal viewings, birds & all. Will definitely return!
We love going to the Zoo on weekdays, weekend is unbelievably crowded.
Not every area was open, but still had a great time!
Love all the animals the workers are friendly and lines move fast. Good fun for the kids and a workout for the parents
I really did enjoy the Los Angeles Zoo. I try to make it a point to visit every Zoo Everywhere I Go. Because I think that it is a great thing to support your local zoos that take care of animals that someday could be no longer more walking the Earth.
I just feel that everyone should always visit a zoo all the money in the proceeds go to taking care of the animals and it's a great way to see animals that you never get to see up close unless sure in a control environment
These animals are noo fun.. they hid from the people..
Such a relaxing place. The food is great. The refillable cups are such a good deal. The bathrooms are always clean. The tram is a senior delight smelling all the botanicals. Love the zoo.
