Free parking.
You can bring in your own food and drink.
Being a stroller of you have little ones.
Roaring nights at the zoo is the best. No kids, and you can drink. Food trucks, silent disco and the park all to yourself.
The last time I was there was almost 30 years ago. It was very nice. I was on a field trip with the school I work at.
No vegan options at the resturaunts. Very disappointing at a zoo. Other then that it was cool for my grand kids. I wont be going back.... and I happily admit that
Zoo Lights. Loved seeing this event. The light tunnels were beautiful.
Had a great day here with my grandson! He loved it!
Wow. This place did not kill my wallet! Cool. Yes there is free parking and its close. Just ask if you can't find it.
It was great an awesome experience my kids loved it they love the fact that they could feed the giraffe but it does cost $5 per person but really you're willing to spend a little money to make your kids happy why not also they have all kinds of animals and events going on it just depends on which Days you go oh plus its like $21 per adult and $16per kid 2 years or older
Super fun evening with spectacular views. I was skeptical, especially given the long drive for me but ended up enjoying the beautiful gardens and light displays.
For 5 dollars the keepers let you feed baby giraffes! !
Not too big but still entertaining. LA nights at the zoo isnt all that great.
Enjoyed our time there, make sure you have a reservation and line up a bit early. Some areas are closed but still a lot to see.
Landscaping looked horrible including the parking lot. I haven't been there in years and I have to say it was very disappointed to see the decline of the zoo conditions.
Fun time! On Labor Day, there were more people than animals. Some exhibits were empty.
This is still a must do for adults and kids of all ages. Been coming here for year's and even though it hasn't changed much, it is still something very nice to do with the kids.
It is a good place to take the family and observe the different species of animals and enjoy the tranquility of the place
Parking was easy, getting in was easy (Groupon deal/cheap), the layout of the park is great. My boys had a blast. Food not so great, I would pack a lunch next time.
Expected too see more... not as fun as I imagined...
Great exhibits bring your kids . The food here is actual not bad either. Could eat the candied almonds for days!
I work there (Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens)
Could be better but it's great for the kids to learn some facts about animals. I remember coming here when I was in first grade. It was awsome.
Someone once told me it's all happening at the zoo. I do believe it. I do believe it's true. We love the L.A. Zoo!
Fun for all ages, the la zoo has something for everyone. Lots of animals from lions to tons of snakes in the lair. Food is good and you will do so much walking so make sure you bring your water bottles. They also have a dinosaur section, it will be there till October.
The last time I was at the LA Zoo was probably when I was in a stroller or in a classroom field trip! The day I went was the worst day to go! It was 90 degrees in the valley with tons of families and crying babies. The highlight was seeing Elmo and Cookie Monster! I feel bad for most of the animals because they are either bored or sleeping. The most favorite animals was the koalas and giraffes. Parking is $5. There's a pinic area to hang out for rest time and food you can bring in a cooler. If you have kids, I recommend the yearly pass, it's a deal to show and remind your kids the zoo. Overall, I would go back just to hang out with the kids but not a regular thing.
Family fun for everyone. Plus the fixed the tram system so you can purchase a ticket from ANY STOP! Very nice improvement... They are also adding lots of updates to the zoo which is nice the park nearly completed and has been turned into an awesome little picnic area if the food at the food court isn't your speed
It was hot when we went but it was alot of fun! You can tell the animals are well taken care of.
Came when i was six years old and got to take my 13 year old daughter and my 8 year old son.
Poor showing of animals. Not convenient layout. Hard to find your way around.
I only ask them to feed them ... because the lions are very thin ... and they also need more space ... ... it is not fair to have them do ... people pay ... for Seeing them and all the money they make ... is for their animal food ... and it's not fair that the lions are in those conditions ... that's my point ... of view ... ....
Pretty awesome place, great opportunities to get pics and turn them into memes.
Not that crowded when we went. I remember coming here when i was a kid, and happy i can bring mine now.
For a walk with a child for an hour or two, the most
Weather was great for a Sunday outing with the family. Animals were out and some what active.
Love the zoo but it needs a major face lift and the animal enclosure needs to be much larger.
A nice, sizable Zoo. The animals seem happy and well taken care of. It is large. So either expect to walk a lot or pay for a shuttle.
It is a beautiful place to bring your children or grandchildren.
I loved it... just come to the zoo... bring the little ones...it's memorable... wow...
It's beautiful walking all around the zoo, really interesting the number of animals they have.
Haven't been inside in a while. Just glad to hear they are taking some good precautions to keep us humans and the animals safe...
It was just fine, not great, lots of areas close.
We had a wonderful visit. So well organized and great exhibits.
Very entertaining! Spent whole day with kids from 11am to 5pm and saw all exhibits. Awesome zoo.
A really nice zoo! I've been here once or twice as a young child, and more recently when I was a high school senior. I went with my friend, who was volunteering there at the time, and I enjoyed it! They have a bird show I loved, you gotta see it if you can. I got to feed a giraffe too! The animals looked well taken care of and healthy.
I'll definitely be coming back here sometime!
Great place to take the family. The elephant demo was awesome. They do need more signage around the park. They have a lot of passages that split off and it s easy to take a wrong turn.
Great selection of Animals. So much to see. 21$ per person
I loved this zoo!!! Definitely coming back but will be bringing my kids this time! Haha. We totally got lost inside but it was fun times lol.
The animals all seemed very happy and healthy. It was chilly, and their heat lamps were on, which made them very easy to find!
Good price, beautiful scenery! I suggest taking a planned path around the park. When we went we started on the left and circled the outside of the zoo. After completing that, we dove in to the inner parts. There is so many hidden gems throughout the zoo it's worth exploring every inch. The beautiful trees and plants make an almost enchanted experience too.
No animals and its just tp worth the wakimg to get tobsee tje amimasl they have
