This place is everything you want. They have great staff, amenities, smores and a ski check at the slope but it's honestly basically ski in and ski out. Place felt clean both times I've stayed here to ski. Not to mention it's one of the most affordable places to stay in Vail. Elway's was top notch and highly recommended restaurant you can just go to without ever getting all your winter gear on. Will return for a third time.

The two stars I'm withholding is because there wasn't a fridge in the room ( maybe in the mountains it's considered an oxymorom?) and the air conditioner that was in the room was a free standing machine that had a tube thing going out the window. The window did not close and the hotel's solution for this was to cover it with a piece of cardboard. I was excited about the robe they had in the closet but it was itchy and not comfortable. Other than that, the staff was professional and exceptional. Room service was good and the location in Vail Village is great.

We asked for a late checkout, normally 11am but they have us until noon. Then the maid service walked in on us twice without knocking before 11:30 am, once while I was half dressed standing in the bathroom by the front door! There is mandatory valet which is fine but when I booked they said $20, at checkout it was $25. We had a studio suite with the most uncomfortable fold-down Murphy bed! All for over $350/night plus a $30 service fee. The location was convenient for night life in Vail Village.

The staff is exceptional. Day or night they were always bright, cherry, and friendly. They are also extremely helpful and accommodating. This includes the wait staff at both the attached restaurants (Cucina and Elway's). Everyone was helpful.

This is an older hotel. I think it was the first one ever in Vail. They have done a good job of keeping it updated. It is central to the surrounding village and it's a beautiful beautiful place to stay. Because of age, the regular rooms do feel small and crowded. I saw the bigger deluxe rooms and those are much more spacious.

As a heads up, there is a $35/night mandatory valet charge. The taxes and fees are high, but what do you expect. This is a luxury resort village. If you can afford it, I do recommend the Lodge. Even at the high pricing they are likely the best value in town and the staff will make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly recommend.

I had an idea in my mind if what Vail was, and unfortunately it didn't live up to it. It was just alright. I was expecting something on par with the Stein Erickson Lodge in Deer Valley, but it felt like the rooms were individually owned and we're a little bit if a let down. I'm glad I went though.

Can t say enough good things about this place. From the moment you walk in, you re greeted with helpful friendly staff. The men that handle your vehicles are friendly and fast. The ladies at the front desk go above and beyond to make sure you re comfortable and satisfied with your reservation. Both Brittany and Whitney were very helpful and went the extra mile with our room, which was great! The place is well kept and clean. Joanne works very hard making sure that all of your dining needs are met. The food is excellent as well. Can only say I ll be back for sure and I highly recommend!!!

The restaurant was beautiful and the food was amazing. Definitely get the lamb chop fondue if you go. The bathrooms are a little far from the restaurant (down several flights of stairs because it is in the hotel) but the steak and lobster with creamed spinach make up for that minor inconvenience

Nothing fancy considering its location. Price (though expected) is quite a bit steep for what you get. Stayed in early October and the room temperature was uncontrollably warm, despite the roll-in AC system duct taped to the window.

Pool was fun and location is prime.

Best location possible in Vail. Great restaurants and shopping. When it comes to the unique skiing experience of Vail Colorado this location in Vail village beats them all.it is a historic building as it is one of the originals and has fantastic views of the slopes in the village. There are shops and restaurants right outside the front door as well as a restaurant within the building.

Our experience here might have been different because it was before the season started and during covid, but it just seemed that you pay for way more than you get!

The room was clean and tidy, it just looks like it could use some updating. The sink was missing the nozzle in the end so the water just came pouring out even when turned on the slightest bit!! Also, the toilet hardly flushed.

The room next to us was empty and at 7am an extremely loud alarm went off. I had to call down The front desk to have someone turn off the alarm. I was sure hoping to sleep in!!

When we arrived, they also whisked our car away to be valet parked and charged us $35 for the night! We found out the next day that we could park in the public lot for free so we did that the next day. I felt a little duped that the front desk staff didn t offer that information to us!

The icing on the cake was when we checked out there was another $150 of resort fees!!! We felt nickeled and dimed for everything there and will not be returning!!

The location, staff, and rooms at The Lodge were all phenomenal! The hotel is steps away from the slopes and offers a valet service for your gear. In the morning, we walked 1 minute to the gondola where our snowboards were ready and waiting for us. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating--we had a slight issue with our room, and they went above and beyond to resolve it for us. The rooms were clean, cozy, well-equipped, and spacious. The hotel is also taking every precaution amid COVID-19. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. Will definitely stay here again!

The place is immaculate and the service is fantastic I have friends staying there and they're absolutely loving it and so close to the slopes we're having dinner there tomorrow night

So far we've been waiting 4 hours to check in. I know they say check in isn't guaranteed until 4PM. But really, you don't have any rooms ready yet? I even called yesterday to let them know our ETA and ask for an early check in. There is zero urgency from staff and we just keep getting the same run around. Its definitely not starting off to be anywhere near acceptable, let alone good.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Lodge. It was an absolutely magical night! Nicole, our planner at the lodge, was absolutely amazing. The food and service was perfect. The rooms and pool were the best. We highly recommend couples to get married there and spend time there...it was perfect!

While my husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Lodge at Vail because of the perks of an upscale ski resort, it ended on a terrible note.

On Sunday, February 25th, we left all of our luggage at the front desk from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm while we were skiing. I had placed my jewelry bag inside my makeup bag, inside my backpack, and unfortunately, IT WAS STOLEN FROM MY BAG WHILE IT WAS BEING KEPT IN STORAGE. My wedding band and engagement ring were in there along with a couple of other valuable pieces. We have done thorough searches of our bags, and I am 100% confident that it was stolen during this time frame while in the possession of The Lodge.

The security manager did take steps to do an investigation including reviewing camera footage, but there is no camera facing where the bags are held. Employees were interviewed during the week, but nothing was found. The investigation ended with The Lodge telling me that there was nothing they could do further outside of me filing a police report, which I did. As you can imagine, disappointed is an understatement.

I am posting to warn future guests that because the person who took my jewelry has not been identified, I have to assume this employee is still working at The Lodge at Vail and has access to stored luggage and possibly rooms for cleaning. PLEASE BE AWARE.

We will not be staying here again because the experience was entirely overshadowed by this. At such a highly rated hotel, I would expect that all of my belongings would be safe and secure and that this should not have been an issue.

The Lodge at Vail is a great place to go to stay the night. Everything is very clean and the rooms are a nice size. It also has some historical value as one of the hot places to be when Vail was first created. They give you free bottles of water to drink every day, which is good because the high altitude causes rapid dehydration. The workout room has a nice variety of equipment as well. The outdoor pool is heated and can be swam in even in the winter months and there are two hot tubs also. The only negative about this hotel is that it is a little hard to navigate sometimes, but that seems to be the case throughout Vail Village.

The best place to stay in. The room is well equipped, neat and comfortable. We booked in the last minute for 5 families due to blizzard where we stuck in vail due to closure of i70. The receptionist, and the employees were courteous enough to give all the basic things we needed. They were so friendly. It has outdoor hot tubs which is amazing. The view from the balcony is so good. Had a pleasant stay here.
