The AC was not working in the Lodge and Spa area s...

The AC was not working in the Lodge and Spa area so we were offered a cottage. The cottage was a room and bathroom attached to a larger room/living area in the same cottage. Our room was separated only by a locked door. The walls were paper thin. We could hear everything in the attached room, as I am sure they could hear our conversations as well. It was difficult to work from the room without privacy. Housekeeping came by once. They only made one bed and it looked sloppy. They did not take out the trash in the tiny overflowing can. They did not remove dirty towels or add clean ones. They hung a clean towel from under the sink on the bar, and folded a used towel (to look like a clean one) and placed it on the bar as well. I didn't know it was used until after my shower and I had already dried off. Our sink did not have cold water, only hot. One tiny soap to use for the shower and sink. Since we were unable to stay in the Lodge, my husband had to drive to the conference held inithe Lodge to avoid arriving at his sessions sweaty from walking in the GA heat. We had one car, so I drove him the last morning so I could have access to the vehicle. When I got back to the cabin my key didn't work, so I had to go back to the front desk in the Lodge to have my key reset ( in my PJs). We were excited about the get away, but disappointed in the service and accomodations. Probably won't go back. Pine Mountain is a great town. We really enjoyed the local food off the property.

Although it appeared I was booking my reservations at the Lodge and Spa, when we got there, the front desk informed us that our room was actually a good ways away from there at a facility called Mountain Creek Inn, which is in no way as nice as the Lodge and Spa. Although I booked my reservations through Groupon, we met another couple who had booked theirs directly to the Lodge by phone and assumed that is where they would be staying. Upon getting there, they, also were sent to Mountain Creek Inn. They were very dissatisfied, as were we. It appears that there is some sort of scam involved here, and when I questioned a lady at the desk at the Lodge and Spa about it, she was very evasive and kept saying next time to specify we wanted a room actually in the Lodge and Spa. The front desk staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. (We had been there several times to ask for information during our stay at Mountain Creek Inn, because we dined at the Piedmont there which was excellent, by the way). They would sometimes ignore us when we walked up, although they weren t busy, just chatting with each other. I doubt that we will be returning after this negative experience.

The bed had fleas in it. Reported to desk clerk and manager Angela Goggett. No I m be cared that I had flea bites all over my legs. They claim they d get back with us and never did. For the price that was paid for the stay, someone should ve showed check concern.

The rooms were fair for the price. While I wasn't blown away by the deal or the food offered at the resort the atmosphere offered made the hotel memorable. The staff was friendly and views were relaxing. The pool unfortunately smelled like sulfur and on one of the 2 hot tubs was broken but the bathtub in the hotel room made up for that. Overall an experience that I would do again over a long weekend so that I would be able to explore the wildlife surrounding

I stay here a few times a year for work and I always love coming here. My room was sparkling clean when I arrived, the food has been amazing and I absolutely love the omelet station. I met Lois, who makes the omelets and they are delicious! I also learned she and a lot of other people that work here have worked here for over 40 years! The staff loves CG and it shows.

Exceeded my expectations from the personalized reservation specialist to the CID (consider it done) commitment. The grounds are immaculate and we found great things to do even on the day it thunderstormed.

It was so beautiful and relaxing!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I celebrated our 18th Anniversary here this weekend and we truly enjoyed our stay. I've visited a lot of places and there is usually complimentary coffee but not here. There's a fee for EVERYTHING, but it's still worth a visit. We plan to revisit soon!

wow ! I am shocked so many good reviews honestly. my aunt and I had a completely disappointing experience. To start with the spa/Jacuzzi/pool closed at dusk and she and I go to resorts specifically for those amenities. We are not big drinkers, secondly there is really only one place to eat in the resort with really high prices and very low quality food - watered down coffee, pancakes, and syrup to name a few. And, the free water I am afraid are being refilled. Twice I opened water bottles that the seals were broken !! Yikes. The wait staff clearly hates their jobs, they were very rude. Lastly, $75.00 cash was stolen out of my wallet. This really ruined the rest of the experience as we felt they must have been going through our belongings. I would not even recommend this place to anyone and LOCK UP YOUR MONEY !!!

We stay here about once a year while attending a special event at Callaway. The service is usually very good and the rooms are comfortable. This is the only Callaway-owned property that we like as the others are pretty run down. You'll pay for the privilege of staying here, though

Do not visit on a holiday weekend! My family visiting on the July 4th weekend where they were very short staffed. Even when you book at the lodge they will try to place you at the Inn which is not at the lodge and Spa. I reserved rooms well in advance and they wanted to move us to another one of their properties. The restaurant on site was extremely slow and took out party well over 30 minutes to order drinks and another 1.5 hours to get food ordered. Very disappointed with the service and management.<br/>In response to the manager. This is also inaccurate. Not sure what reservation you are referring to as my reservation was NOT on 6/27. This was this 4th of July holiday and I DID NOT have a reservation at the INN where you tried to move our reservation. This response is even more clear that your management and customer service is very poor!!

The gardens were beautiful. The lodge accommodations were lackiing considering the cost. Upon arrival we were told housekeeping was every other day. Why not tell you that when we made the reservation? In two days our bed has not been made, no fresh towels and the room has not been vacuumed. Our request for a second chair for the balcony has not been addressed.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The seafood buffet was very nice, the desserts were outstanding! We took a walk to the lake and just enjoyed a nice, quiet evening after eating all that seafood. I recommend CG to anyone looking for a nice respite from a tough day in the office!

Online reservation system was broken, had to book over the phone and instead of booking the lodge for me they booked the inn. Luckily they had a room available at the lodge for the fantasy in lights.

We stayed at the cottages for a wedding that was held at the chapel and the reception dinner at the lodge. Loved everything about the complex! Food was excellent at the lodge. Cottages had all the comforts of home! Can't wait to go again. Maybe a family reunion.

This was a very nice place to stay, very nice rooms great customer service and great amenities and things to do. Only reasons I docked a star were that the spa was left unattended while everyone at the front desk seemed like it was still open and the beds were as if you were sleeping on down topped stone slabs.

This place is beautiful! Great views but you pay for it! We've been twice and is always been very clean. Love it. My only complaint is the parking. Good Lord it is terrible at the lodge and Spa for the place to be so luxurious. We drive a minivan and we were so cramped. The only time we had space was when we parked at the end of the row next to the trees. Even then we had to drive onto the grass. I thought it was just us but then we looked around and saw a much smaller cars had the same problem.
