Tacos, queso, chips and margs are amazing! Customer service was lacking on this visit. Popped in for a quick lunch on my own and after ordering, decided to sit at the bar so I wouldn t take up a table for a larger group. After sitting down, the bartender was extremely rude and unwelcoming. She reprimanded me for ordering at the front instead of at the bar since it s a full service bar. After being completely caught off guard at the comments and apologizing, she didn t look at me or acknowledge me.

Food was ok but definitely not what I expected. I had the fried chicken tacos and was surprised by the small quantity you got for the price which is pretty high. Especially for a lunch item. As for the quality it was good tasting and arrived hot. I may return but only if there is nothing else to eat in the area.

Great options for tacos with normally fast service, but our waitress forgot our food and pretended she didn't. Some of the tacos could have a little more flavor. The fish and Korean tacos were really good!

One of my family's favorite places to go eat. This great small restaurant only has one negative, it stays busy so parking is minimal. The food is beyond amazing. For the Gluten-Free need, they have great options. I personally could eat a half dozen of the fried chicken tacos and my wife prefers the korean bbq.

Their Mexican rice had a LOT of cinnamon in it. Both my vegetables in my chicken fajita quesadilla and my guests protein in her steak taco were burned. Not charred, BURNED. The highlight was definitely their salsa!

Always great food, always nice ladies taking orders, and food is consistently good. Great staff, great cooks, great atmosphere, shall I go on...? Ok, I will: My fiance loves the Mexican corn on the cob along with any taco (Southern Chicken Taco is always 1 of 2 though, they are quite the thrill for the ol' taste buds), and I myself prefer a Local BBQ Taco and the Jalapeno Cole Slaw that should have it's own restaurant. If you're in Lexington, Eat Local. Local Taco. See what I did there? Boom.

The food was overall pretty decent. The bar tender was really rude though she also kept staring as she was working. I'm not sure what the problem was when me and my friend were visiting before she had to move.

Almost everything you order here will taste great. Service is really speedy. About the only thing that takes time is waiting to have your order taken. I had the steak, southern fried, buffalo, and tequila lime tacos 4 for $11, great deal for great tasting tacos. I definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

The wait was a bit long, but worth it! I had a fish taco and a vegetarian taco, and both were delicious. I would recommend getting 3 tacos if you are especially hungry since they are on the smaller side.

Comfy

Service is really bad. The guy who took my order at the register just looked at me as I walked up. So I waited then I said "Hello". He said, "Hello", in a way as if I had inconvenienced him somehow. I waited again for him to ask what I wanted to order, he just stared at me. So I stared back.
I eventually ordered, didn't repeat the order back, didn't say anything except to tell me which copy of the receipt was mine.
So unacceptable. Food is okay, definitely not worth going back for...especially with such rude customer service.

Loved this place! Some of the best queso we have had in a long time. Lost of fresh options and drinks.

Highly recommend if you are in the downtown Lexington area.

Good luck with parking, add some time into your schedule to find a spot.

I have heard lots of good things about this place. Finally decided to give it a try. Super busy but that's how you know it's good. You walk in, order (like a fast food restaurant) , then get seated , and they serve you the food. I had the buffalo chicken taco and it was really good! The people were really nice and friendly.

I'm from Chicago and was visiting Lexington for business. I spent most of my free time researching local eateries, dead set on abounding any chains. The Local Taco came highly-rated across most routine review systems. I'm no food snob, but perhaps my taco standards are calibrated slightly too high. While the selections were. creative, the cane through at about 50% on the tasty hit rate. The spicy shrimp and southern fried chicken tacos were enjoyable. However the steak and tequila lime were both lacking in flavor. I had to douse them in hot sauce to Mae them palatable. Margaritas were just ok as well. They had an odd sweet character to them. And after four, I'd expect to have felt a bit more heady than noted. The ambiance and area is appealing. The food, just average.

Terrific choice of tacos, freshly made, not expensive either. The restaurant is right next to the UK campus, so it is always busy - getting a table is sometimes a chore, but the food is great! They need to open a second store!

Brisket, Korean BBQ, Chicken-lime tacos were good. The slaw on the pork taco had way too much pepper in it. Queso Blanco was the best of the three sides. Red salsa was a red salsa. I prefer red onions in guacamole, LT used white onions so it wasn't my favorite Guac but it was ok.

The food is delicious. Verh high quality. A couple of times each year we drive here 6 hours just to visit. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their tacos! The guac is delicious also. Plenty of parking. Prices here are very fair. Highly recommend!

Great Taco joint near campus, crowded over lunch and busy times. I wish their tacos shells where a tad larger, but that's being nit picky. Gave it 4 stars because it doesn't match up to the tacos you'd find in per say, Austin. Every rating has to have a scale.

The food was pretty good albeit a little on the expensive side of things. On the fair side of seating arrangements, when we visited the place was pretty busy and we got there just in time as a wave of people came in before us. I do recommend the chips and queso. The shrimp tacos are also really good.

The variety of slow cooked proteins, the portions, and the cost make this place. The location, the people, and friendly service will bring you back. A great little taco hole in the heart of Lexington. My favorite was the Korean BBQ tacos.

I got two tacos. The bbq but it was dry. I don't believe there was any bbq sauce or anything put on the meat. The second taco, bbq chicken, was great. They don't have the best selection of sides, I got chips and salsa. The chips were pretty good. My son got chicken tenders but they didn't offer fries. He could get jalopeno cole slaw (he's four), a few other sides that most small children won't touch, or chips and salsa. He got chips and salsa. Parking is horrible. They have eight parking spots in the back and I can only assume the staff use those. There's no parking on the road.

I'm a regular here and there is NOT one thing bad to eat or drink here. If you visit Lexington you must come here. And if you live here in Lexington, you need to be here more. Everything is simply excellent!

The food has good portions and high quality, but the brunch menu is lacking in customizability and vegetarian options. It's also a bit expensive for a student budget, but it's a great occasional treat--especially with their $1 mimosas on the weekends!
