service for dinner is awful, you might want to pick up a snack before coming here. service is slow

Good food, however today, not enough staff at lunch.

Visited on Sun Mar 18 for brunch, Drink orders took way too long to arrive. How long does it take to make Mimosas? Maybe 7-8 tables were taken. We placed our order. Then we noticed a server folding the silverware in napkins, and she is touching the tongs of the forks before wrap in cloth napkin. Ewww gross! Otherwise the deserts good.
Won't be back.

The food is constantly good. I love the fish and chips! They also her a really good selection of beers and plenty of TVs in the bar.

Edit: Somehow my phone was on this review and had dropped the star rating below 5 stars but it was never intended to be as such.

This place is always great for a quick lunch. I really wish I had more time to spend here but I work nearby and have to be quick.

My recommendation is the Tour of Britain if it's your first time. You won't be able to finish it, but it gives you a great overview of the kind of specialty dishes they offer.

I believe they have a full bar that I never get to take advantage of because I can only make it here in the middle of a work day. They've also got steel darts, and I believe a beanbag toss game outside for the kids.

Bottom line, whether you're just out shopping, catching a movie nextdoor, or about to get a massage at the spa nextdoor, this is the best place to eat in the Rim hands down.

My experience there has always been, amazing really. The staff and managment are very friendly and caring, customer service first. Their burgers are some of the best I've ever had, and I tried their rueben burger - lightly topped with sauce and the corned beef I'm actually struggling for words for how good it was. The variety of food, the variety of drink something for everyone. If it is your first time try the tour of england, a nice variety, of banger sausage, fish and chips, shepards pie. Or; one can make their own variety plate, some wings, bubble and squeek, fried battered mushrooms. My favorite are the two slider appitizer, with chips onion petals and the jameson jalapeno rance.

Bad service. It pass 15 minutes no one appear to attend us.

1/17 update:Fantastic dinner. Pineapple upside down cake drink . Michelle was a great server,very friendly and attentive.

Great food and lots of TV's to watch anything sport.

Outstanding salad. The fish and chips also looked very appealing. We will be back for them. Good service. Attended Florida Gators' watch parties during the past football season. Great burgers and fish and chips!

I like Lion & Rose a lot, this location doesn't really have the tavern feel though, more like satellite location that doesn't remember its identity. Just telling it as it is.

Despite that, the food that was brought out was especially good, and the management there is very friendly and responsive after making a couple of mistakes on our order. Definitely appreciated that. Last I went, I tried their burgers for the first time, tried the Jameson Bacon-Cheddar, it was far better than what I expected. It was delicious and went well with their mac and cheese.

First and last time we will be visiting. From the beginning it took a while to be greeted, then we had to ask for the coffees multiple times, which definitely tasted bitter. Milk which normally comes at no additional cost for coffee was 3.50, I have never seen that before. We never received our appetizer until the actual meals came, we had to tell them we didn't want our appetizer, to return it. (Which was deviled eggs). The entire experience was a complete mess and we regret spending $50 to have such a bad experience.

Menu's doesn't have very much of a variety. But it was good.

Decent place but the waitresses are extremely overweight wearing skirts that don t fit. Really a lot embarrassing and one was, quite frankly, discussing.

Bangers & Mash! Or maybe Bubbles & Squeak or a great Shepherd's Pie. This is a great place to have a taste of England. Plus, Rugby on TV! What else could you ask for?

Nice venue with fun vibe. Lots of people meet up there for various activities... poker, darts, dominoes, even cornhole. Reasonable drinks. Good food. Friendly staff. The only place in the area open until 2am even during the week, so has a late night crowd.

This place is pathetic. We went there to eat on a Monday. The place was dead. There was my wife, son, and, myself. The waitress took our drink orders and, then came back and, took our food orders. This is when someone should have said hey, we are all out of bangers and, mash. But, a half hour later the waitress comes and, informs me that they, didn't have any bangers or mash. This is what I, ordered for my meal. She then asked if I would like to replace it with something else. I placed another order for a cheeseburger. She leaves with my order and, returns with my wife's and, son's food. My son's food order mixed up also. We came together as a, family to eat together as a, family. We asked to speak to the manager. She could not understand why we were upset. The manager did come back a bit later to let me know that, they had bangers and, mash now. She then asked if I wanted to take the meal home with me. No thank you. Why didn't anyone say anything when I, first ordered my meal? I imagine the owner will say something like I'm sorry for your bad experience hopefully you'll give us another shot. Not a chance, like I said, this place is pathetic a joke. This establishment will not survive in the restaurant business with service like this.

My wife and I had the traditional british breakfast with tea. What a surprise to find that it was delicious! The brand of tea served here is all we drink now! (First time American tourist)

Good service, decent food, great beer selection. Had Shepherd's pie and macaroni and cheese...thought I would be taking some home but could not stop eating! Will definitely be back.

Great spot! Love the food and all the games on the TVs. Cool place to hang out with friends and family. Will always recommend this spot to any one looking for a great time.

The bartender was very polite and the buffalo wings were great.

My to go to Pub in San Antonio. Good selection of beer and IPA. Great food and amazing service.

Food CAN be better but still good.
Some bartender, curly hair, Anglo, tattoos, thinks she can assume and refuse d service and be rude, to people she dont like. I had 2. TWO beers and I get cut off on her assumptions? I am not slurring, staggering or even drunk... I'm sorry she hasn't had a good day but that is no way to keep a customers happy.

This is a BRITISH pub, and I felt like I was in the UK as soon as I sat down. The food is what you'd expect in the UK. (UK foods tend to be bland and filling). The atmosphere is relaxed - people don't rush meals in the UK, and service in this pub reflects the slower pace. If you are looking for a "quick" lunch, they do have a lunch menu for the locals to get you in/out more quickly. Plan on a 60-minute lunch, relax, and enjoy the downtime!

Good food and beer. Service is a bit slow for how little of customers were in here. NOT the servers fault so don't forget to tip!

Food is not good, service is so-so, it was empty while all the other restaurants around were packed.... The Manager was nice and tried to make things better.

Great British ambiance and nice servers who were attentive. Place was a nice respite from the cold night. Food was good, the Mac and cheese was great. There was a lot to do here, from sitting by the fireplace or playing trivia and enjoying a drink. Nice area in The Rim to enjoy.

We order drinks then the waiting game was on. We was in the bar area they were only two tables at the bar area with customers the bartender was our server after a very long wait around 20 minutes my beer was gone my son's beer was gone still no return from the bartender to see if we needed anything so I went up to the manager and ask to get my tabs and we can pay and leave and go somewhere else very poor service no apologies sorry no nothing I feel like we shouldn't even had to pay for our drinks

To begin, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always good. The beer selection is great too. The atmosphere is one of the best parts. The biggest flaw they have and have always had is their service. It's so hit and miss. Especially when ordering drinks when sitting at a table. However, I still look past all of that because everything else I mentioned thats good is consistently good. To end, if there's one thing you must try here, it's the scotch eggs. And if you drink beer, order a blacksmith.

I really wanted to go because they had an app for chips with a side of curry sauce. It was good but disappointed that it wasn't the traditional chip shop curry. We also got fish and chips and bangers and mash with bubble and squeak. Bubble and squeak was wonderful. I like when it has leaks in it, but still very nice. And the fish was so good and piping hot! Must note the coleslaw came with the fish I gave it to my husband. Also came for the sticky toffee puddin. That just hit the spot I needed it to. Was fantastic.
Hopefully in the future they'll do a special for a Sunday roast or a traditional English breakfast. Would love to see those in the area.

Quiet, very relaxed, comfortable. Great food, good service. A good place to drink, eat, and have a conversation

First visit. Went to watch Colts v Chiefs playoff. Great venue for watching sports and room design keeps it from being too loud. Very good food, reasonable prices. Super friendly waitstaff and attentive service. Also super clean and well run. We will definitely return.

The bartender girl with long dark hair was horrible. She was extremely bitter & it was obvious she hated her job. She had a horrible attitude. Every time I asked her for a recommendation on a drink I could order for my friends, she was short and rude and very unhelpful. We had friends in from out of the country and I was so embarrassed at the poor customer service we received from this bartender. That will be the last time we will go to this bar. The management was very bad too. Not many people go to this bar anymore and now I know why. When you treat people badly, they don t come back.

Amanda hates her job and the food is overpriced crap.

I absolutely love this place but theres no parking at all. That's one of the only reasons they dont get more people coming to their restaurant. Absolutely no parking!!
