The rooms have a perfect view of the ocean. The Indoor and outdoor pools are a fun for the family. The halls and the elevators are stifling hot, but the rooms air conditioners practically blow snow. Nice clean room. Absolutely wonderful, friendly and kind staff! Definitely would recommend this to all I know. If you take your family there, I hope you have a wonderful time!

( I'm posting pictures from our room on the 10th floor)

Very clean and great customer service. Nice and spacious inside pool, lazy river and multiple hot tubs with access to the beach. Also has a decent size outdoor pool and a cross walk over to the parking garage. It was especially nice having so many different restaurants to choose from on site, especially during a hurricane evacuation!

My family and I stayed here in 2019 and it was a very clean place and extremely nice employees that would speak to you.
So we decided to book our 2020 vacation here and all I can say is we will never stay here again. The entire place reeked of weed. Never saw any housekeeping being done in the hallways. The day I left I saw a bed bug and mentioned it at check out only to have the front desk staff shurg it off as a water bug. The inside pool was freezing cold in facf the ocean was warmer .

Overall, if you re looking for a relatively cheap, close to the beach, family friendly resort this one is pretty good. Rooms were pretty clean, staff was nice and accommodating. However, during our stay the elevators were almost constantly packed or broken down which caused relatively long wait times for an elevator. After 3:00pm all room service was non existent to the point where my partner and I had to dry ourselves with wash cloths after calling for towels at 4:00pm (side note towels came at 9:00 am the next morning). Our do not disturb sign was stolen twice from our door which caused us to be woken multiple times by housekeeping knocking (not their fault but that was the fellow guests we had experienced). Walls of this hotel are pretty thin so you certainly hear quite a bit from outside your door and above you. For a young couple with no kids I m not sure if we would stay again but the amenities were certainly a plus.

Decent hotel, wasn't as lavish as made out to be . Pool area kind of suck, sign kind of makes u think there are actually 7 pools , but this also includes kitty pools , 3 hot tub, which u cant use all of them in the colder seasons

Passing through town both on a personal trip along...

Passing through town both on a personal trip along the coast and a scout trip for a potential beach property. I'm going to review this as a hotel guest and not from someone looking to buy property as I will not buy a unit here, due to circumstances outlined in this review. That said, we arrived at the Landmark about 3pm on a Sunday and the line to check in was about 20 minutes (yes, I confirmed this with my gopro that I left running on the car). Anyway, once checked in, we found the (free) parking garage and got a decent space. Crossing the sky-bridge into the resort we quickly realized this place was a maze. Following the signs around the labyrinth that is the Landmark, we found our room a few minutes later.

The room was an average sized room, with a small kitchenette -- remember, they sell these rooms as condos. The room was clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The only thing I can really complain about was my 'ocean view' room was more of a 'ocean and neighboring property view'.

The resort has numerous restaurants, the one we tried was good, if not a tad slow on service. On the ground floor, there is the water park. A few hot tubs, pools and a kids play area surrounded by a lazy river makes this area pretty cool -- except, there is NO security. Since I was swimming and require a key to enter my room, I put my stuff in a backpack and took it with me to the pool area. I put it down on a chair and got in the pool. Within 5 minutes my backpack was gone -- along with my wallet and gopro. Hotel security is handled by a 3rd party who basically took a report and went on their way. Management was most unhelpful and refused to even look at the TWO cameras they have on the property. At first, we were told that they weren't working, then they couldn't for privacy reasons...anyway, the Myrtle Beach Police arrived minutes later (they are awesome, by the way), looked at the footage and determined it was of such poor quality they couldn't see anything anyway. So what fun we had was negated by the theft of my bag.

The next morning, we checked out early and there was no mention of the theft or updates on anything by staff, who I suspect weren't even told there was a theft the night before.

The good news is that a few hours later, we got a call from the security company saying my bag was found, along with my wallet (with cards) and gopro still there. The only thing missing was $3 and my shirt.

So if you are a hawk about your security and keep everything attached, this place could be great. The rooms were comfortable and the beach access was great, but the lack of security and handling by staff really turned me off of this hotel.

Just got back from a stay here. Our room was beautiful, very clean, updated and even had a small kitchenette. The staff were all friendly. The outdoor pools on the ocean are beautiful. The indoor pools were clean and they also have a child s pool, splash park and putt putt fenced in away from the other pools so parents can sit back and relax when the little ones safely play. I would recommend to anyone.

My review is going to be long, but worth the read....

My review is going to be long, but worth the read.. if your anything like me you check reviews before you stay.
Well, this time I didnt. I booked through Expedia and never thought to look at the reviews because it was so highly rated on their site. I booked this resort back in Feb. $313 for 4 days 3 nights(definitely not bad!) And that included all fees and tax.
Anyway, fast forward and 3 weeks before our trip it occurs to me I haven't checked out the reviews like I usually do, so I come here to check. Not gonna lie, after I read some of these reviews I was horrified about what was to come and started 2nd guessing my booking(we brought our 3 month old along) due to the things people were saying. But that's where things took a turn.
Fast forward to 9/8.. check in day. Took the 8 hour drive from MD, and upon arrival the place looked great. Went to check in and the lady who checked us in was super nice. As a matter of fact she had called me the day prior to confirm they were open to due hurricane Dorian for the dates we were staying and upgraded our room from an interior view to ocean front view for free! Check in did take a little longer than expected but nothing that was too long.
The parking garage across the street is wonderful, especially because you can take the skywalk across to the hotel and avoid that heat!
Went to our room and it was great! Yes, it is a little dated, but you can tell they are slowly making new renovations changes in the room.. we had press on hard wood floor in the room and living room and nice tile in the kitchen. Cabinets were new, so was fridge. Stove was outdated but cant blame them considering the amount of rooms that they have!(15 floors) the view was to die for! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great. 2 ac units in the room was also a plus! One thing that was no where to be found which I noticed was mentioned alot was "bugs" more so "roaches". Witnessed none anywhere in the hotel at all.
Cynthia from the bar was great! We ate and had some drinks the first two nights we were there, make sure you go see her! I only had a grilled Cesar salad but the chicken is superb. Everything was as it should and you get a big portion for the price.
Now for the kind of things.
When we arrived no pools were open except for h2oasis just across the street by the parking garage, but that wasnt an issue because due to the hurricane and having just reopened we were understanding. We simply went to the beach for the afternoon. Day 2 all pools were open except the lazy river(didnt ask why but can only assume it was due to not being cleaned yet) but that was fine with us.
Our room was cleaned.. 98% of the way. A couple of our towels did have a strain of hair on them, and our tub wasnt thoroughly cleaned but that everything else was ship shape.
The only thing I found that I can agree with is the smell of the hallways. But there is a reason for that. The 4th floor especially has that mildew, musty, gym sock kind of smell. Not sure why that of all floors has the strongest but it does. All other floors(we stayed on the 7th) did have the same smell just way less noticable. The thing to take into consideration here is that this hotel is a U shape hotel and each floor is open.. yes open floor plan. So as you walk the span to your room you can look down and see the lazy river and the sky and other things. So please understand the smell comes from the carpet on the hallway walkways due to the fact that anytime it rains or any other kind of weather hits.. that carpet is going to soak it up and thus the smell forms. It's not due to the lack of cleaning and etc. Simply weather related and how the hotel was built. Not their fault.
The map, although my husband understood it, was a bit much to take it given how big this property is. We just ventured all over looking for short cuts and their are elevators everywhere!
We cant wait to come back next year for another anniversary! Thank you landmark!

Or stay June 2020 was wonderful. Hotel isn't a genuine 5 stars as some is a touch dated nothing was broken. Accommodations were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Kitchen was well stocked. Property was clean and tidy. No funky smells or big problems like SO many other hotels here. We only wish we could stay longer. Thanks landmark for a great trip.

I always enjoy my stay at this hotel. I have never had any trouble with staff or booking. It's an older hotel, it's not the Plaza. The only thing bad I have to say about it would be the warm hallways and that chlorine, musty smell in the elevators. But what more can you expect from a family oriented resort with so many pools and people going back and forth all day. They couldn't hire enough staff to keep ever inch of this hotel clean all day. I think ppl need to be a little more realistic in their expectations of hotels.

Older but well maintained resort. South Myrtle Beach is a relic these days, although retro 80s is somewhat a cool look these days. Garden City, a little farther south, has a better vibe. Also be aware that many of the rooms are actually owned by private individuals who rent them out through VRBO, AirBNB and even Travelocity. If you don't purchase through the actual resort, there are some areas that you won't be able to use, even if you are willing to pay extra.

My family stayed here for just one night after deciding on staying one more night at the beach and let me tell you, we will be coming back. for me that is saying a lot do the the fact the hotel we stayed in was the one I used for many years. We book the room same day the price was not bad and I was able to check-in 5hr erly. it was in a good area as well. Now I'm still in my 20's and I have a one year old and we both loved it and my wife really enjoyed her time form the pools to the restaurant it was great. Are room was nice and clean the bad was not bad a little hard though bathroom was a bathroom overall it was a really good place ... also they have like several hottubes really several.

Food was great. Service staff was good. And the rooms were good. Maybe it was the weather but the indoor pool was closed way too often for my 4 day stay. Overall they were great but the indoor pool disappoints, but you re on the beach so it s not that big of a deal. Very friendly for kids so remember that if you re older and not trying to be around them. Overall great experience though!!

I have vacationed many times at the Landmark and attended the convention of the Disabled American Veterans, but I must say that I was very disappointed with the bed in my room. It was very hard and my legs ached after sleeping on it. I thought it was just me, but the adult in the room had the same complaint.

My family and I stayed here over the weekend from 8/9/19-8/12/19. Its very deceiving. The pictures on the website and the lobby are nice. The room on the other hand doesn't look like the pictures. The housekeepers only came to drop off towels not clean the room. The breakfast buffet was nasty. The eggs were powdered and the meat was under cooked. There were no choices of optional meats just pork. The blankets were thin like a sheet. The carpet in the room looked dirty. It was just not a good hotel overall. The only thing that was nice was the Ocean view. Although I could have gotten that at any hotel on Ocean Blvd. It was too expensive for what we had. A so called suite consists of a pull out couch and 2 double beds for more than $1000.00 for 3 nights. They need some upgrades asap. An have the housekeepers CLEAN UP. An take some pointers from Hotel Blue or Captains Quarters and get an Omelette bar if they aren't going to have any other options besides pork. Will not stay here again.

Had several minor issues and finally went to management after finding bugs in our room (roaches). Spoke to Zach who apologized and promised to send me an email with discounts on a future stay and said he would refund part of my stay back to my credit card. Never heard from Zach again. Then posted a review and got the response below from "ownership " who said they would reach out to me. This was several weeks ago and still have not heard from anyone. Customer service/ satisfaction is apparently not a priority.

Arrived at resort and they told us our room wasn't ready but it would be shortly so we went riding around a lil bit ... 2 1/2 hrs later we came back and it they said it still wasn't ready! They then offered to put us up in another room exactly like what we paid for but on a different floor. Ended up it was not the same room we paid for and then when we told them about it they tried to make us out to be liars! Room had leftover pizza crust behind the bed floors still had sand all over them pools were closed and the ones that were open were so crowded you couldn't get in them. Big Jacuzzi outside along with big pool was closed down on our 2nd night there as well. Will definitely be the last time I ever stay at that place! Our vacation has been basically ruined because of this hole in the wall wanna be resort! Please don't waste your money on this place like we did!

Our room was not maintained or kept up. The ceiling was literally flaking all over our beds and our things. When we notified the front desk, they sent maintenance up and all they could do was scrape the ceiling. It started falling again 10 mins after they left. We have been waiting on them to approve for us to change rooms. Worst part was our 2 year old almost ate it.

So many options for pools and hot tubs, indoor and outdoor lazy rivers, and so close to the shoreline, parking was a little annoying in the garage but dont let that ruin any opinion. I would have expected to pay more for a place that had as many amenities.

Came in turned up the lights and roaches in the kitchen. So disappointing. The room is nothing like what's on the website. This is horrible. Money wasted. My husband really wanted his family to have a nice get away after being cooped up for months because of COVID-19. If we could book another room else where we would.

This is the second year, I have stayed here. True it didn't have to many good reviews and true it could use a little updating. I like it here, they have many things for the kids to do everyday like crafts and pool activities. The pools are good, love the hot tub. There is a couple of things I didn't like. As the same as last year. The couch is very dirty. Had to put one of there blankets on it . Come on guys really, some new couches please. The outdoor carpet on the balcony is awful, pull it up or put new down. Please put a fan at the elevators, to hot.all in all not a bad place

I read so many mixed reviews about the Landmark Resort before actually booking a room. I am so glad I did! The room I stayed in was absolutely stunning and had the most amazing view. The resort itself had so much to do, and you can walk right from the hotel straight to the beach. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I watched at night how the staff takes pride into their cleaning and they do a wonderful job so that the next morning it would be perfect for the guest. This is definitely my go to place every time I am in Myrtle Beach. Before going here I was going to plan another trip but to another beach, after staying here I think I will just be coming back here instead. Also, I enjoyed the breakfast. I really recommend anyone who is planning on going to Myrtle Beach to please check this place out.

BEWARE*** Housekeeping is suppose to honor the DO NOT DISTURB sign that is put in the key slot, they do NOT!!! They entered the room anyway and hid my child's iPhone and wallet in an hotel pillowcase. We always hide our belongings but it was so late in the day that housekeeping should have been gone. Took us forever to find his things. I finally had to call my older son and he sent a signal to the phone and it located it. If that had not happened we would never had found it!! My son was so upset that he thought someone was coming back to take his things, that he didn't want to leave the room. Took forever for management to get in touch with me. I went to the front desk and left several messages. I had to call back after I returned home. Jessica, in management, first said she spoke with housekeeping and no one put his things in a hotel pillow case and then later she said they did to keep from anyone else from coming in the room to take them?! WHAT?! Nothing was done! My child's vacation was ruined, he would not go back to the pool or beach!!! I will never stay here again!!! Stayed on lobby/street floor very noisy. The door on the inside did not have an extra lock for night time protection!!! Check in very slow!! Find somewhere else.

It's in a good location. The side view rooms provide a nice view of the ocean and of the boulevard. Like most all hotels at Myrtle Beach, it's older and been through a few renovations. By the time they get around and update all the rooms, it needs it again. The room I had was a little "tired". Cabinets were very old, fridge didn't work great, carpet and bedding pretty worn. But it's not the worst I've stayed in either. Helpful Staff. They have lots of pools and a parking deck across the street with a walkway connecting to the hotel. It was clean enough. It was off season and we got an average price. I'm sure I'll stay here again at some point.

My kids and I stayed at this place last week for Spring Break. Incredibly friendly and approachable staff. Terrance (or T) stuck out the most at the front desk. He made sure the check in on Sunday night after midnight was quick and painless. Very friendly. My son, who's a diabetic, needed medical supplies and the hotel staff allowed us to ship them to the hotel, no hassle. The bartender Daniel was very friendly. Great guy, makes a wicked Frisky Parrot. The location was great, the indoor pools/hot tubs were great. The room was nice and spacious. I will stay here again upon returning to Myrtle Beach.

Worst beach vacation we have ever had as far as hotels.
Kitchen sink backed up 20 min after arrival. I almost threw up the smell was so bad. Floors and counter tops were filthy. The whole room smelled like a combination of mold, a sweaty gym, smoke and I'm not sure what else. Sprayed it like crazy with Lysol. All indoor pools were cold. One hot tub looked and smelled like a toilet that had not been flushed for a week. Other hot tubs didn't work, were cold or both. The stove was gross, coffee pot had clearly never been cleaned. On top of that we came home with a stomach bug. Not sure which disgusting issue may have caused that. The people below us were loud and smoking something funny that came into our room when the bancany door was opened, so we didn't open it or let our kids go outside. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

Showed up and was told our room was second floor, we requested higher was told there were no other rooms oceanfront. Got in the room And the ceiling was flaking down. Called front desk told them they said they would move our room.... I thought there were no others but ok. Got moved 12th floor ocean front after being told your not assigned a room till check in yet we are taking someone else's room...yet how if it is not assigned till check in.... whatever. Asked for cart for luggage was told there were none, so we hauled everything twice now and the hotel is super humid. Get to the new room it was alright, the back splash in kitchen was all broken. The faucet felt like it would break off in any moment. There was food on the wall where the table was. Set the ac to 68 it would not stay randomly going from 59 to 70 with no warning. Oh and let us not forget our apparent extra guest the roach. Yup roaches... So if you are not looking for quality for a expensive price this is the place. Best part the view but seriously the runarounds and the low maintenance is a let down.

Service is good, the indoor pool is fantastic and one of the best I've seen so far. Breakfast was very good and affordable. The bartender was super nice, although drinks are a bit pricey and made very strong. Only issues I had with my stay was all the ice machines were down except the lobby (we stayed on the 12th floor), and the place seemed slightly rundown, in the sense that lighting was spotty and flickering, elevator doors a little shaky, etc. Overall good experience though, would recommend.
