I haven't been there yet. However the help I have received from Emilie online has been fantastic! One of the most helpful people i have ever encountered. She went out of her way to answer all my questions and set me up for success. If the rest of the staff at the Landings are half as good as Emilie this will be a great place! If you are having trouble, ask for Emilie!

Hi! I went to the office the other day to pick up some packages, but one of the packages wasn't there even though the sender notified me it was delivered. I never got an email from The Landings that it was there, but Colton G was still willing to look for me. He went through multiple boxes and packages, still no luck. He then told me he would personally call the other properties to see if my package was dropped off at one of them. SO APPRECIATED. It was nearly 7pm (when the office closes) and he STILL offered to stay and call around for me... excellent customer service. I hope to see Colton G every time I go to the office.

Very disappointed...just moved my daughter in and the apartment was filthy from my feet being black from walking in floor to hair everywhere. Dishwasher was way off balance. Closet door broken and just plain dirty. Management came out and said cleaning crew will be out tomorrow...and NO cleaning crew ever showed up. The hallways into apartments were disgusting and hadn't been cleaned in a VERY LONG TIME!!! WHO EVER RUNS THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP....THAT PLACE SHOULD OF BEEN SHINNING. YOU HAVE PARENTS DROPPING THEIR CHILDREN OFF TO COLLEGE AND ARE ALL PAYING VERY GOOD $ AND YOUR PLACED LOOKED LIKE A COMPLETE DUMP. VERY DISAPPOINTED

The Landings at Chandler Crossings - Review after ...

The Landings at Chandler Crossings - Review after 1 year living here.

The fridge in our unit had broken seven times between Oct 2019 and July 2020. We were given $50 credits most of the time this happened to refund our groceries lost to the fridge.

I ended up purchasing a cooler and ice from Meijer to keep some of our food cold while we were told "a new fridge was coming tomorrow."

It took 1 week for the fridge to be replaced and was only replaced after speaking to management on multiple occassions.

The fridge was finally replaced in the summer 2020, but it is not the same model we had before -- it is an older model, which is not what we're paying for since we live in an Emerald Unit.

- The keys frequently stopped working in fall 2020. On three different occassions, my apartment key stopped working. When the Landings underwent a management transfer in summer 2020, they changed every resident's keys by accident (I was told), without informing or apologizing to any of its residents ahead of time.

- On a separate key-related instance, my roommate's key also stopped working and she waited 2 hours for maintenance to show up with a key. She was also charged a fee because it was late at night and after hours.

- The breaker to the electricity in the unit frequently goes out and needs to be switched. On multiple occassions, I was cooking couple things on the stove and had something else plugged into the kitchen outlet. The power in the kitchen goes out more often than not. While it is very easy to switch the breaker, it is inconvenient to have the electricity go off.

- There are many bugs that manage to crawl into the apartment, including large beetles and the typical spiders in the corners of the rooms.

Pros:

- The staff is very friendly and nice to speak to!

- In a relatively quiet neighborhood, though some Friday and Saturday nights can be loud with upstairs neighbors and their music.

- Access to walking/biking trails

- Bus stop is on site

- Laundry unit on-site (though sometimes it is prone to breaking)

- Meijer is just around the corner

- Speedway Gas Station 1 mile drive

- Majority student community

I m only leaving this review because my friend recently told me about how awful the management, wifi and maintenance team are here. The wifi has been out for nearly 2 months now (no word on when they re fixing it, my friend was told it would be fixed about a month and a half ago). Maintenance took 3 days to get out to their apartment when the bathroom flooded, and while the maintenance team was there they left (before fixing the issue) because someone else s apartment flooded. She is continually double charged for utilities and/or trash fees. After 2 years of living there you d think management would even kind of care about their issues, but they do not. I wouldn t recommend these apartments to anyone, and I would highly advise looking elsewhere when searching for a place to live.

Avoid this place at all costs. Their management company are thieves and they will try to pull fast ones on you. I had to correct them on charges on my account multiple times and when I moved out they charged me $340 bc they claimed there was a hole in the wall from hanging a picture which I never hung anything in my room and was probably from a prior tenant. They would not take off the charges no matter how much I spoke reasonably with them. They send my bill to collections and refused to pay such a fraudualent claim. Seriously avoid this place it's not worth it I have lived in multiple locations in east Lansing throughout undergrad and med school and this was by far the worst.

Neighbors are terrible. They left their trash in front of my door. It happened three times already! I had told office several times but they just took the trash out and did nothing with the neighbors. NO MEMTION SHEET stick on the door. Landings' building door doesn't have security. Anyone can go through all buildings. My packages had lost over four times! But I did nothing with the thief. Also, people did fireworks in the front of apt building's door. That sounds like gunshots and scared everyone. Police came here to solve the problem. This is the terrible place to live. UNSAFE. Don't just think about the low price, do think about yr safety ok?

I have currently lived with chandler for about a y...

I have currently lived with chandler for about a year now. I have been living in a different apartment every year for the last 6 years and I am happy to say that I have finally found one that I like! Yes there are some things that happen that have bothered me, but you will get that everywhere you go. As much as I have read stating that management is terrible I have never experienced this. Things go wrong, but I have always gotten the sense that Management genuanly cares and does what they can to make my living experience better. I have put in a few maintenance requests and they have fixed things very quickly. I have had a few things go wrong and after going and talking to them in person they were able to either accommodate me accordingly for the errors or explain why things were done that way in a very caring matter. Every time I have ever had to speak to Matt at the office I have left with a smile on my face. I love that the staff always seems to remember me and most of them remember my name. The apartments are a great price especially for how much you get and the Staff members are wonderful. Just yesterday I was home while maintenance was fixing something and he remembered me specifically and remembered everything that he has fixed for me even when I lived in the other complex!

Don't be discouraged by all of the negativity in reviews. I believe most people don't feel this way and people only seem to do a review when they have something negative to say.

I have been living at the landings for almost 2 years now and there s so many great things to say about them! For starters I love the employees we ve literally gained relationships. I love talking to with Katie, Chris (even though he left us for the villages) and one of the newer employees Brandon Odell is the most gracious person there. They go above and beyond to help you with anything you need from fixing anything in the apartment to getting packages! Amenities are great and the prices are beyond reasonable, this is such a great place to live.

What a wonderful place to live! The apartment layouts are well thought out and quite modular. The furniture is modern and high quality. The facilities are clean and great to use. The bus stop right at the apartment has been incredibly beneficial helping me get to and from school. Any issues or questions you may have can be quickly addressed in the office with friendly staff. My keycard stopped working and a staff member named Sydney promptly helped me exchange mine for a functioning unit. I can t praise this place highly enough.

I recently talked with a girl named Mary on the phone about living here next year. She talked me through everything I needed to know, she knew the answer to every question I asked! Mary even said she could give a tour of the place so I would get a better feel for it. If I end up living here next year I want to thank her for making my decision so easy!

Choose spartan or better, do not choose traditional.
Many issues with the apt that never got fixed all year. When we moved in, the dishwasher was DISGUSTINGLY filthy, floor was peeling up from the floor, none of the kitchen outlets worked, fridge didnt have shelves, toilets didnt completely flush (not to mention unbelievably cold in wintertime), half our couch was missing, and many more that im not going to list here. Don't fall for their "sample" showcase apt that they lure you in with. It never looks that good (but thats the case with anywhere, not just landings).

If you have to live here, choose emerald or at LEAST spartan. It will be significantly better than the traditional we got. In the end, they will probably charge us with a heavy bill saying we ruined the apt but that's our fault for cheaping out on the bill

The internet for the past 2 MONTHS has been consistently cutting out more than once per hour every day, not the connection i have my computer plugged into an ethernet cable. but the service itself fails for the entire apartment complex.

Any time i get in contact with management the essentially say "we're working on it" but also "there's nothing we can do"
I would not recommend to anyone to live here, there are surely better options with more accommodating property managers

a problem that lasts for 2 months that affects all residents has not been resolved whatsoever

Useless management

WARNING!! Do not live here, This place is absolutely horrible, if I can give it a negative rating I would, please do not waste your time living in the landings or any complex associated with Chandler Crossing. Im pretty sure the positive ratings you see are probably the staff trying to make the place better than what it is.

I've lived in the club, the village and the landings @ Chandler crossing since I moved here. I can honestly say that Chandler has the worst management ever! They've changed management at least 3-4 times in the whole year that I've been at the landing. They don't take responsibility for things that go wrong in the apartment and the staff is rude and doesn't think of the tenent. They've had shootings and even robberies and they don't notify you of any of those things while living here! The only way you would know is if you get the Msu alert text letting you know what happened! IF YOU PLAN ON MOVING TO EAST LANSING CHANDLER IS THE WORST APARTMENT TO MOVE TO! Yes, it has some what decent rent and great amenities but those aren't even worth it because half the time the stuff doesn't even work. The wifi you have barely works and you have to connect to a different apartment to even be able to use it, but when you do it goes slow.

I have had multiple problems getting maintenance to come fix things. On several occasions I waited over a week for things to be serviced. I missed my rent payment by one day and was charged a $75 late fee without any consideration that I had paid August - May on time and in full. PEAK Campus does not respect your time or money. Would not recommend living here.

Great place to live. The amenities are endless and although it's a little bit off campus, it's not a bad drive, bus ride, or bike ride into town. Maintenance is relatively slow with fixing things but other than that, great experience so far. Definitely go to Absalon Johnson in the leasing office if you need anything taken care of. Super friendly, helpful, and considerate.

The Landings at Chandler Crossing are definitely a great place to live. The best apartment I've came across since moving off campus. The prices are are very affordable, which is great, but the apartment is even BETTER! YOU GET YOUR OWN BATHROOM !!!!!!!!!!!! It's fully furnished, has a swimming pool, volley ball net court, basketball court, 24 hour fitness center, 24 hour computer lab, and tennis. The community center is equipped with game rooms, a great lounging area, tanning beds, study rooms, and of course, the LEASING OFFICE! They're always giving out free popcorn, and preparing freshly brewed coffee, every morning for the residents. They host community events, which are always fun and FREE! Brandon is always nice, and eager to help you. He makes you feel welcomed, and like he's enthused to help the moment you walk in the office. -I'Anna Jones

My name is Mohammad Adi Mohammad Fadzil. I am writing this review to stand a chance on winning the lucky draw going on June 2019. I moved in to The Village last year with my friends. We are international students and it was our first home in the United States. We signed a 6 months lease. At first, we had a lot of questions and now remembering back we emailed and asked numerous stupid questions to The Village staffs and every questions were entertained professionally. After six months, we decided to continue our lease for another six months because of the satisfying services. The facilities provided are really helpful. Being a small international community in MSU we need a space to carry out events. The village clubhouse provided a comfortable living room-like space whereas there is a spacious indoor basketball court in The Club just a walking distance from The Village that we can rent for free in we need a bigger space for our events. The gyms at all three the Village, the club and the landings are all fully equipped and well maintained. Other than the facilities, I think the services by the maintenance staffs deserve some lights. Our work orders are settled in a very prompt response. Also, we received a lot of help from the staffs in the leasing office in terms of answering our questions or lost keys. I think one staff the stood out to me is, Brandon O'Dell, I think he is a very enthusiastic and helpful that made many of my requests easy. I think that is all, just make sure that if you're are looking for places to move in in lansing area, just ask questions to the leasing office in the village.

I hate the Landings! The management is horrible. Ask them to fix something on a monday, and you're lucky if it gets fixed in the next TWO weeks from then. Its overpriced for one person. I lived with 3 other people and we each paid 554 a month. They raise the price every year and don't commit to their promises. We were snowed in for like a week because they didnt care to shovel, the wifi sucks, and they send a million annoying emails just to make sure you pay your rent on time (even if its already paid!) I would never recommend anyone to this mediocre apartment complex!

Wouldn't rent in any of these properties ever agai...

Wouldn't rent in any of these properties ever again, happily moved out. I lived in a 2x2 model and the units themselves were okay, although my room had chipped paint everywhere and the carpets were clearly stained from paint and who knows what else.

My main issue with The Landings was their god awful leasing office. If you plan to live here, and there are any major issues, your only chance of getting your issue fixed is talking to a manager from the start. Most of the office staff has absolutely no idea what they are doing, and on more than one occasion I was told one thing by a staff member, then something completely different from a manager, with a "sorry that person was mistaken". These issues involved rent, move out process, and more. There was countless back and forth with emails and phone calls just to get simple things worked out. Rent checks were lost, and their utility bills were always about 2-3 months delayed.

Also, while all of their maintenance staff was very polite and I had no issues with them personally, there is no rush when things actually go wrong. I had friends in this complex who had been finding ~3-5 wasps in their apartment daily, and it took the maintenance and leasing teams A MONTH to come pull a basketball sized wasp nest from inside their vents. On top of that, they had two birds get into their dryer vent (which also took about 2 days for them to come deal with).

Lastly, the key system was a train wreck, and if your roommate ever switches a key card or anything, yours will most likely stop working as well (this happened to my roommate and I on 3 occasions).

Overall I would pretty much recommend any other apartments in the area, there are other furnished, similarly-priced options in the area that are much more worth your money.

TLDR: Affordable Apartments, Friendly Staff, but far from campus.

Pros:
WiFi and cable included
Bus pass included
Separate Leases
Separate bathrooms
Nice outdoor pool
Nice Gym
Printing
Tanning
Study Rooms
Pet friendly
Dog Park
Cheaper Apartments + optional upgrade
Fun Activities + free food.
Super Friendly Staff
Furnished Apartments (TV included).
Bus stop
Near a Tim Hortons
Can use amenities at all other locations
On Call Security for noise complaints or getting locked out of your apartment.
Keycard not an actual key.
Can pay rent online

Cons:
Beds aren t good for those with back issues
Far away from campus, busses stop at 10:40 not on weekends.
Sometimes unorganised main office (but they re very helpful and try their best)
Maintenance doesn t always fix the root of a problem
Quarterly inspections
Lease is from August - August, you can t move in other than August without subleasing from someone.
Not all rooms/bathrooms are the same like the model.
One Trash Compactor near the front.
6 speed bumps in a row if you live in the back.

I ve lived at the Landings for 3 years and it s still my favourite place I ve ever lived at! The rent is cheap and affordable, and the place comes furnished. The amenities are a great addition. Most places that don t include WiFi you would have to spend $80+ just for WiFi and not even including cable. I have lived in a 2x2 emerald and now a 4x4 spartan and have little complaints. One thing though is the apartments aren t always what the model looks like. For example usually in a 4x4 Bedroom A or D can have a very very VERY small bathroom (the length of the bathtub). But the room size does seem a bit bigger. The 2x2 size is great for two people, and emerald is definitely worth it if you have the money. The appliances are WAY better than the spartan. Upon moving into our 4x4 we ve had constant issues with our fridge leaking. Maintance has come out multiple times replacing things, but with no luck. The walls are very thin and sometimes there can be insulation issues that make rooms a lot colder than others. The furniture is really nice, but the beds aren t great at all. If you have bad back problems management will let you switch out a bed you own with a doctors note. Since I first moved here management has gotten so much better. At first the office seemed a little unorganised, but it s gotten better and better since then! Sometimes corporate can cause delays in receiving sign on packages (like the gift cards and Alexas we waited for for several months). The office can still have their moments of confusion and can be unorganised at times but everyone in the office is AWESOME. Katie is a sweetheart, Sydney always is super helpful and fun to talk to, and Chris always comes to the rescue with my 300x questions. And everyone else in the office does their job and is really understanding and nice to talk too. If they don t know the answer to your question they will ask whoever will know. Throughout each month they will usually have free food or activities on Thursdays which can be fun to attend. And this place IS Dog Friendly!!! They have a nice dog park too. I originally came here because it was dog friendly, and although I haven t gotten a dog yet I have stuck by just because the people, the price, and the amenities. There can be some annoyances now and then but overall I would recommend this place to anyone who can get past the distance and likes to save money!

This place is horrible I would not recommend any students who want to get work done or play video games to live here. The owners show no care to the residents who clearly have internet issues and do nothing about it. They are just straight up bums if you ask me. I was very skeptical at first because communication started off kind of rough, despite their nice apartments. However, they have gotten exceptionally better. The managers David and Matt are very responsive to contact and extremely understanding, jumping to make my experience here better. Absalon and Morgan (I think is his name) are my favorite leasing agents. I initially signed with Absalon and he has helped me from jump, and Morgan was kind and responsive when I reached out to him about issues concerning my carpet! Give them a chance, you won't regret it!

I had the pleasure of working with Absalon Johnson, he is one of the office workers in The Landings. Aside, from the higher up management of the apartment complex, their office workers seem to be very flexible and reliable when it comes to meeting the needs of their residents. Overall, I've lived in The Landings for about a year and a half and my experience has been pretty good. So I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!

DO NOT LIVE HERE!
Their leasing agents are the most unprofessional, unhelpful, incompetent excuse for staff I've ever had the displeasure to have to deal with. the frustration and anger I have towards this complex is indescribable. You have to jump through hoop after hoop to try to get anything accomplished with them - and good luck trying to get in contact with management. That's next to impossible. When I finally found a subleaser, I was thoroughly embarrassed to even be there - I was half-expecting my subleaser to change her mind after talking to the sad excuse for rental agents. It's a half hour bus ride to campus (1 hour round trip). Crime is rampant - there have been several armed robberies since August (currently it is April). Something is always wrong with at least one of the "amenities" they offer (tanning/basketball/etc). Do not live here. Seriously. You don't want to have to go through what I and so many others did.

Please do yourself a favor and do not live here. I know how appealing it looks- that's why I decided to live here. It's super cheap and has all these amenities (which I promise you, either don't work or aren't worth the money). I promise you, it's not worth it. The tanning bed gave me head lice, my mom shipped me a box and it was delivered and signed for by a chandler crossing's employee according to UPS...and then it mysteriously disappeared...and they won't even bother to return my emails about it. The management is absolute crap. I think they have this idea that if they ignore you for long enough, you'll just eventually stop complaining about your problems. Also, literally everything in your apartment will at some point break down, and the maintenance people will show up to fix it when they feel like it...maybe weeks later. Our hot water stopped working, and between my roommates and I, we called 8 times. Each time they told us it would be "fixed by the end of the day". By day three, my roommate had to go in there and literally SCREAM at them so we could have anything but ice cold water. All of these things happened to me. If i could give it a negative rating, I would.
