Christine Bowen Review of The Landings at Chandler Cross...
Wouldn't rent in any of these properties ever agai...
Wouldn't rent in any of these properties ever again, happily moved out. I lived in a 2x2 model and the units themselves were okay, although my room had chipped paint everywhere and the carpets were clearly stained from paint and who knows what else.
My main issue with The Landings was their god awful leasing office. If you plan to live here, and there are any major issues, your only chance of getting your issue fixed is talking to a manager from the start. Most of the office staff has absolutely no idea what they are doing, and on more than one occasion I was told one thing by a staff member, then something completely different from a manager, with a "sorry that person was mistaken". These issues involved rent, move out process, and more. There was countless back and forth with emails and phone calls just to get simple things worked out. Rent checks were lost, and their utility bills were always about 2-3 months delayed.
Also, while all of their maintenance staff was very polite and I had no issues with them personally, there is no rush when things actually go wrong. I had friends in this complex who had been finding ~3-5 wasps in their apartment daily, and it took the maintenance and leasing teams A MONTH to come pull a basketball sized wasp nest from inside their vents. On top of that, they had two birds get into their dryer vent (which also took about 2 days for them to come deal with).
Lastly, the key system was a train wreck, and if your roommate ever switches a key card or anything, yours will most likely stop working as well (this happened to my roommate and I on 3 occasions).
Overall I would pretty much recommend any other apartments in the area, there are other furnished, similarly-priced options in the area that are much more worth your money.
