The service at the Lamb Tavern is always friendly and professional. The food is always tasty, fresh and interesting. You will enjoy your time whether you are grabbing a quick bite at the bar for lunch, date night, family dinner or even a larger event like a birthday celebration. Several times we have gathered at the Lamb Tavern after a burial of a loved one and our Wake was attended to graciously.

My wife and I were going out for dinner and wanted to try a new, to us, restaurant, without a reservation (ugh!). My wife had lunch at this restaurant a short time ago and remembered enjoying the experience. We had our dinner destination!
We were seated very quickly at a table in the bar. It was loud in the bar; it was Saturday night and the Phillies were playing Kansas City and just scored 2 runs to take the lead. Of course it was loud! We couldn't complain since we didn't have a reservation. We were lucky to be seated so we wanted to make the most of our good fortune.
Guinness was on tap; it couldn't get any better than this, could it?
We both ordered soup for starters. My wife had Lobster Bisque while I got the Cream of Mushroom with Crab. Both were excellent as were the warm rolls that were provided to the table.
For our main meal, my wife had a Margherita Flat Bread and Raspberry Walnut salad. She needed a box to take home what she couldn't finish.
I had a Prime Rib. It was the most tender that I have ever had. I didn't need a box.
We shared an Apple Crisp dessert but I must admit I had most of the treat.
It was a great experience; a thoroughly enjoyable evening here. The service and food was great with prices that were reasonable. There is plenty on free off-street parking and is handicapped accessible.
We will definitely be going back to sample the rest of what the menu has to offer. Maybe you will come and give this establishment a try. I think you will be glad that you did. I know that I was!

Nice place for lunch. Food and service were both very good.

We had a lovely luncheon. The crab cakes were delicious and the vegetables were cooked so perfectly I ate every single one! I can't remember the last time I tasted such a delicious cheese cake. The team of professionals serving the luncheon did a superb job! I highly recommend The Lamb and The Porch. :)

Very nice decor. It's a quaint place that make you feel like your back in Revolutionary times. Really delicious food!

The food is tasty and they have a decent enough beer selection. If you go during the afternoon you will likely drown in a sea of Delco regulars and you will be mostly ignored by the staff. A good place to drink alone.

Recently held my daughter's baby shower here. Everything was top notch. The room was setup perfectly, the Captain's table was great and the food was delicious. The banquet manager was so accommodating as was the entire staff. I have received so many compliments from all who attended. I highly recommend.

Beautifully decorated. Food was awesome as well as the service. Will return.

Had a problem with their service. An argument and I never argue. They would not let me order a different soup then the one included in their special, even when I said I'd pay the difference...worse part was waiter never told me this policy until I got the bill for both soups!!

I initially assumed when attending this restaurant would also include their meals for almost being identical with something external. But my given meal was including an amazingly better Burger, while including it's appearance, taste & style - while being very excellent!

Good food and service. Went in the afternoon for lunch with my mom and we both had shrimp tacos. Stella on tap and shrimp tacos. Good mix

I first want to say our young waiter (I wish I got his name) was the sweetest young man who ever waited on me. The food was fabulous and decor done to perfection and very festive..I am planning a luncheon and now I know where to have it "The Porch"

I was here for a luncheon after a funeral, and the food was perfect everything tasted excellent and the service was impeccable. The decor in the lobby is very nice they have multiple couches and chairs that are leather and seat multiple people so you can talk with family and friends.

I was there for my nephew's rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I had the prime rib, and chicken parm over pasta. The prime rib and chicken cooked perfectly. I will definitely be going back again!

Had thanksgiving dinner there. The buffet was absolutely delicious with plenty of food to eat

Quintessential funeral luncheon spot. Always a fine meal. Had the crabcake, mixed veggies and roasted potatoes..excellent as usual. Too many funerals :(

Microwaved rubbery meatloaf, 1/2 spoonful of gravy, waiter seemed more like a bartender than a waiter, the room we sat in was odd, we could hear everyone's conversations, so we whispered, wont be back, too bad...

Was here for a luncheon. The servers were polite and excellent. All staff was accommodating.
Food itself was average. Chicken parm was over-seasoned and a little tough.

I was attending a association dinner which was being held at this very unique tavern. Located in this beautiful facility, it was a step back in time. The food was top shelf, I had the filet mignon medallions cooked to perfection, on a bed of green beans and smothered with golden onions. The bar was inviting and comfortable to share a libation or two while enjoying our conversation. The staff was quick, efficient and responsive. Thoroughly enjoyed and plan to be back soon. Enjoy.

The staff couldn't do enough! They were all accomodating and oustanding! Awesome for lunch and dinner and catered affairs!

The Fried Oysters and Chicken Salad is Always Delicious.

We go here for their Thanksgiving and Easter buffets every year. Always delicious and the service is always wonderful. We are looking to possible have a small event here in November

Went because of all the delicious pictures that were seen on Google, but did not see anything similar on the menu, so maybe those are just banquet options. However the food was good.

Was here for a dinner event. Prime rib was tasty, but a tiny bit dry. Served over Potatoes and mixed vegetables which were both good. Service was excellent. Unfortunately it was very cold...enough to take away from the meal. It was set for 70' inside, which means the AC did not shut off the whole time.

Great place for party's, Food is really good. Every time Me and my Family have been there, always happy.

We go every year for the Thanksgivings buffet. Sometimes the mothers day one ...great friendly service ...it would be nice if the buffet menu was switched up from time to time ..but otherwise its always a nice time

We were there for lunch with a group of 15. Pleasant environment with a friendly staff. Service was efficient and maybe a bit politely slow. Food wasn't bad, though it was a bit salty for our tastes. Portions were appropriate for lunch. Parking is free in the attached lot. Easy to find right on the corner and well marked.

Every time we have a family function in Springfield we have it at the porch. Lambs Tavern is outstanding and has been for as long as I can remember... Over 40 years. Great atmosphere.

I was here yet again for a funeral I'm the food was exceptionally good but I have been there chloride regular dinner with my wife a couple times and was not impressed

Food was very good! I had the shrimp risotto. Best risotto I ever had! Also had cranberry Cosmo which was really good.. Definitely will go back.

Sad to say only two stars. I feel a connection to the historic Lamb Tavern so I would like to give at least 4 stars. One star for the excellent attention given by the host. He showed us to a great half booth/half table that seated the 6 of us very comfortably in a room I like very much. Our server was also good.

We each started with a drink. My kahlua and cream was very good. Next we all had a cup of lobster bisque. It was nice so I want to give it a star except there wasn't a hint of a piece of lobster and kind of heavy on the salt. We each got a small plate to share. Again, food tasted good but so salty it came close to ruining my meal. My tongue was burning.

Friendly waitress and host, nice table and room in a historic landmark, good drinks. Good food but not enough lobster in bisque and needs a whole lot less salt. Too pricey to serve this kind of meal.
