Never any delays in hearings. Good client courtesies -- drinks machines etc. available on third floor too. Lifts in buildings. Disabled Parking available. Good security for the vulnerable. Helpful staff. Base on three visits, as defendant, in 2015/6
Absolutely terrible. The judge arrived two hours late, and when she arrived she was flustered and uncoordinated. She had not read my witness statement. She refused to let me show key evidence. It was clear that the judge did not know what the case was about.
This should have been a straightforward case in which I only had to show that water cannot flow uphill. My case was supported by two engineers' reports and a surveyor's report, along with various diagrams, photos and a video, all of which the judge refused to let me show. The judge then dismissed all three independent expert documents along with my case, showing a staggering disregard for the rational only matched by an apparent contempt for the justice that should have prevailed.
I appealed against this decision. My appeal was thrown out on the grounds that I had sent it in PDF format, despite that fact that I had called the court's number (which turned out not to be the court at all, but a call centre in Leicestershire) and they had said that I could send the appeal electronically, and the PDF could not be signed.
Further, the letter telling me my appeal was refused was itself not signed, and the idiot at Watford Crown Court had addressed it to the wrong name (using my middle name as my surname).
I am now past the deadline for appealing against this miscarriage of justice and there is nothing I can do about it. If I had tried to imagine a worse outcome of a case I should have won easily, I could never have foreseen such systemic negligence, maladministration and sheer stupidity which, frankly, surely borders on the insane.
Watford Crown Court and its officers are not fit for purpose, and the malign motivations that appear to govern it are a disgrace to the legal system and to the commission of justice itself.

Awful service, paid for Court hearing and allowed plenty of time to let Court know I couldn't attend in person. All evidence sent via Recorded Delivery. Judge dismissed case as I wasn't in attendance even though the Court advised it would be reviewed in my absence if notice was given. Now appealing via 3rd party process as Court response via email/telephone is pathetic/appaling.
you cannot contact the court, except by post and the answer is arriving back after a very long time or it doesn't at all. you can't get recipes or you cannot contact them by any other way.

Impossible to contact the court office except by post, no email address, 0300 phone number never answered, no local number, awkward and stroppy security staff whose job appears to be to read newspapers.

I have had a series of cases dealt from the Family court, between 2016 and now. In all occasions, the family team has been nothing short of willing to reply to my messages using the designated email, contact me in very quick times to discuss matters on the phone, issue duplicate paperwork and do their best to their ability to give directions. The telephone centre that can be called, has also been in many cases very helpful to pass urgent queries to the Family Team. On the most important point, the Judges and Magistrates that I have been in their chambers (9 in Watford Family Court - both buildings in Watford) they handle my cases with respect and delivered Justice. In the event that someone chooses to represent themselves, the court system is again there to help them, which was very much appreciated in my case. Finally, the facilities are the best I have seen in the UK and I have been in many courts (Family and Criminal in the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire county). I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from.

Possibly the least helpful and most hostile staff I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. As if family court issues are not stressful enough this experience will make you're head explode.
Absolutely disgusted. not only do they send your paperwork back regardless if it is filled in correctly or not (every time without fail). Men are completely discriminated against. There is no justice in this court. The lady judges are 100 times better and fair, it is a shame that there are not more women willing to be judges. I found this court to have no regard for what is right, just and fair. They only have a interest in taking your money, not even in the interests of a child!
They don't acknowledge receipt of correspondence and take months to reply to queries sent by mail. Impossible to get through by telephone.
Constant delays, expecting us to be present on days we've said we're busy, and venue changes (to different towns). Oh, and most of these just two days before the hearing was set to take place. I can sympathise with lack of resources, but not planning this poor.

I brought my paperwork personally to this County Court. As Court Manager (the Invisible Man) does not answer posted mail,such as a request for Alternative Format forms...ha! Reading the negative reviews here I concur, no receipt is given and who knows what happens to my paperwork! I will bring a double paperwork pack, knowing how inept, disorganised and incompetent UK court system is. I dread to think of the Watford judges looking at the case & its missing evidentiary support. But there is no accountability whatsoever. Security guards were guarding their newspapers and their sandwiches as there was nothing else to guard.

district judge sethi is an out of dated judge, his expiry date is well passed, his a child abusing terrorist, who deserves to rot with peodophiles in prison, he knows im innocent, yet knowingly and continuosly allows the inhumane child abuse to carry on! prove me wrong...

i dont particularly care about being arrested im used to unjustifiable terrorism now, i just find it sickening that criminals like this are encouraged by a corporation of money grabbing scumbags...
humans like these do not deserve the air they breath...
