Iconic venue for music and theater. The space is a little old school and is more for traditional music and "art". The new outdoor space called the Reach will hopefully make the Kennedy center more accessible to the general public. Still worth checking out though.

Great place for the performing arts and roof top dining overlooking the Potomac River. Saw a play in the Theater Lab one trip and a Michael W. Smith concert in the Opera House another trip. The box seating in the Concert Hall makes for an amazing experience. You feel like the President!

Saw Hamilton twice this--once in June and once in August. The center is well staffed, helpful to find your seat quickly, and overall great experience. Even the seats that are higher up tend to have good views of the stage!

When in DC a visit to the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is a must see and do. Schedule in advance for the performance and arrive early to take in the views of Arlington, VA and Georgetown University Healy Hall to the north. It will also be an up close view of the Watergate Hotel. You will be delighted in any performance regardless of the timing of your visit.

An absolutely incredible venue. And the programming is incredible -- it truly aims to represent and honor the very best of the arts in America -- not just the classical arts, but ALL the arts that are truly meaningful to people in our nation.

Nice place. Garage parking cost $14. Place is really close to national mall so you can park at national mall for cheap and walk to the auditorium. Be sure to check the parking duration and hours at the national mall.

Went to go see American in Paris. Great show, Kennedy center is beautiful to walk around in and see different flags, the river, etc. However, the seats I was in (all the way up and back) we're very uncomfortable, which is an awful thing to experience for a 3 hour show.

I have seen several shows here over the years, the last being Hamilton during the summer of 2018. The venue itself is gorgeous and seating is ample. I have never had a seat so poor that I couldn't enjoy the show I was seeing. The staff are always kind and helpful as well!

The only reason I cannot give this venue a 5-star rating is because parking and traffic are horrific! Some of it is understandable due to the location and in general parking in DC is never an easy endeavor. However, the lack of easily accessible shuttles to and from faraway parking can be seen as a fault of the venue.

I had a wonderful time! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food tasty and the entertainment a genuine treat! In the other hand, when entering the Kennedy Center by car...make sure you stay to the right!

A bucket list place. You feel royal just being there. Don't forget to arrive early enough to catch the Millennial Stage performance before your show. The Rooftop Terrace restaurant was a terrible experience, so don't go there to ruin a 5 star experience.

I ve been a season ticket holder to the Kennedy center for a few years and LOVE IT! I grew up thinking performance centers like this were only good for Plays, Ballets and Operas, but the Kennedy Center offers so much more. Most of the programs I go to are the Pop s programs. A subset of the National Symphony Orchestra putting on performance with Artists (I ve seen Babyface s greatest hits, Common do his greatest hits and Kendrick Lamar perform his entire To Pimp a Butterfly Album . I also enjoy the Pop s movie performances where the orchestra plays the music to award winning soundtracks alongside a movie playing on screen above them (I ve seen Home Alone, ET and Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone). I believe this center offers something for everyone and is a great option for a night out in DC on a date or with friends/family!

The Millennium Stage has a free concert every day at 600PM! Amazing!
Impossible not to love the place. It is located in the Kennedy Center, in a wonderful setting, with beautiful views of the Potomac River and the city of Washington.

Always a pleasant experience at the Kennedy center. Great shows and very well performed. The staff are professional and nice. At intermission the staff are quick but the lines are always long. Good service and overall great experience. I highly recommend attending any of the shows they have at the Kennedy Center. We attended the Book of Mormon and it was excellent. After the show the cast meet outside the Left exit (left, if facing the building).

It was thrilling to come and see so many wonderful performances in the opera community here at the Kennedy Center. My teacher, Laurel Gates, perform here and other places in the Washington DC area. I love the beautiful foyers. It s a fit for queens and kings.

It was a really incredible place to see a show. The sound was amazing. We were in the center of the top balcony and could see , hear, and feel everything. There is a grandeur in the building. Parking was very easy in and out. I can't wait to return!.

An impressive place that connects you with culture, the arts and socio-cultural manifestations from a globalized perspective. It shows the great value of JFK for the country and the world. Polished rooms and beautiful lounges, you can breathe internationality in this place.

Unorganized and subpar. Upon entering you are greeted by " I hate my life" security guards, the food was basic and ok, the alcohol being served in the lobby was less than bottom rail but cost $77 for two filled sippy cups. The show Alcina was boring and not as advertised and while there was a lot of talent it was utterly wasted by a very reppetitive and drab narritive of the story, the music didn't match the feeling at all often sounding happy when you should be feeling fear or sadness, maybe it was supposed to be funny?. The seats were so uncomfortable and despite paying the highest seat price we were sat in corner seats and couldn't see half of the show, the theatre wasn't even full. I really don't have anything good to say about it.
