I had a very unsatisfactory experience with Michael, the hotel director. The gym only had one functioning treadmill (out of two) and a woman was on it for over 30 minutes and informed me she would be watching a show on her iPad for another hour before I could use it. As my time in NY was short and my availability for a workout was rife, I asked the management to deal with the other guest and work something out reasonably workable for both of us. After seeing the woman on the treadmill, Michael decided to refuse to do anything...Most hotels (with multiple pieces of equipment) impose 30 minute limits. This place refused to make any accommodations. NEVER AGAIN!!! The staff needs major work.

The rooms are rather small, but it not bad for NYC. On average the staff are friendly and helpful but we have had trouble with a few. The rooms and clean and the food and drinks in the restaurant are good! The stair cases are fully of trash though.

Nice boutique hotel off of 6th ave in the Village. Rooms are small, as are all in NYC, and service was average. I will say that the bathrooms and bedrooms could be updated. Lighting in the rooms is extremely poor. Shower was less than luxurious with some drainage issues which isn t really what you look for at $400/night but overall you re paying for the super convenient location and it s definitely comfortable!

I booked the Greenwich Queen which is in the 18th floor. I paid north of 330$ for one night. The room is amazing, the balcony(shared) was great, the staff was really friendly. However, the issue I had which made my entire stay becoming annoying and unpleasant and not making me want to stay here ever again was the following: I was not informed that the rooms in the 18th floor have super thin walls. I was not making much of noise and i hear some one knocking in the wall. This is a "4-star hotel," i felt I was in a 1-star hotel. I ignored it and my neighbor has the audacity to complain and i got a call from the front desk. If I was informed that the 18th floor has super super superrr thin walls, I would have booked a different room and pay 150+ less.

This hotel has a noticeable classy interior design and is located within walking distance of all the great spots in Manhattan.

The room has a nice atmosphere, comfortable bed, strong shower. Incredible view from the top floor (18th), especially at night. I asked to check out an hour later and that was no problem. Friendly staff.

Only thing that I found uncomfortable is the ventilation in the gym (can smell the fireplace/kitchen).

Rooms are ok but super quaint (with rotary phone and everything!). I got a double room and both beds sunk in and were very low. This combined with the normally smaller size rooms in Manhattan made for an especially claustrophobic feeling at least for me. Staff are nice and location is good.

Very bad experience, Bad rude racist guy in the reception, he insulted my dad, he told us to wait for 20 minutes to clean the room, he came back after 2 hours and told us he would be happy to cancel our reservation, we didn t say nothing bad, the worst of the worst, never try to get to this hotel.

Went for drinks with a friend that was staying in town. The atmosphere was great. Not too loud and the drink menu was reasonably priced. Staff was courteous and fast. Overall a good experience.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's beautifully decorated with an art deco style. The lobby is stunning. Our room was a decent size for new york too with a pretty big shower. The space was used really efficiently so it was very comfortable. The bed was really soft and I was comfortable. Thre service was excellent too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location was also great. Just a few blocks to Washington square park. We're would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Walker is a beautiful jewel in the best part of the city. And the staff made our stay at NYC more enjoyable yet, they had a lot of attentions with us. I will no doubt to choose Walker to stay again.

This hotel is not what it seems from the first impression. Nice lobby, nice staff, really nice beds and amazing shower pressure BUT. I get the impression that this place is either falling apart or poorly constructed from the start. In our group of 15 or so at least 3 people's AC didn't work and they couldn't or didn't fix it. Almost none of our internet logins worked and no one could fix it and the noise from room to room is horrible. I can hear my neighbor sneeze in their room and every door closing in the hallway will wake you up out of a dead sleep.

And don't fall for the coffee or tea in the lobby. It's not complimentary like every other hotel on earth and they won't say that at first. If I'm in NYC and paying hundreds of dollars per night I would expect all of these things to work And don't hit me up to pay for tea for Christ sake.

Computers are down, finally have a room after 1.5 house of waiting. Staff are clearly frazzled, unable to accurately fill reservations. One member of my party was given a key to a room that, upon entry, was occupied. Finally in room, bed made incorrectly with mattress showing. Unfitted sheets. The bathroom doors are practically see-through.

A place to sleep.

A place to sleep.

Was charged 4 days after check out for an additional valet parking $75 and it took them nearly one week to fix the mistake.

Things happen, but how you deal with them are what leave lasting impressions.

Considering our first visit to NYC, it will be quite some time before we make another visit to the city.

Walker Hotel is a gorgeous modern hotel with lots of heart and smarts. The attached restaurant (Social Cafe) serves delicious meals throughout the day and is staffed with talented and attentive employees. Every Walker employee was ready to help and ensure we had an enjoyable stay during the weekend. While the room was smaller than expected, it had an amazing view of the city and a fantastic bathroom. We'd definitely stay here again in the future!

Amazing hotel interior design with two fireplaces, velvet couches and a bar! A hidden gem in Greenwich Village! The service can be spotty - either amazing or you are totally ignored- but great happy hour specials!

Walker is a great hotel! Rooms are very nicely designed, you get a nice treat of great cookies every day. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, especially Bates that really helped went out of his way to help us. We really enjoyed and will definitely prefer to stay here when we are back in NYC.
Another note is that there is a great bar with great atmosphere at the lobby called Society Cafe which is great for breakfast as well.

This was a really nice hotel in a good location. The staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in was painfully small though. The wallpaper was peeling and it was so hot all night but we didn t want to open the window because of the noise. For the price you pay and based on the pictures, we thought the room would be bigger. Overall I would stay here again but would want to upgrade to a larger room since it was so small.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we were very disappointed. The room we got was much smaller than what we saw in the picture. There were no drawers and my carry on suitcase couldn't even be fully opened unless it was on the bed because the space was so small. I've stayed in very small hotel rooms internationally where they always made great use of the space and unfortunately these rooms did not. I was also disappointed to see that the shower didn't drain. When I was applying shampoo I had to turn the shower off so that the water wouldn't overflow. The room was also missing some basic features like a coffee machine and standard blow dryer. The hotel lobby and restaurant were nice but overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as I felt very misled by the website.

Loved this hotel - not my favorite location in the village, but still very central. I especially loved the fact that I didn't feel like I was sleeping in a shopping mall where everything around me was for sale. Friendly service, comfy rooms.

Made a trip to NYC, and had the pleasure of staying at the Walker. I really enjoyed the well appointed rooms, and delicious Society Cafe breakfasts; their juices are the best thing after a fun in the city!

Review based on staff/lobby only -- we've been here several times to enjoy cocktails in the lobby, near the lovely fireplace. It's a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the staff are always really friendly. Highly recommend for a drink, especially on a cold day!

We would highly recommend this place. There are so many relaxing areas. The breakfast is outstanding. We ate here for dinner which was excellent. The facilities in the spa are outstanding. The staff members are also excellent throughout the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much, everyone!

Gorgeous building and interior but insanely loud with the vaulted greenhouse style roof and brick walls. Menu was interesting and servers were friendly but terrible. It took 10 min to be asked for a drink order and another 10 to arrive, one of two being incorrect-because the waiter couldn't hear us. Food came quickly even if the waitress didnt take our order in a reasonable time. Then the server brought out food to the wrong table. And we finally had to wave down the waitress for the check. They weren't crowded and seemed well staffed but in all our one course lunch took 2 hrs. The food was good-we especially liked the vinigarette on the salad that came with the quiche, and apple cider thin pancakes, but our other dishes were unbalanced in flavor. Would not return as there are so many other restaurants in the neighborhood and city.

Amazing old-New York atmosphere. Great bar and food! The rooms are small, but it is New York. They are comfortable and clean. My only critique is that our room did not have a floor lamp or ceiling lights so the room was very dark. Employees are kind, polite, and helpful. would stay again!
