Super slow, minimum staff, not extremely helpful and directive for the location of bedding and items needed. Counter staff at check out took forever and were not knowledgeable.

The Bay has a lot of variety with clothes, shoes and accessories. It's big and has lots of departments. Some staff are friendly, others not so much. I rarely find what I need here despite the selection because the store is big, it's difficult to find what you're looking for.
Never order furniture/online from here. I oredered a table about 45 days ago. When I called to check why it didn t arrive yet, I was told it already had arrived 2 weeks ago. They had all my info, I was not emailed or texted or anything. They trust that I will call to check? That s not a business trying to sell.
Now I am in this mess trying to see where my shipment is, and I am unable to even reach them.
A wonderful shopping mall located very strategically in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It is situated in a big beautiful classic building. Very responsive and welcoming staff. All top brands of the world available in the Hudson's Bay.
We went to Cleary contacts for new glasses, couldn't find anything and the staff was not helpful. Why not try the Bay Downtown!?!? Great optical department and they direct billed our insurance right on the spot, they were very thurough and it took longer than we thought it would of but extremly happy with the end result! Again though the staff 5 stars through and through!
Probably the best place for men's clothes. Men's department is on the top floor. This is better place than any Hudson's Bay that I have been to. They have Levi's, Hugo Boss, Stellson just to name a few.
This was my mini vacation we were there for 3 days the people were very nice the food was good the views breathtaking you definitely got to go
Pretty good deals on sale days, but the store is starting to show its age.
Very friendly place for shopping, store very tidy and a variety of discounts.
I think this is one of hudson's bay biggest store location. Comfortable, friendly staffs, a lot of choice and wide range of products. Some of the products are only available online, and needs several days if you want to pick up at store.
COVID hours, only afternoon shopping with limited staff
Not exactly cheap, but has a good selection of products (especially women clothes).
If you're a man, be prepared for a looong wait at the elevators, as they are incredibly slow (plus you have only one that goes directly to the man floor, floor #6). Stairs are often broken, too
It is a great stop for shopping with more than 4 floors.
I won't step foot in here until you stop selling Trump products. Wake up, you're a Canadian company -- act like it.
Great deals can be found for the guys but The Room for the ladies is superior. Some unique and one off pieces thatll ensure your an OG. Twice a yr there's guys night out where theres booze, food and shopping for the guys.
The candy shop inside Topshop is a death trap. They give your free candy samples to lure you in and people end up leaving with heaps of candy and I'm one of those people!!!!
Once again, another escalator under construction. This has been an on/off project for a very long time.Unfortunately,it is difficult for me to walk down steps(stationary escalator) and then have to resort to the elevator.Still have not improved the staffing level, basically have to look after yourself.Used to be a favorite place to shop, but in recent years, rarely shop at HBC.Definitely need to up their service.
On October 8, I had a difficult time when an employee from the men's area on the 6th floor in the returns area, behaved disrespectfully, to the point of yelling at me, when I asked him what card number was on my receipt. . my credit or debit card, I asked him to speak with the manager on duty, and he refused, I hope they educate him better, o get a different job,but no costumer service,
I got what I needed but it took much longer than it should have due to the store's strange layout.
The choices of goods is very good but staff are very difficult to be found
Top floor for mens clothing. Lots of high fashion gear and well priced. Lots of sales. Been my go to place for years.
Its ok but very list with customet srevice looks like a ghost town to get help
I received some of the best customer service here as not just one, but two employees went out of their way to help me not only pick out a size that fit me *and offered to call other nearby locations for their stock* and keeping it on hold while I browsed the remainder of the store. When the till went down *for understandable reasons*, not only did another employee in another department take me no questions asked, but she went out of her way to make sure I got the best deal instead of what appeared on the screen. If for nothing else, that makes this store a great one.
The best Bay I've been too! Great selection for all budgets and good on service.
I think the department store may just be a thing of the past. I just went for the nespresso store but had to walk past 20 fifty year old commission-based vigilantes with perfume bottles to get there. It's clean and they have lots of product but it just doesn't seem relevant.
Nice place to shop. Many brands to choose from. The shoes bought on black friday was marked up from $65 to $75. But I only discovered later as I teared away the price tag. Will check carefully next time if I shop on Black Friday again!
A long-established Canadian department store called Hudson Bay, close to Robson Street. We are also attracting support from tourists for souvenir purchases.
A great shopping place for apparels and home decor.
Very good place for shopping cloths. Lots of choice and designs and good discounts. Staff was friendly.
6 floors, but no bathing suits or any swimwear for men. Poor interior signage for a huge store.
$$$$
But of course with quality....
Lots of product but poor customer service - very pretentious.
The best Hudson Bay location in B.C., in my opinion. Expansive and a large inventory makes shopping at this location pleasant and exciting.
Love shopping here, great prices for kids clothes it's my #1 stop shop for what I am looking for when it comes to dressing my kids up from winter gear to sports apparel and dresswear
I'm from the US, so I have an inexplicable attraction to the striped Hudson Bay Blankets. If you go to the sub basement, there's a whole little shop filled with striped things, so that's fun. You can even get out with a pair of striped socks or a tote bag for under $20, otherwise, of course, the wool blankets and coats are pricey. As for the rest of the store... it's classic yet disappointing--both somewhat run-down and expensive. The highlights are the high-end shops which have some beautiful things at staggering prices. It's time for The Bay to up their game rather than trying to buy Macy's!
Eugh, the Bay! Sure to make you feel like you've died but haven't made it anywhere as fun as hell yet.
Escalator issues - the Bay is great, a Canadian Landmark. But the escalators NEVER work. Tough to see older patrons struggling up and down. And yes, I know there are elevators....
Can't be beat when there are sales. Staff are helpful, and some remember my name.
They r cheaters. My niece bought a pair of Nike shoes for me and they did not give her the box and did not say anything about no return No refund thing. Next day I went to return as it hurts my heel when I walk even few steps.
Lady over there rudely refused to return or refund and whn I asked to see manager she made me wait for half an hour only to say that manager is in meeting and cannot come to talk to me.
It was awefup experience and the shoes are just lying useless in my closet.
They r cheaters . Since then I stopped buying from Hudson Bay.
THIS PLACE IS HUGE. You may need staff to direct you around at first, but once you figure it out they have everything!
Im sure there are some deals here you shouldn't miss out on. It carries a lot of different items from clothes to houseware. Its a shame this place has never been able to rebound back from its glory years. Despite its drab feel, suggest poppin in.
Busy time of year it was crowded but the deals were good.
It's a nice place to touch and feel the stuff you want to buy, but it is overpriced so you are better off buying elsewhere.
Love Hudson's Bay, top quality product and old fashion good service! Love coming up here to shop!
Bad experience at Nespresso boutique last visit. Manager had zero CSR skills. Will avoid this location like the plague. I guess I'll be ordering online from now on.
The store is so beautifully set up, the staff was great.
Six floors to shop till your heart stops or credit card is maxed out.
Needs to improve their elevators. Worst elevators in the city and hard to move between floors, especially when no other choice for movement, ie stroller. Other than that, good selection of items though finding a staff member for help can be a challenge at times.
Nice clothes but very expensive have to wait for sale if you want a good price
It's huge, so you can eventually find what you came for!lol
Anonymous, like most malls in the world. We could be in Rome as in Beijing and there would be no differences.
Very organized and lots of variety available. It's also conveniently located near the skytrain station.
One of my favorite stores with ultimate brands and merchandise.
This type of store is outdated and soon will join the dinosaurs. If they didn't on more land than the govt did, they would have gone bankrupt. Great nostalgic place but gone with the times.
This is a big bay, everything your looking for you can find at this location!
I buy everything from clothes, shoes, cosmetics, to whatever I want from the Bay.
A chubby lady who seems to be a store manager at Chanel is extremely rude. Don t talk to her or she ll make your whole day totally messed up.
