A staple in Marrickville now. This would have to be one of my favourite pubs to hang out in. Always a good time and range of beers. Food is always good too

True local gem, situated in Sydney's inner west suburb, Marrickville. Great place for catching up with friends, casual dates and is family/kids friendly. One of my favorite dishes would have to be the Karaage Chicken Burger. Also try the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Wings and Calamari with Aioli. Great prices, friendly service and opens late - All round wonderful place!

Family, dog and human friendly. Great vibe, plenty of space and classic pub activities on offer.

Love the atmosphere here. My friends and I drive from the west to come here every now and then. Food is great, had the knuckle sandwich and it is beautiful. A lot of different beers on tap and the outdoor area is great for chilling out.

Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. Only 4 stars due to the lack of smoking area. It's a sin to have Friday lunch beers and not be able to sit down and enjoy the pair.

Food is amazing here, and having a games room is so awesome. Overall super fun venue.

The food here is unique and delicious. Try a knuckle sandwich, you wont regret it. The beer rocks as well and they have an indoor area for kids to play. I go here every time im in the area

The Henson is a place for all. Friendly staff backed by an amazing menu and everything you could want from a inner west hotel.

I would say the food quality to price, is not there for me, great looking dishes, high in salt,the roof of my mouth was burning at the end of it, the sweet potatoes were a little raw for my liking but overall it was ok.

Traditional Aussie pub with sports and a selection of beers. If you want the old VB they got you if you want fancy cocktails they have you covered too.
Indoor and courtyard seating available. Bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Food options were varied and tasty. Something for everyone.

Great selection of local craft beer. And a very non pretentious atmosphere. A proper 'inner westie' pub.

OK. They have a large tap list, but strangely very little in the way of good independent beers (usually one or two taps). The food appears to attempt a Mexican/Japanese/Spanish/something else fusion, but doesn't quite manage it.

The meals at this pub are amazing. They re both delicious and huge. The beer garden is dog friendly and it s always a relaxing place to be.

Looks a little plain from the outside, but as soon as you walk in you notice the culture that has been through the doors.
As you make your way past one of their multiple bars you can drink, eat or sit in the beer garden.

Great historic pub with subtle remnants of the old blended with the new. Plenty of nice on-tap beers, cider and wine to choose from. Excellent food, a kids play area, arcade and a pool table. It has it all.

Parents can chill...kids can run amok. Perfect. Oh, and the food is awesome.

Great food, great atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Their beer garden was so beautiful and relaxing and the playlist of old and new chilled out hits just made it even better! So refreshing to get aioli added to your chips and not have to pay any extra for it! Their rooster salt's amazing!

This is a pet friendly place in the heart of a locality. Often you might not see the entrance clearly but as you enter the place its a different world.

With high chairs and tables for energetic groups to lounges for lazing this place serves all.

The chicken wings are to die for. You feel at a friends place with no frill business. The staffs are super friendly and help you in all possible ways. You get glimpes of some A380s belly as its just under the approach path.

Overall try out this place with friends and family and it would win your heart.

Great Environment, Brilliant Food and surprising very Kids Friendly

These was a terrific find. Really good food, great beer menu and a relaxed environment for families, kids, grown ups- everyone! The outdoor eating space is comfortable and beautiful.
Hope to go again soon!

Staff are excellent, friendly & helpful. Very good Bloody Mary! But a very noisy place. No quiet dining here.

Hip and trendy family friendly pub with delicious pub food. Their chicken wing is a highlight and they have a great selection of beers.

If you have a friend living nearby then this place is very convenient to get drunk at before visiting them.

Great selection of beers, both craft and traditional. Food menu is a bit on the pricey side but mostly it's quite reasonable, and it's very very tasty. Decor might not be to everyone's taste but I find it charming. There's a big dining area out the back and a good sized sports bar with multiple screens to watch whatever is on. Very much worth a visit.

Used to be a good place for food- however, the price now is over charged and the chef doesn t even know what soba and dan Dan noodles are - sadly they have lost us as customers

The recent menu changes have seen a shift in food quality and choice. Staff are always amazing, as is the atmosphere. I hope they keep their food top notch....this is what the henson is known for in our local circles.

All the food is great (especially the karage chicken burger). Great beer and outdoor area too. Kid friendly.

Great beer selection, got the satay roti and was not disappointed. Would avoid sitting near the parents room if you've got a sensitive nose!

It's friendly staff, wide ranging menu (burgers to laksa & soft serve sundaes) and a good selection of craft beer fit well with its patrons, families and inner west urbanites. Weekends are particularly popular so it pays to book. Well worth a visit and would have no hesitation to recommend.

I've been there dozen's of times over the past 3 years, great outdoor area, fantastic food (especially the burgers), takeaways for when you wanna carry on the night at home and friend staff!

A suburban pub that still has old tiles, and charm. The beer garden is concreted, but shaded by umbrellas and large potted trees. Kids area for little ones.
