Great vibe although can be a bit too loud for decent conversation. Food was delicious but a little too salty (the chips and the KFC Haloumi). Good selection of food and drinks. Friendly and efficient staff. Will keep going back.

Good vibe, but not very kid friendly.

Good vibe, but not very kid friendly.

Despite the kids being quiet and civil, every time they got out of their seats and were standing behind mum and dads chair, the pink-vest lady constantly came over and said the kids needed to stay seated.
She never went to the white families, and told their toddlers to sit in a seat... Jus sayin. You had white mums following their toddlers around the whole dining area, not a word mentioned to them about sitting down.

The Henson is a great local pubs with lots of positive attributes. It's a dog friendly pub, with great beers on tap and a plethora of food available. We've gone through most of the menu and can highly recommend the Satay rotis and the burgers

great place to eat and drink with a young family, food was great and not over priced something for everyone, great space for kid's to play even a games room. Only down side too many older kids in the play area being left unsupervised and being rude and running into the younger kids, especialy one kid who was running around with a homemade shiv knife plastic of course but a bit concerning stabbing things a parent even pretending to stabb other kids

Great pub! One of my favourites, there s pubs closer to me in Marrickville, but I go out of my way to come here. Great selection of beer, great pub food, good beer garden, and always good to catch a sporting game .

The beef burger is good, nice touch on the melted cheese and special sauce.

The same can't be said about the chicken burger, it's deep-fried in some very old oil, you can taste the bunt oil on your chicken.

Chips are good, service is nice.

This place can be a bit on the noisy side.

The perfect pub. Yah, I said it. Caters for diversity. Comfy, old school front bar, where you can have a beer and watch sport, and get in on a badge draw. A comfy bistro with seriously top notch pub grub. Even your vegan and vege friends will be happy. Knuckle sandwich is oh-so yum. Love the outdoor area. And kids can go a bit Lord of Flies at the space for them. Oh, did I forget the cheese and deli? Nope!

Fantastic pub with a great selection of beers. Food is great. Is very family and dog friendly especially on weekends. Lots of kids around, they even have a playroom.

Monday to Friday have different specials every day and different events most nights. There's also a pool table and TV's in the front bar for sport lovers.

Nice and relaxed place. Was unsure wether it would be okay to bring our 5 month old daughter but was pleasantly surprised that pretty much every table had a child. Great place to catch up with friends

I love this place. So many beers on Henson from all over the world! Friendly staff, and cosy rooftop bar. If you prefer something light, go for tacos. They also have some nice combos in the menu. Food 8/10. Vibe 10/10. Ambience 10/10. The place is absolutely amazing. Love it!!!

Cool farmhouse/boho/hipster vibe. Not a huge amount of vegan options, but the food was still pretty delicious with some nice takes on traditional pub fare. It's very family friendly - the garden terrace was full of kids on a weeknight.

Our favourite inner west pub. The kitchen produces amazing Asian fusion food. Their menu changes every now and then. Family friendly too, there's a little cubby house. I even saw someone brought their dog in once.

From the selection of good craft beers on tap to the Asian inspired pub food that was absolutely delicious, I will definitely be coming back here to try everything else on the menu and on the taps.

The food here is amazing and the bar is normally a great place. The staff here however are the rudest staff I have ever had at any bar or restaurant. And it isn't just one or two people. There were three or four separate staff members who were very rude!! This would be an awesome venue if it wasn't for that simple issue.

The roti is to die for!

The roti is to die for!
Always love Henson since I used to live in the hood till I have moved to other area.
Nice ambience and crowd!

Went there on a weekday for lunch.
Interesting menu - asian australian fusion. I had nasi goreng and it was delicious.
Soft serve from the bar was great too!
Child friendly - toddler enjoyed the ball pit and climbing up.

A great suburban pub in every way. Plenty of different areas to sit/drink, and the layout means that even when it s busy, it never feels rammed. The food is good, plenty of different bars to grab a drink, and a nice setup if you want to watch sport. Also, epic little games room where you can play old-school arcade games like Buck Hunter or Street Fighter 2. This pub feels like you re in a bit of a time warp - and that s a huge compliment. Thoroughly recommend.

This is the best pub in the Innerwest, delicious food menu (not like other pubs but still pub-like) crafty beers, lovely lay out and even an arcade games room, if you haven t been here you definitely should.

If you don't mind high pitch squealing of children and average meals for your hard earnt dollars do not go. Some of
their dishes do not meet expectations. The signs state they are not responsible for your children however it seems most children are not supervised suffenciently. A dreadful experience at dinner but much quieter at lunch. I could cook better some dishes myself. I would say disappointing at the least.

It gets busy here but it is a great reno of an old style pub. Very family friendly. The converted garage is a great room full of fun for the little ones. Lots of outdoor areas, funky menu, few good beers on tap.

I live around the corner from this pub and from the first time I went there I was impressed.
The exterior decor is very classic 'Aussie pub' style - nothing flash, pictures of old beer advertisements and the usual off-white and green tiles.
Once inside, the decor is classic and simple, yet trendy.
The bar staff is friendly and there is a good selections of beers, mixers and cocktails.
There is quite a wide selection of food, and though a little pricey, it is all top quality. A person favourite is the KFC haloumi - a great little snack at any time!

One thing I particularly love about this bar is the courtyard area at the back of the pub. On one side of the courtyard, in a lowered room, is a kids play area. I'm a little jealous that I have no excuse to use this play area - it looks really awesome.
The courtyard area has a nice setup of tables, pot plants, and quite a number of tables. It also allows you to bring your dog on leash.

Over all I really enjoy the place - summer or winter - go check it out!
