A little overpriced but decent food for a pre-show meal or drink. The salads are the best options on the menu. The portions are large and the coffee is decent.

You need real cuban bread for your Cuban sandwich. I miss a real Florida Cuban sandwich so much!
I love brunch, it's my favorite meal of the week but I hardly get to enjoy it because of my insane work schedule. I've seen this spot what attracted me is for some reason google lists it as bottomless mimosas..its not but I already there and hungry.
I'm a huge eggs Benedict person and when smoked salmon is added, this can be a wonderful combo. The hollandaise was done great, the seasoning is a little spicy (I love spicy so fine for me but if you are sensitive I would avoid this), the only thing I could really say that got me was the almost comical amount of salmon on it..now for a mimosa and this meal paying $24 I think I would keep this as an experience as I've found better places in the city with the same dish but more ample amount of salmon (bottomless mimosas for the same price or a tad cheaper). After all that's the seller of the dish. Don't think I'll be coming back, a little over priced for basic food and not very filling.
(I'm a chef..)
Great place. Tasty food. Delicious coffee. Nice folks. Avocado toast is a must! Sept 11 2019.
Grabbed a late night snack and some drinks with my wife while visiting the city. I like Tyler Florence and our hotel was a couple blocks away. We opted to sit at the bar, although the upstairs seating looked kind of cool. The bar is small and kind of awkward as there support beams from whenever the building was built. Still the bartenders make do.
Great casual place for food and wine/beer. Nice ambiance, good lighting.
The menu has a good number of options and choices. My favorite is the guacamole chop salad with steak added. The seating is eclectic -- there are stumps and coffee tables that people use as seats, carved wooden benches, and nice upholstered chairs. It gets very busy at lunch so organize with your crew about how to snag a table. (But don't be rude and lurk!)
Really great food and service plus fresh squeezes OJ.
Ordered some food and wanted to order a cock n bull ginger ale. I was told they don't sell it and that I would have to order it in a spritzer. Im looking at it from across the counter. What the F! The carrot cake was super dry and the rest of the food was meh. I don't think I'll be coming back.
Has no right to exist in this city, in this day and age. Bland, unsatisfying, and inexcusable food.
Needed a quick bite while on a jury duty break. Knew most of the good stuff would be a line. I would gladly pay $15 for a salad from Souvla or something, but my $9.50 breakfast sandwich with tough grated monterrey jack and no sauce to speak of...(though if I'm honest the bacon was pretty good, and so was the brioche bun...) was just lame.
Just don't bother. You're better than this.
Quick (as compared to fast) and very good food. Servings are more than ample. Stand in line to order, then wait staff brings it to your table. It's a bit on the noisy side, but not extremely so. Prices are moderate, but fair, especially for the location which is very convenient to Civic Center music/cultural venues.
Solid light and hearty comfort food, great people watching, good location and attentive service
Looking for fast-casual dining that leaves you feeling great? This is it. Wanted "salad" after a very long day along the Embarcadero and Warf, and this was very close to out hotel. Had the Cobb salad, and I have to say, one of the BEST ever. Lovely pulled chicken, lots of bacon, perfect blue cheese crumbles and light dressing. Delicious. My wife had the Chinese Chicken salad, and also enjoyed immensely. There were a few too many spicy peanuts for her, but she still have the salad 5/5. Lovely cranberry lemonade to share, and front of house service and attention you don't expect in this setting. Wish we had these in Canada, good to know we have them to look for when travelling. Delightful.
Excellent food and good service! Close to New Conservatory Theater.
A great lunch place. the quality of food/services/cleanness of the space... were all great.
You know, these guys are always smiley and incredibly pleasant. Great menu, top notch staff. Local or visitor, these folks will make sure you're fed, and feel at home. Yes, the food isn't cheap. It's delicious, and consistently satisfying. Spend a buck. It's worth it.
Perfect for a quick meal without compromising on quality. It's between the restaurant and the fast food. The waiters are friendly and the atmosphere rather cozy. My mac & cheese were top. Very nice surprise in this neighborhood where everything is expensive!
Very tasty and I am really looking forward to come back! I ate so much! I had to try it all! :)
Great food but very overpriced even for San Francisco
Perfect location for a bite or drink before or after a cultural event!
Quite disappointed, given these stellar reviews. Came here on a weekday at around 11 (not too busy), paid way too much for a deep-dish style quiche, had a very long wait for it (did they forget?) and the quiche came cold! I wouldn't have minded waiting if the quiche didn't still taste frozen inside - and I didn't even get the meat-based one. An experience I don't wish to duplicate.
This place has delicious food, great ambient and exceptional customer service. From the moment, I walked in the employees were welcoming and warm. Definitely will return. Thank you.
The clerk was kind and could buy it for the first time without hesitation. First, you order at the cash register, hold the number tag and wait for the seat.
Always like going to this place when I'm near SF Jazz. Good food portions especially for dessert and always seating available.
Very nice staff, they got this really nice man greeting you up front, handing you the menu and refilling your water glasses.
Flavor was good, but there seems to be a dry theme. My first time I had french toast, but it was surprisingly crunchy. Second time, dry chocolate cake. SF is an expensive place, but $6.75 is too much for me for small slice of cake or 1/8th of a fruit pie.
Cute little place on the corner. Great hospitality. Delicious ice cream and coffee. And super laid back. Come in, order at the counter and go find a comfy couch or table.
Nice restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating including tables of all sizes. After ordering at the counter and picking up drinks, seating is open including a living room style seating area in front of a fireplace. Service was friendly and quick. The menu includes all day breakfast options and meals for kids.
Fine casual eatery with simple fresh salads and entrees.
Fast service, good food. Nothing amazing but it was still good.
A fantastic breakfast, the cinnamon roll bread pudding is to die for. It's my new tradition to grab breakfast here before leaving the city, it's the best way to leave San Fran on a great note.
Great service and friendly staff
Great coffee and drink selection
Always busy
Decent food.
A little overpriced for what you get.
Like eating at a fancier McDonald s with better food
Yes yes yes! This place is delicious! Everything we had was perfection from the pastrami to the tuna to the plain pasta. My niece had an enormous and delicious salad. We found a secluded little table upstairs which was amazing. The ambiance is very unique. It was a great experience
The chicken pot pie is delicious. Decent breakfast burrito as well.
Great sandwich and salad shop for a quick lunch. Try the pastrami if they have not run out of it for the day.
The turkey club is also pretty good. Can t lose either way with chips or the side salad.
Go up to the counter to order don t wait to be seated.
I love this cafe - it's super chilled, and a great place to hang out and do work (as long as you don't need wifi or bring your own dongle) or to catch up with friends.
The food selection isn't huge, but it's great - the vegetarian chili was delicious, as was the Brooklyn Blackout chocolate cake. Excellent selection of drinks (including wine and beer).
Very good! Home really very nice.
Reasonable price.
Nice, clean restaurant with excellent service. The food is simply amazing and very fresh.
On the weekend: Great place for a quick and casual brunch. Perfect portion sizes and friendly staff
During the week from 8-11am: they only serve a very limited selection off the menu. Be warned.
This place has a great vibe, reminiscent of a cabin in the woods. My chicken pot pie was delicious as was my lavender lemonade. The drinks here are very tall and can be shared. I believe they have removed their free wi-fi, so getting work done here may be a challenge.
Love the selection of food and it is always delicious. Great place for a salad.
I really enjoy the chilli dogs here. Very pleasant place to grab a bite.
The food was very good and the service was fast. Everyone was extremely nice. I messed up on ordering and they took care of my mistake. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great place for a quick bite before/after the symphony/Opera/jazz show. There is something for everyone on the menu, the staff is kind and efficient and the food is really tasty. Definitely not cafe prices. Two people is easily $45+ without booze.
Fresh Orange Juice, relaxed athmosphere and a tasteful, big breakfast Burrito!
Overpriced food that usually live up to a quality standard. Nice outdoor seatings.
good for a light meal or lunch. excellent salads and specialty coffees/teas and desserts. reasonable prices in a rustic setting. at top times, one wishes for earplugs to block out the noise.
Always reliable- Good food, friendly people!
For breakfast or brunch the eggs Benedict Dave's way is my favorite, with the rosemary potatoes extra crispy!!
Cheers!!
Very friendly and accommodating service. Tasty food and drinks. Almost ordered the avocado egg toast, but then saw a plate of it go by and it looked like very little food for the $11-12 price tag. Instead, I had the breakfast veggie sandwich for about $9 which was very good, but the bread wasn't sturdy enough to support the weight of the filling; it kept drooping in my hands. I like the aesthetic of the space, but often the only available seating when we visit is around very low coffee tables; it's not very comfortable to hunch over those little tables while you try to enjoy your meal--better to wait for an open table, if you can.
We were STARVING after getting lost as a tourist... and this hit the spot.
Rustic, true american. Good ambient with a great music selection. The service was fast and the food delicious. They offer refill on the Scramble Eggs Plates.
If you're in Hayes Valley and don't know what you want to eat, definitely go here.
Good selection, usually lots of seating, friendly staff, quick service.
Love this place! We go here often. I love getting their mocha and the avocado toast with eggs. I usually don't like hash browns, but they are super crispy and rosemary enhanced here. The lavender lemonade is also delicious. It's usually crowded, but we've never had trouble finding a seat even during the weekend lunch rush. Service is friendly and fast.
Something for everyone. Great place to go before a show or when you're on a time budget.
Great food at very reasonable prices. Only downside is finding your own seat after ordering can be a little stressful. But otherwise good vibes and atmosphere, and service is decent.
Really nice setting; lots of space, great to sit down for a coffee or enjoy a potpie.
The French Toast is Excellent! My Family really enjoys dining here!
Restaurant for eating American food like burgers, sandwiches, salads.
The interior is attractive, with wooden tables and walls and diffused light.
The order is payment must be made to the house; when the food is ready the waiter takes it to the tables.
The service was fast and normal.
Average price.
Delicious artisan grub in an area of San Francisco having few options.
The staff was nice the food terrible. I wouldn't recommend.
A nice go to place to have a quick bite for lunch very huge portions .
Wait was very long. Got an order wrong. Cold chicken pot pie.
Very congenial atmosphere here. We got friendly with people at the tables on both sides of us. I gave the homemade pastrami a try. It was good, but it is served on sour dough; I'll take mine on rye with Russian dressing at the Jewish deli. The locally made chocolate cake was excellent.
Noisy and they wouldn't serve Rye bread with a Tina melt, only pastrami. Really?
Great food, fast service. The Grove never disappoints.
Good restaurant but my friend found rats for two times. A bit strange
THIS place is absolutely amazing. Food is a 10. Great customer service!!!
