Good fiidxagain Sunday evening well worth going back again beautifully presented

Decent food and a great garden for the kids, (they have a maze, a climbing frame and sometimes a bouncy castle along with loads of grass for frizby/football or what ever takes your fancy.)

The outside makes it look like it's going to be great but the inside is pretty run down. We didn't even get our cutlery when the meals came out. The food was just ok as well. Nothing to go out of your way for.

Booked a table for 21 and wasnt ready for us also had to wait an hour for food

Stayed for a couple of drinks really friendly, even got a hello from the pubs cat. Really enjoyed it

A true family friendly pub. Good play area for the children. The food was excellent you have a choice of large or small portions. It's dog friendly too they were welcomed with a fresh bowl of water each. Will definitely visit again when on the IOW again.

A very nice pub restraunt. I had the large gammon steak which was very nice. Warning if you don't have a good appetite the large is large. I would recommend it and go again.

Compared to other carverys on the island, this is really good value, quality meat and roast potatoes to die for. Plenty outside for kids to do, and the clientele is so much better than a certain chain based island carvery establishment!

Lovely, traditional gormet pub. Oak beamed homely decor, freindly and efficient staff. Food is very tasty. Bookinis essential for this budy pub. Recommend

Only giving a 3 and thats my adverage. First time we went they were amazing. Good food. Friendly. Helpful. Good maze and play park. Dog friendly.
So we made a point of going again.

Also asked if they could make 2 of thier kids meals combined into a mix to make 1 child meal. They said yes, but then charged for nearly both meals and presented my 3year old with nearly 2 dinners only missing chips and peas. Id rather they said no as id have just picked one but i was trying to make a healthier option that my child would eat.
When i said all this the the waitress i did get a "sorry" but it wasnt welcomed feedback so im really dissappointed as its not the experiance we had last time. Real shame.

No toast with a ten pound breakfast. Bar staff rude and apparently the boss dosent care. Need to improve there social skills. To be fair there roast on a Friday are well worth the price but customer laison is very poor.

Beautifully cooked Roast Carvery.We are Sunday regulars and my wife also takes her friends to the ones during the week.Great taste, good portions, friendly staff even the chef! And great value.

The food was very good and it was popular with folk. The property looks like it needs a facelift and there was a huge cobweb in the corner of the window.

We went in today for the Carvery. Very enjoyable experience. There is a maze in the garden and a play area for kids.

The Carvery was tasty, but the beef was a touch overdone and the cauliflower cheese was very sloppy and underdone. The Chef serving the meats clearly didn't want to be there and in my opinion should stay in the kitchen if he is unable to exercise a modicum of customer service.

Those small things aside we had a lovely lunch and really enjoyed our time there.

food gone downhill last few months we have had a lot better in the past we live local but don't recommend there are better eating houses in godshill/shanklin

Very family friendly pub. Good food. Awesome garden. Would have been even better if they had lights out in the main garden so kids could play for longer. Little one was uncomfortable going out in the dark to play so had to come back in after dinner. Staff very attentive, and helpful

Enjoyable place to dine. Good food and a nice little maze out back. With outdoor dining.

The place is a toilet. In fact the public toilets opposite are more welcoming.
If you're undecided about where to go, don't try this place. Don't even think about it. The food is disgusting, the beer tastes like the river bed and the staff couldn't care if you lived or died. The place itself inside is filthy and sticky dirty. I wouldn't kennel my dog here and I hate her.
Stay away, folks. Stay away in your thousands.
Here's hoping it shuts down soon.

Food has definitely improved in recent years. Been here twice in the last few months and both times thoroughly enjoyed it.

4 of us went for a Christmas meal, service quick and friendly, the food was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. Lovely setting, enjoyable evening.

Food poor, too much use of microwave. Staff did not respond to customers requests or complaints other than to return food to kitchen. Welcome response from staff very poor.
