The hotel, located in the very center of Dublin, is magnificent. A few steps from "The Spine", close to the Henry Street shopping street and just in front of the shuttle bus stop which takes you to the airport.
We took advantage of a "dream offer" from Booking and we had a very small, but very cozy room. The bathroom with bathtub contained body and hair products. The international breakfast consists of various hot and cold buffets, fruit and several types of bread. The staff are very pleasant.
Remember to take an adapter for UK sockets, the rooms have only one connection point with EU sockets.
Little more: the deposit allowed us to enjoy our last day of travel without having to worry about our luggage.

Disliked: The hotel is still quite noisy. From our room (328), we could hear loudly the people speaking in the corridor. On the 2nd day, the hotel organized a company evening. The noise was terrible, we could hear the words of the songs that were being broadcast. We called reception who announced that the party would last until 2am. Impossible for us to sleep in there, so we were rehoused in the middle of the night in another magnificent room, dedicated to PRM (large room and Italian shower) but very quiet.
Another tiny minus: Television, although connected to the Internet, did not allow you to go to Netflix.
I also regret that the first bedroom did not have an electrical outlet near the bed but only on the desk.

Booked for my partner surprise birthday and so glad I booked this hotel. Very clean, staff are friendly, bed comfortable and also it's great to have a lot of security around so feels very safe. Would definitely recommend and if I ever come back to Dublin I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The location is the best and the staff is the kindest ever but our room had an old carpet that smelled horrors and the air conditioned machine very noisy as well as the noise coming from the machines in the backyard of the hotel. It was cold and the central heating was swittched off. End October 2018.

Elegant and enchanting hotel in O Connell Street, right in the city centre, Dublin. During these Covid 19 times the Toddys Restaurant was closed so my friend & I had sandwiches and dessert with tea & 2 coffee's in the main hotel front room. It was elegantly presented with a small dressed salad and potato crisps on the side. For dessert we had apple pie with ice cream, dressed with a strawberry and blueberries and a sweet nutty dressing. The food and drinks were excellent. The bill came to 52 euro.
The ambience is relaxed, with modern classic comfortable seating on sumptuous couches and seats. The high ceilings, hung with chandeliers plus huge panel windows dressed in elegant and full length curtains, makes for a fabulous place to relax and dine or chat with friends. A full meal can be had from their extensive menu. The staff are incredibly professional and a joy to be served by. They have that lovely discreet air about them as they look after you, and have that rare combination of friendliness and charm that makes a visit to the hotel the reason people return again & again. Fabulous place! You do Dublin proud!

They have AC! I know most might not find that useful but we visited Ireland during an especially hot week and were dying at the other hotels we stayed at. It was a nice relief. The hotel was nice and spacious, and in a great location near all the shopping in northern Dublin.

The only bad thing about this place was that the bed was tiny. Like a double bed, smaller than a queen. They advertise a king but I don't think the room layouts allow for a king. Kind of a disappointment.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast and with a complimentary gym. On the other hand, if you come in late (around midnight) you get stopped at the door by a bouncer and asked for your room number before you're even let into the lobby, this gets tiring after a couple of nights.

The Gresham is a very grand hotel in a great location right in the heart of Dublin. The room I stayed in felt a little dated especially the bathroom and I was none to keen on the hotels policy of requiring guests to request their rooms being cleaned.

My husband booked a standard double room for 1 night and when we arrived it was nothing like the photos on the website. Tiny room that was just average. The air conditioning units must have been outside or window as they were going the whole night. Fire alarm went off at just after 2 in the morning and despite going into the corridor a few times there was no direction from staff at any time. We made our way down into the lobby where other guests told us it was a false alarm, not 1 member of staff addressed us or reassured us everything was OK. The only thing we heard from them was a typed note pushed under the door the next morning. Breakfast was good and I do appreciate the wearing of masks in the room was essential . Good location but wouldn't stay again!

Wonderful hotel, great service, went on the eve of Christmas Eve and had a pleasant surprise that we were upgraded to the lavery wing, clean and comfortable rooms at a great price, would strongly recommend.

Lovely hotel with modern room in the college wing. Dinner was reasonably priced and staff were lovely. Service was a little slow though which is unfortunate in both Toddys and Writer's Lounge. Busy enough so possibly excusable...

Well what can I say about this place...the rooms are extremely small and yet the bathroom was large. The inner rooms have a horrible view of just trash, the building's roof below and of other rooms. The location however is desirable. Close to shopping, close to tourist attractions and dinning. The restaurant they have Tody's ( I think that's how you spell it) is not that great of food. The breakfast they have in the morning is actually very tasty and they offer gluten free options. I would recommend this place. Even though the room was small it was clean. I even walked in when our room was being turned down and the attendant was extremely nice. Filled our request and you can absolutely smell and see she cleaned the toilet which most places don't do until after you check out.

This is an excellent hotel, with a high standard and very friendly staff. It's a few minutes walk north of the city centre, but during my stay in Dublin, I didn't see any hotel I would rather stay at. The breakfast is great, and our dinner at the hotel restaurant was very nice, too. I'd be happy to stay at this hotel again if I come back to Dublin.

Very nice staff, rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Good location, in front of luas tram and also express bus to airport and Dublin hop on hop off bus. Temple Bar is very close walking, less than 15 minutes.

The hotel is very well located, cleanliness is good but the bed is very small even though my husband and I requested a King size bed.
The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired .
Bad quality and poorly made.

I had a very disappointing encounter with the staff in the hotel. A mix up in reservation and despite trying to discuss with reception and duty manager their response was one of the worst customer care experience I have had in years. I actually left as I could not stay there had to find an alternative accommodation in Dublin. Shocking.

Expensive but more like the old Gresham. Friendly, clean, professional but fussy. The way a good hotel should be. The staff are great and friendly but slightly formal which was the same as it was. Hate the corporate name. It is and needs no more name than its own

Located right in the center of Dublin in walking distance of anything you need. The room was very clean with the standard amenities. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options and the customer service was excellent.

I have stayed in Dublin many times and this was our first time at the Gresham , and it will be our last . The hotel give a grand clean and inviting entrance, receptionist were quick and efficient at checking us in , that is once we got past the mask police, they force you to wear this mask when you are up from a seat in any public area s. Not in any correspondence from hotel does it say about masks on entering, only when at buffet for breakfast , thankfully I had packed some just in case, we walked through the door after being out for dinner, and were looking them out of my bag, when the concierge was straight over saying he would hassle us about the mask as we had to wear it . The rooms are clean but very dated. We left hotel for dinner and came back for a couple of drinks before bed, we waited one hour to be served, you cannot order at bar which is fine but they should have enough floor staff on to take orders , they didn t , we asked 3 times to be told in a minute, they never took an order we ended up going to bed without a drink. Myself and my partner were on the 5th floor the people in the room next to us partied until 2.20am, then they fought , I rang down to reception twice with no answer despite be told the reception was 24 hours. I did complain to manager the next morning but got the usual we are sorry , they said they didn t think it would be as busy , surely they knew how many guests were checking in? Breakfast in hotel was fine , we also had bar snacks which were fine and reasonably priced . As I say this was just an ok stay , would I recommend to a friend , probably not.

Excellent welcome and professional staff at reception. We were early and very lucky to get a room which was prepared. Thank you!! Everything was in order and we were very happy and reassured to see all customers and staff keeping their distance, and wearing masks. Breakfast is wonderful. Atmosphere in hotel is calm and orderly. Only problem was the very narrow double bed!!! Very uncomfortable and got disturbed sleep on our first night. Second night was a bit better. You get what you pay for, I suppose. The room is described as 'standard double' and I have not slept in such a narrow bed ever. Should have upgraded had we known. I will return to Gresham, and have stayed here on many occasions. I will upgrade next time. Thanks to all staff for taking all the necessary precautions to help us all feel safe .

Have used this hotel for food and meetings over the years, recently renovated I made a visit to see the renovation and purchase food from bar. As it was raining I choose to use bathroom to freshen up before I ordered food. Immediately after walking out of bar I was accosted by a security guard and immediately felt intimidated. The person assumed I was only using toilet and asked me to leave. I felt so intimidated. I spoke to the duty manager and explained that I intended on purchasing food and needed to use bathroom first. I was told I should have said this to security but I felt so intimidated it was difficult. I asked to speak to general manager and when not available left.
I have never experienced this level of intimidation and vulnerability in a hotel in my life. I shall be keeping clear and advise others to be careful here.

Reception team very friendly and efficient. Room very obviously In pre-renovation state, little disappointing, all very clean!
Bar off reception, staff very good, maybe could have had 1 extra head.
Breakfast area very good, great variety. Maybe hot food a little cold, but taste nice.
All above should be taken as constructive. Thanks
