Very mediocre hotel for the price paid. Front of house staff very disinterested. Will not return. To include breakfast in the price which we could not take as leaving early, and then provide a cereal/yogurt pot plus an apple is a bit much to say the least.

Rude staff, poor service. Booked a number of rooms for my 21st Birthday to find out one room has been cancelled so half the family can t stay. The hotel were rude and very unhelpful on the phone. I was told there was nothing they can do. The rooms have been booked for months. Would not recommend. They do not look after there customers and only care about money.

I'm only reviewing the Gresham Hotel on the basis that I was here for the Vintage kilo sale a few days ago. due to this I wasn't actually staying in the hotel and I didn't experience everything that a guest here would experience but from what my parents have told me and what they feel about this establishment it isn't what it wants was.

The rooms and accommodation have become dated and the Gresham Hotel has gone from one of the the most premium hotels in Dublin to an average enough hotel.
it goes without saying that work has to be done to get it back up to the standard that it was once asked and I feel it's reputation has taken a knock over the last few years with the lack of development and care that is gone into the hotel.

It's a shame for me to give a three star rating to what was one of the best hotels in Dublin but that is life in the present and I can only base it off what it is in its current state

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, courteous and professional staff. Breakfast very varied, we found a single problem with the power of the flush, to be improved. However, a very positive experience.

Important hotel in Dublin even if it shows some signs of old age (wooden doors not in good condition, lights not really illuminating and other small details not really exciting for the category).

2nd Sunday night stay in Gresham as early morning hospital appointment. Great room on both occasions. Breakfast started at 06:45 and we went to it at 06:55. Cooked breakfast was just about warm last week but todays was inedible. I returned it and and told them it was cold. They returned it to me microwaved, refused it as I don't like microwaved food. On checkout I complained to receptionist as she asked how our stay was, response back "sorry about that" and head back down to her computer.
Will stay again next Sunday but without breakfast as location is so ideal.

A very nice hotel with very friendly staff. The twin room we had was more than enough for my colleague and I, with large single beds and a good sized bathroom. Some of th decorations are a little dated now, but overall the hotel was very nicely done out. The breakfast was good, with a good spread of hot and cold options. The location is great, right in the middle of Dublin City centre.

Had lunch there today- I had leek and potato soup which I found lacked flavour and substance. For main I had a steak baguette which was completely cold after about 3 minutes - I can't say if plate was hot on serving or not! Food was positively awful and overpriced at 18 plus 8 for the soup. Service staff were good but I expected decent food in such an acclaimed establishment . I paid and left and I will not be back.

Excellent hotel in a great Dublin city centre location. Close to the shops and the attractions we loved it as we could go everywhere on foot. There is a luas stop nearby and great bus links outside the door of the hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of variety, we will definitely be back.

At least on a business need I get the opportunity ...

At least on a business need I get the opportunity to travel a lot, Gresham was my home away from home for about 3 months when I was on deputation in Dublin in 2015.
My only problem with the European hospitality industry is that its way too different from the rest of the world. In a four star hotel like Gresham (that also with a corporate tie up), there is nothing extra service or gesture that you get.
Every time when I arrived here (or during checkout) there were not a single Hotel Porter, once when I asked explicitly the answer was a "rude" no. The housekeeping staffs are very rude here, I remember when I asked for an extra adapter plug housekeeping informed me that only one is allowed per guest , very rudely. There were instance where house keeping use to literally command me with a finger on lips gesture when I was passing through corridor while answering a call on my cell phone.
In a corporate tie up front desk officer once asked me for the security deposit, and when I informed him that I have not carried that much of cash in hand, he denied check in.
Well there are much other foul stories that I can write but there are definitely some positive side of this hotel. The proximity to the main town, temple bar and easy accessibility to LUAS, taxis and buses and even DART is just 10 minutes away.
The best part I like here is the breakfast spread.
I am not sure when I will get next chance to come to Dublin, but I would seriously not prefer staying here.

strategic and convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff but... small changes could be made. For example- toilet flush. For example- door to the room has such big gaps that from your bed you can follow conversations of people passing by. And last thing- usually any get away should be a positive experience. we get away from our routine and every day, from things we know. to experience new and in a way better standard. Well, someone from the reception did turn on at night a fire alarm in my room. In rooms of few other guests too. you cannot imagine how loud and sharp noise it is. Mistakes can happen, but 3 times??? I did end up walking into the business meetings tired. Great get away.

Nice hotel in a good location. We had a clean and comfortable room with a view of O'Connell St. Breakfast was ok. Would stay again and if you're coming from the airport, the #700 aircoach stops right outside the front door.

Hotel in the city center, no attitude to customers ... We had a room overlooking the wall of the opposite building ... The hotel itself may have been modern and cool in the past, long ago, now obsolete and the atmosphere is not pleasant. The location of the hotel is the only one that was good throughout this event. There was no parking lot, there was a need to put the car in the public parking lot and pay separately for it ... There is no coffee machine or even kettles in the room to make coffee. Towels were but bathrobes and slippers had forgotten to put in the room. Everywhere the feeling is that the hotel has experienced better times, but it has been many years ago ...

Beautiful hotel which offers a warm welcome. This hotel has been a significant historical witness to Ireland's changing identity for over a century and merits a visit to soak up the rich atmosphere it offers. I look forward to my next visit.

After 12 days and 90 a day with buffet breakfast, I have to say that the hotel is very well located, both for places to see on foot and for buses at the door that take you directly to the airport or to places of interest, the Staff is VERY friendly and there are many Spanish and Latin working there, which makes the stay closer, especially a bellboy named David, super attentive and professional. For a 4-star, the hotel itself needs an update in terms of the rooms and although the amount of breakfast was more than sufficient it lacked some quality. With all said, I would repeat without a doubt

Nice rooms, mostly helpful staff and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Note the hotel is situated on a main street and the noise carries into the room, which made it difficult/impossible to sleep. When moved at 3am due to the noise, the new room had an issue with the air conditioning staying, resulting in an extremely warm and uncomfortable night.

The noise complaint was dismissed by the manager as typical of a centrally located hotel. It was also implied that the air conditioning problem in the new room was down to an inability to operate the controls rather than an issue with the unit itself, even though we had managed to use system perfectly well in the first room.

I can understand that a certain amount of noise is to be expected but this was well above a reasonable level. This combined with the condensending attitude of the manager tainted an otherwise pleasant stay in Dublin.

Great hotel! Room neat and clean. Although not quite as modern decor. Unfortunately, the view was not so nice (backyard to the ventilation systems). Hotel is super central. Two minutes to "The Spire" and maybe five to ten minutes to the Temple Bar.
Breakfast was great and there was always enough of everything. It never came to traffic jams and it was refilled at any time. The food was very tasty!
If you feel like in the evening you could sit at one of many bars, all of which were very nicely decorated.
I would go back and recommend it anytime!

Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel is anything but intoxicating. I booked a room for 2 people and received a confirmation for this booking. Then I booked our flights. Now the booking has been canceled from the hotel and we are sitting on the flights but have no accommodation. Without booking the hotel I would not have booked the flights at all and Dublin would have gotten out of the planning.
