Mostly ok, service, accommodations, location, but nothing great and a couple disappointments. First, requested and pre paid for a room with AC. AC was installed but not "commissioned " during our stay. Offered us a fan but due to warm weather in Dublin our room remained a constant 78/25.6. Had the added pleasure of listening to gulls squawking throughout the night. Shower made alarming noises if not set just right, and cheesecake off room service menu was nasty, but pizza and chicken club were quite good. All up this was a 3 star compared yo all I've stayed in, but a 1.5 star against our expectations for a 4 star hotel.
Very good hotel located in the main avenue of Dublin, and therefore, in the artistic, cultural and commercial center being able to move around everywhere. Breakfast, free buffet as the Spanish very good, abundant and varied. The spacious and comfortable rooms, especially the bed and especially the very soft and fluffy mattress. The hotel staff, both the rooms and reception and other services, extraordinarily attentive and professional, especially the Spanish, both in the breakfast room and reception.
Only the bathrooms would have to be improved and modernized. I highly recommend it
This place is fab. Its lovely for a cozy coffee with a friend. The staff are fantastic! The only thing is the food and drinks are ridiculously over priced here and definitely just too high for teas and coffees.
The rooms have everything you could need they are pristine. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The food is all beautiful with a wide variety of choice. For the amount you pay it is amazing cannot fault it, most defiantly will be back.
Great, elegant city hotel in a central location, right next to public transport stops. Ideally suited for a city tour. All major sights within walking distance.
We had a family suite. Was well equipped according to the category. Was traditionally furnished, but didn't look old. Nevertheless, especially the shower could do with a redesign as it was very cramped.
We slept very well.
Reception staff was very friendly. At the breakfast buffet everything was self-service. A concierge showed you to the table.
Breakfast buffet was good and according to the standard. Unfortunately no freshly made egg dishes. Unfortunately, this problem already applies to many good houses.
Nice place. Large, clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast.
Great location and with a divine breakfast. Weak point is the heating of the bathroom.
This place was very grand yet centrally located. Great staff also.
Rua Plaza, The Gresham, Dublin 1, which is on Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin 1. It is rated as a four star hotel.
The reception area is bright, clean and inviting. I came into reception and it took them a good while to check me in and I then went to my room and it was just dreadful so I went back down to reception to ask them could they change my room immediately. The first room was tiny not even a view which was unacceptable in my opinion concerning the money you were paying for it. The upgrade room overlooked O'Connell Street. It was medium sized. Overhead heater on the ceiling. Bathroom was spotless and the shower was amazing.
I ordered a pint of Guinness which was 6.00 which I think is crazy. I had a small portion of chips which was 5,80 which I think is also crazy. I ordered ice and a wine glass to my bedroom which never came I m still waiting. Staff not friendly, I had to call them again and finally my ice came after 20 mins.
My colleague arrived and we went down to Teddy's Bar and we tried the Olives for 6 and Nachos and chips for 6. My colleague stated the nachos were fresh and we enjoyed them but the Olives were swimming in salt and unedable. The staff in Teddy's were nice and polite.
What surprised me was the charge to park your vehicle overnight it was a heafty 17 per night. The Fitness room was very good.
The breakfast was between 7am and 11am on weekends. You had a good selection of hot and cold. No porridge if you are a lover of it! The room was warm though so we ate our breakfast quickly.
If we had been upgraded we would have giving this hotel a 1 star
Lunch is a disappointment. Service ok but staff seem used to complaints and some what dismissive
Central location on Upper O'Connel street, you are already in the center when you step out the door.
Great hotel, absolutely centrally located so that you can reach many places on foot.
Brilliant Great staff Spotless room. VERY good position in the middle of things. AND the bar next door had live music
Excellent location in a good location for visiting Dublin
Lovely large room and a great nights sleep before the Dublin Marathon. Breakfast put on early for runners which is a nice touch. Sadly no effort made to allow guests who have checked out to return for a shower after the Marathon, which would be a nice touch, even for an additional fee
Excellent location, great hotel with beautiful facilities , nice staff and great services
We stayed at the Gresham Dublin twice in two weeks and had a wonderful time. The staff were all great. We would like to say a special thanks to Debrocah at reception for her friendly great service. Ghena our bell boy went above and beyond with great service.
Lovely hotel in an amazing location. Good clean rooms, great staff
As always great, a star deduction because of the price. But it's almost normal in Dublin. The hotel is located in the middle of the city. The shopping mile is immediately around the corner. Good starting point
I stayed here for two nights with my girlfriend when we went to Dublin. The location was awesome, it was a 5-minute walk to all the shops and about a 10-minute walk to Temple Bar where the pubs are. It was an outstanding hotel in the centre of Dublin with lovely staff that greeted us with a friendly smile and efficient check-in. Rooms were nice, buffet breakfast was amazing, I would certainly recommend staying here if you have the option.
Toddy's Bar is a nice location for some pints and a chat with friends with little background noise
We had a fantastic time here. Did not have a negative thing to say about our stay.
Really nice staff and got a bump to a suite for free. Always ask!
One of the most spectacular hotels I have been to in all of Europe and Spain. You can see the touch of our land. The location was really amazing, right across the literal center.
Breakfast was super good, they had absolutely everything! Even a machine that made pancakes at the time.
The decoration was original.
The rooms (with details of chocolates and water) are very spacious and clean.
Air conditioning either doesnt work or works poorly, 18.00 euros to park vehicle
Fantastic hotel, great location for exploring Dublin
Best location. Amazing building. Renewed hotel. Nice buffet.
The camp is perferfekt. Within a few minutes you can reach the bus or tram. The airport shuttle also stops in front of the hotel.
The rooms are rather old and therefore not so modern.
Very pleasant room with a great central location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Just popped in for an afternoon coffee, staff very friendly.
Paid for a double room and were given a single room with no apology...we had paid 4 months in advance...very disappointed with room and management
Really friendly staff and the bar staff are realy courteous towards any customer. Really nice atmosphere throughout this place from the moment you walk in till the time you leave. Would recommend this place to anyone who hasnt been
Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice rooms. Great breakfast buffet included. Perfect location right on O'Connell Street.
Central and reasonable prices, given the history and location.
We spent two nights here over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day nights. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The doorman helped us get our luggage to our rooms. Our rooms had a great shower. The lobby is absolutely beautiful and the continental breakfast was really good and has many, many options. If we return to Dublin, we'll definitely be staying here again!
The hotel has been updated with new fittings, paint, furniture. The staff were helpful and thr meal was first class. It's right in the middle of O'Connell Street very close to all amenities.
Grand old but updated hotel with gorgeous Waterford Chandeliers in Lobby.
Rooms were very small and uncomfortable, cleaning service needs to improve. Breakfast is ok. Was able to provide a cold late night sandwich whenever all nearby restaurants were cold. The least it could be was a HOT sand which.
NOT worth the $$$$$ more like $$ maybe $$$ if you want to pay for beautiful lobby and restaurant area.
Just as you'd expect out of any good hotel, nothing extraordinary that stands out, experience was pretty pleasant.
A historic building right in the heart of Dublin 1.
Lovely hotel great interior designs great food great staff.
Nice room, staff were lovely, room price ok for Dublin. Bar a little expensive.
Great pint of Guinness in beautiful lounge away from the madness...
The staff where really friendly the hotel was super nice and clean and my hotel room was immaculate. Hope to go back again.
Great place in Dublin. The location is very central and you can walk to many sights. Bus and train stations are in the immediate vicinity, some in front of the hotel.
The hotel and its facilities are very dignified and well-kept. Our room was small but functional. Very good beds. Clean bathroom. Coffee and tea to prepare yourself always in stock.
Ideal place for a short trip to Dublin, but rooms are not exactly cheap, but location and comfort have their price.
What a nice hotel. Employees are friendly and courteous. Spacious and clean room. The free breakfast was amazing. Close to Trinity College, Whiskey Museum, Guinness Storehouse and the Spire.
Nice but already worn hotel. Breakfast a 4 * not fair.
Fantastic hotel. Rooms well appointed and comfortable. Service and staff excellent
Fantastic hotel Historic palace renovated with great taste while preserving its historical value while its gardens
Amazing experience. Got a fab upgrade to the Elizabeth Taylor suite by the lovely girl at reception. Couldnt recommended highly enough the service was exceptional.
Hotel well located, just minutes from the main places to visit.
