Ate brunch today at the Grapevine. Haven't been there since last year but have been coming to the island since 2001 so by now I've eaten at most spots. This was the BEST Denver (western) omelet ever! Absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Brought home a scone for later. Thanks Irazul and Fabian for taking such good care of me!

First time here. Was recommended by guy at Blue Marlin yesterday. Impressed with service and friendliness of staff. Excellent food. Will be back during my stay on island.

Always excellent service and great food. Tuna is spectacular. I don't miss Rovans any more.

My family recently visited South Padre Island for vacation, and we found The Grapevine Cafe online with very positive reviews. For anyone who is not a local, they are not set up to be a stand alone coffee shop. Although the workers were very friendly and helpful, they did not understand my request for a cafe au lait, which is a simple custom drink most other coffee shops could accommodate. They also did not have a garbage can in the lobby for trash, so I had to carry my straw wrappers with me to throw away in my hotel room. I found my cafe latte to be average, but my family members seemed to enjoy their flavored lattes, such as the vanilla bean variety.

We did not have a chance to sample any food, yet they had a number of interesting products in their cooler, including goat milk smoothies, bottled juice, and desserts. The reviews to me seem a little exaggerated when it comes to the quality of their coffee operation. I would not return, but I'm sure other people might enjoy this establishment.

Great breakfast and/or brunch place! Their lattes and various coffee offerings are worth looking into. Manager was accommodating and sensitive to our request to rush our order when we explained that we were trying to catch a fishing charter.

The coffee is amazing! Service was great, we just came for coffee and they were still very attentive!
I had a soy latte, perfect consistency and taste was great. Daughter had a Carmel Frappe and said way better than the chain coffee places. Hubby had the cold brew made with the Native Island Blend they have and...WOW! I was a bit jealous I didn't get it.

Great food and great experience. The wait staff is awesome and very friendly even for large groups. The coffee is very good and they have fruit smoothies that can be made to ur liking. I had a veggie white omelette with locally grown goat cheese from Thompson farms. 1 of my favorite places to come eat in the island

Nice place where we will return. We had a very friendly manager who gave great advice on local activities. They had great iced tea. The omlete with goat cheese and veggies was ausome. The breakfast omlete was great, especially the homemade tortilla. Great breakfast, great service, GREAT place.

The food was great and servers were awesome but the management of this place is bad, to the owner.. you're lucky because if it wasn't for the food this place would be a failure all due to the manager

Awsome food great service. 1st time there and the coffee was also amazing. Definitely gave me some ideas for food making at home. Left feeling satisfied and not all bloated. Noticed alot of gluten free options.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED! Great americanos, and the best breakfast we had on the island. The huevos rancheros Vallartas and the huevos rancheros Benedictos were amazing! They were busy expect a little wait but it was so worth it. Can't wait to go back.

Love coming here for breakfast when we're on the island. Usually a line depending on the time you get there. Delicious smoothies and coffees. Their breakfast burritos are huge....have yet to find anything in the menu we didn't like!

Food was very good.. price is good overall a great place.. I recommend this place.. oh and the tortillas are homemade.

Food was mediocre and they messed up our order. Plus when we went to check out, they told us their credit card machine wasn't working nor the atm. No warning before seating us. We didn't have enough cash to cover our bill and they tried to make us come back later to cover it. Nope. Very irritating. Won't be back.

The best breakfast on South Padre and the best breakfast tacos in the world! Raphael and the servers work very hard to keep everyone safe Vince took the extra time to help carry my large take out order to my car. He is the best!!

Geno boss does a great job in running the cafe along w the care and maintanace. The food is really good, the wait staff is reliable. We visit serveral times when we are at the beach. Much do.. Jt

We didn't order any food, but it is a nice place to get in out of the sun, get a very good cup of coffee and chill for a bit. The staff was very nice:)

Super cute place. The breakfast was great and so was the coffee. I love that they have a large selection of coffee. They just need to work on training the waitress . Other than that amazing atmosphere and great music.

Our only regret is that we only went there 2 times! Our family of 4 loved every bite from the great specialty coffees, shrimp and grits, shrimp omelet and chicken and waffles special! Service was great from Jared and manager Gino ... we were full from 9:00 a.m. to dinner/supper time. Can't wait to go back!!!

Great place. I ordered something with bacon and they got the bacon right. It was crispy and flavorful. Made my day. I've been to many restaurants where I ordered the bacon and as I consumed said bacon I had regrets. It made me feel Ill knowing that a pig was slaughtered for such a disgraceful attempt at bacon. Not this place though. The sacrifice was worth every bite.

Grapevine Cafe is the best place to eat for breakfast and lunch in South Padre! Love the lattes too! Not only is the food incredibly delicious and affordable but the atmosphere and staff are awesome! Gino is probably the best waiter I've ever had! Very personable and extremely good at his job!! Until next year!

Waited 40 minutes for a table! Then when we were seated we were told food would take another 45 minutes! We didn t get our food at the same time and it turned out to be terrible! We felt sick after our meal!

A friendly establishment that offers a wide array of menu items. Hands down the best coffee on the island. They allowed me to hang around and charge batteries for hours as I transferred data onto my computer. I appreciate their kindness and recommend The Grapevine Cafe & Coffeehouse to anyone in the area looking for a quality dining experience.

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast with my parents while on vacation in SPI. Get a lot for the price and the wait staff was great.

I had the breakfast special (Crabcakes Benedict) and they were awesome even at 12:30pm. I love eggs benedict so any resteraunt that can make these good is going to be one of my favorites. I visit SPI several times a year and this place will probably be my new breakfast spot.

Excellent food and service! We drove by and decided to give it a shot on our last day of vacation... so happy we decided to eat here! Waitress was very friendly. Highly recommend!

10/10 experience. The service was spectacular, the food was delicious and fresh. The coffee was very good. We even bought some coffee beans for our home. The owner was very humble and you can tell he runs a happy restaurant because he was running around helping the whole time. This says a lot about a restaurant when the owner is helping just as much as the rest of the team. Definitely would recommend and will be coming back.

Must stop to experience this coffee shop. The top notch customer service pours over into the atmosphere of this beautiful place. Coffee, cookies and muffins are just a part of what you find in this gem. They have indoor and outdoor seating and serve breakfast or lunch. They have gluten free cookies and breads. They roast their own beans on site and you can buy them in store or online at gvcafe.com and they will ship them. True gem of South Padre Island. Don't miss it.

I just went in for a coffee and a blueberry muffin to go, first of all I went in waited for like five to ten minutes just to get recognized ordered a coffee and blueberry muffin, I did enjoy the coffee but not the muffin that thing was cold and tasted refrigerated I will not go in there again for any kind of baked goods!!

Everything was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and food was delicious. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was the long wait time to get a table and the long wait time after ordering. But will be going again.

One of my favorite restaurants, and one of the only ones that after 6 months of living here has yet to get old. Try their wagyu akaushi beef burgers! It s so good, I skipped being vegan just for it. Or crab cakes Benedict! everything they do here is excellent and honestly way above the quality of the island

This place was very good. Food was great and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place if near by.

Great food, breakfast all day, dinner until they close. Hours are okay. No late snacks here. Wouldn't stop me from coming back. We now have our regular place to come get good food on the island.

5 stars all the way. The food is great. We had lunch there and from the service to the food was terrific. Don't leave the island without trying their fresh on site roasted coffee.

I had a taco for breakfast THIS morning and it got me sick. I have spend all afternoon in bed. And even worse I ordered an extra to-go and now I'm throwing in the trash. I went to this place beacuse of the affordable prices but now I see why that is. Thanks for killing one of my vacation days.

Today, Monday August 2nd 2020 we had a fantastic experience here for breakfast. The breakfast was so amazing. Jay our server is an amazing server and provided great hospitality service at grapevine. I had eggs and ham English muffins and potatoes and a side of biscuits and gravy along with mimosas. I will return back . Thank you.

Ordered takeout around 8:30am on a Friday. Food was ready in about 15min. Staff wore masks and gloves and were super helpful when I couldn't carry everything to my car in one trip. Coffee (housebrew) was good and strong- the way we like it. Kids' pancakes, scrambled eggs and fruit were great. The western omelet and 2 egg plate were delicious as well. Food was still hot 10min later at the condo and the staff clearly cares about food presentation and courtesy to customers. Will be eating here again next time we are at the beach!

This Cafe is just amazing. The entire staff is attentive and simply kind, specifically Gino. I never remember names but he was extremely attentive, caring and supportive of the environment as a whole. You couldn't not remember him. It is apparent that he genuinely cares about his customers and does a remarkable job.
But the food!!! Homemade biscuits and gravy was on point. Lemon Blueberry pancakes were the bomb. Coffee is delicious as well!!!
We came here 4 times in our 3 day vacation. We need more small businesses that operate at this level of awesome.

My new favorite place to eat and have excellent gourmet coffee in South Padre!!! Food was outstanding, coffee was even better!!! We got a couple cinnamon rolls for the road and they couldn't been any better...wait staff was excellent to boot!

Loved this place! Bea was excellent! Took time in the details after I asked for vegan options! She made sure my migas Mexicans were served without lard. Definitely recommend this lovely place!

I really enjoyed my breakfast experience at this joint. Awesome service, even better menu options, including their coffee. We went in a group of 7 and they were busy but not enough to affect quality of service or time with their orders coming out. Also their pancakes were really good (lemon zest, Blueberries and goat cheese) just wished it had more cheese...

Favorite place on the island! We came in for a second time and everyone there recognized us. Jared was our waiter and he was really awesome and so was everyone else! The prices and the food was excellent. We definitely recommend goin there!

Good fresh food. My Island burger with bacon was awesome. Fries could use some type of seasonings and time spent waiting for food could be a little speedier.
