Awesome breakfast at the island, great variety of food caters to travelers & locals. Danny & Freddy are the best waiters you can get.. Manager is rude when you ask that u want to be seated with specific waiter to attend.

Good place for breakfast. Prices are not too bad for the island. Food is good and properly cooked. The place is clean and the service is prompt.

Eggs Benedict Grapevine are awesome, as well as the eggs ala Mexicana with bacon. The coffee!!! Fresh grind ... excellent ... my new all time spot when here.

Very good service and food was delicious. The complimentary grapefruit (served at seating) is a nice touch. Staff was gracious enough to advise on substitute options on certain things, like confirming there's lard in the flour tortilla and beans. Breakfast tacos and the banana foster french toast was very made and would recommend.

There's parking around and the building, as well as street parking available. Might be difficult to find parking during peak season but wasn't a problem in early December.

Pros: hosts/hostess were courteous. Server tried his best yet managed to insult me.

Cons: kitchen got my order wrong not once, but twice. First they brought out a completely wrong order. Second time eggs Benedict Genovese came back not how I ordered them.

Hash browns are just a greasy mush mess. Plate didn't have much flavor.

Overrated AF.

Excellent food and great service. Had me hooked from the parking lot...fresh aromatic coffee. It did not disappoint. Kudos to our waiter Juan and his associate Chris. Excellent service and friendly too. Never left us without anything we needed. Going back for round two before leaving SPI. That good!

Great breakfast but the waiting line to be seated is horrible. 45mins-1hr waiting time every day.

We were looking for dog friendly restaurant and found this little gem. The food is amazing....I tried the crabmeat omelette and it was yummy! The coffee is very food, so good, that we bought some home with us. The staff were so nice and friendly. Will definitely be back!!

I've had coffee all over the country but this place rocks. They roast their own beans, mostly local stuff. The breakfast is amazing, service is slow but it gives you a chance to enjoy the coffee and conversation!

Very upset with the service.... walked in and put our name on waiting list but had been sat after a group that walked in after us. That table had gotten their food first and had time to eat, pay, and leave before we had even gotten our food. My husband had to wait for his food when everyone else at our table had their food! Terrible service! Only one star since the food was good....

3 years ago we came here every morning and had great food and amazing service but this time the servers could be more friendly, speed was slow and the food was sub par.

A popular local destination. Doesn't front on Padre Blvd. so it's kinda hidden.

Amazing experience! Ruben, our server, was great- friendly and helpful in suggesting dishes. The food was delicious! Ahi tuna was cooked perfectly and the hamburger was juicy and flavorful. Had to try some coffee because it smelled so tempting- it's was amazing as well! Highly recommended.

We are leaving South Padre Island, but I wanted to leave a review on this Cafe, the food was soooooooo good the pancakes were delish, the shrimp and grits were good,the crab omelet was the best I mean I can go on and on and the Mimosas was everything the service and staff was awesome we came in with a party of 7 and they did a very good job for a large party!! BEST FOR BREAKFAST IN SOUTH PADRE HANDS DOWN!!

This was the second time that we have eaten here and both times did not disappoint!! Great food, wonderful service, great atmosphere! We were a table of 7 and our waitress Kassidy was fantastic!! Our cups of coffee never went below half way.. she was very sweet and accommodating! If you want a great breakfast while you are visiting the island... this is the place! They are very accommodating with food allergies and have lots of gluten free options!!

Renovated had not been here in a while, over 3 years ago. Coffee was a little watered down needed more flavor.

Every time I go to South Padre I always stop to eat here.

I think this is one of my favorite places to eat in Texas. Absolutely loved all the brunch choices and the biscusits that come with it are AMAZING! The server knew his stuff and didn't even have to write our order down. We asked for the largest coffee possible and I don't think we were given it as he seemed a little confused when we asked if that was a large but everything else was great, the food alone is worth the trip.

Waited at the register for about 10 minutes in plain view of a worker until she finally acknowledged us. Ordered a muffin and a cinnamon roll and expected it to be freshly baked, but it looked as though it was made several days ago! The pastries I got were poorly wrapped as if in a hurry(even though they only had a limited amount of each pastry) and had several bits of crumbs coming out of the wrapping when I opened it. For the price I paid for them they could have at least warmed my pastries in a microwave or with their breathe since it appeared only one person worked there even though there were more than 5 people working. I was deceived by the reviews of this place and expected better. I could have bought muffins at Kroger for half the price and warmed them up in the microwave oven and fed my whole family.

Lot's of tasty breakfast options! And the service is great. This is one of the few restaurants anywhere that asks how well done you like your eggs... because I love mine runny!

Finally had shrimp and grits here yesterday and I must say I cannot believe I have been missing out on this DELICIOUS meal!!! It is to die for...you will not be disappointed. Try it with the salsa they serve over the huevos rancheros!!! The migas were also delicious with the homemade beans and flour tortilla. Definitely coming back here when I visit again!!!

Nice little cafe. Food is way better than the hotel buffet. Little pricey but so is everything on the island.

Grapevine no more. After five years of faithful visits once a month, I am giving up on the place. Took 23 minutes to get a to go order, they charged me the extra for avocado and my tacos had none. Last time the order was forgotten. It used to be amazing. No more.

I come here every year and always have an amazing experience. Food is usually good and fast and quick service; however, we didn t have a good experience yesterday. They weren t too too busy but they got a rush right when we sat. We ordered our sons food in first they got them immediately, but we had to ask for refills on coffee and drinks, we always had to get the servers attention and we put our order in right after and we had to wake over 30 min for our food. The biscuit was hard and wasn t too good and we had to get up for anything we needed. Was kinda disappointed

We came here later in the day and definitely will return for breakfast! Very good service and delicious food!

The food was okay. Eggs Benedict was not as delicious as I thought it was going to be, which is a disappointment because I'm an Eggs Benedict lover. But the lady who took my order was kind. And I definitely appreciate that.

Food was good but the service was lacking. Ordered a BLT that came sans both lettuce and tomato. The waitress made off with our drink and didn't return it until another server reminded her.

Advertises itself as a coffeehouse but it's really a noisy diner. It took almost 20 mins to get my coffee order. Not cheap, either. It's probably a great restaurant, but it needs to define its brand.

Service was fantastic and very professional while the menu had the lunch/brunch we needed.

Waited for over half hour to get our food. Food was delicious but not worth a long wait. Coffee was eh ... Not a coffee house. Smoothies were good. Only go back if have lots of time.

Service was a bit slow don't mind that they where very kind and friendly. Food was all very bland grits tasted like water had to get butter and salt to doctor them up don't know if your meant to do this yourself. I got the crab meat omelet most expensive omelet on the menu and did not live up to the price, once again very bland and watery. I think I just orders the wrong thing cause everyone else in my group praised their food. I'm sure the classic waffle or pancake would be awesome though, and their cinnamon rolls look godly. I would definitely try this place out just don't get an omelet.

Had a late lunch yesterday at the Grapevine cafe and the food was very good. Our server, Ana, was especially friendly and accommodating and we appreciated her great service.

Wish i had more for the service Great!!! My first time there on my anniversary . waiter was great and im the biggest critic ever. Food was fresh and plenty enuff to take home . mimosas were on the soot my waiter recomendations were all on time.. Spanish omellets were of the meters.. Could say more but u can find out... Enjoy i did an will again.. Thanks

Delicious! Totally recommend this place for a nice relaxing breakfast or lunch. The crab meat enchiladas and shrimp omelet are delicious. The vanilla bean iced coffee is perfect and their smoothies are great, too! You won't regret it!

This place was the best breakfast ive had in the rgv, I got the egg Benedict and it was the best ever, very satisfied and will definitely be there sooner than later.

Food was great, service was fast and very polite. Atmosphere was relaxing. Food was ready quickly.

So yummy! Plenty of options for breakfast which was so good and the iced coffee was delicious. Come here for coffee instead of the Starbucks at the Hilton. Trust me! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits.

Waited quite a while to be seated. It was 7:30am and no one was in front of us and only 4 tables occupied .Finally got seated--another wait to place drink orders, another long wait to place food order. We could see that other tables who had been seated before us were still waiting for drinks and service, too, and another couple had been waiting to pay. One table out of about five had their food although all of them had been seated before us. Other people walked out because they were never seated even though the place wasn't busy. This was Mother's Day, and we would have thought they'd be on their game on this of all mornings .One hour later, we walked out after no one had even checked on us to see if we needed anything, to tell us our food would be out soon, etc. Menu looks great and would have loved to try it, but service didn't reassure us . We come to the island often and won't be back to Grapevine .

The service sucked, food came out cold or mushy, had to ask for condiments.

We're back from Dallas today celebrating our 32nd anniversary and enjoying great breakfast, and great service again! Not sure where you find these great Team Members but you've been blessed! Juan who was awesome recognized us from last visit and welcomed us back offering his help and Gino, also super friendly, is helping with our order.

Had a great experience, food was like home made, wish there was a place like this in Katy, Texas, today was our first time here will be visiting here for breakfast the next 2 days we are here, there menu has so much to choose from, this place has the best home made flour tortillas, never visited a place that makes there own flour tortillas
