I've been here before the remodel. This place under went a huge transformation. It's an amazing new space. Well done and inline with other national museums I've been to. Very educational and well done.

Was excited to see the renovation, but found the museum dull and largely dependent on media instead of artifacts. Old Lewis and Clark display was much better. Trip to the top is as uncomfortable as ever except now you have to endure a media-based introduction instead of just waiting in line. The Arch is as impressive outside as always, but take a pass on the visitor center.

Awesome time with the family. Surprising amount of historical info to ecplore before heading up. It's great that you do not have a time limit once up top, plenty of time to take in the views from both sides!

Under construction right now to make it even better. Had to do a longer walk to get there than usual, buy glad the money spent is going towards improvements. Such a cool once in a lifetime experience. Closterphobic people beware. They pods that take you up are very small, but it's a pretty cool way to meet strangers. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Amazing view even thought the historic windows are very tiny... Nothing else like it.

Went to see a part of American history and the learn about the gateway to the west. Nice newly renovated museum and you can take a trip to the top of the arch. If you have an issue with VERY VERY tight spaces, the ride up and down on the tram is not for you.

Visited the new St Louis Arch Museum. FREE! What a treasure for St Louis. Be aware that all visitors will go the a TSA style screening, but when we went the line was non-existant and was no inconvenience. Its comforting knowing to know that they take our safety into account. Of all the displays, we loved the "Fly through Village St Louis" best. It is a large screen video rendering of the original St Louis settlement and you can spend an hour just watching that. Another display shows you the view from the top of the arch. I still recommend going to the top, but if you have a fear of heights and/or small spaces, this display is a great alternative (pictured).

Was the renovation wait worth it? YES. And did I say it is FREE!

The new museum is really well done. Easy to spend an hour or more exploring while waiting to ride the tram to the top. Fun for kids and adults. Even though it was cloudy at the top, it was super fun with family.

This place is awesome. Fun for the whole family. Beautiful view of the Mississippi river
You need a ticket to enter but can purchase a $3 dollar ticket and it provides entry to the Arch and gift shop and can also watch a short movie of how the Arch was built.

A bit touristy, but definitely unique. Took the ride to the top and was rewarded with a great view of St. Louis and the Mississippi. The actual ride was somewhat like a rollercoaster going inside a very tiny pod with a 4 minute ride up3 back down. Had about 10 minutes at the top for photos. If you are claustrophobic keep in mind the pods were very tiny.

The arch is beautiful! The staff is well informed and helpful when navigating to our destination. The organization getting to the top is great, clean, and well done however once at the top it was a mad house!!! The top looked to need a few small updates to match the rest of the great new museum such as new paint, carpet and crystal clear windows.

I would have given 5 star, but I didn't feel they advertised enough to ensure public know about their tram ride policy, which is based on time, so if someone just go there without advance purchase of ticket than they very well don't get to go up and wait could be few days as they sell out often.

Besides that everything else is real nice environment. Great walk around the Arch as well near river. Horse carriage ride is pretty cool. Just seating on stairs and enjoying summer evening is all worth it.

After park closes, down town is real live and full of restaurants choices, for eat and drink. I haven't seen this much live down town in long time. Highly recommend it.

It was interesting to learn about the mechanism and history behind building this monument. They have a museum you go through after a security check. And then the Tram rides and movie is in the same area as the museum. The trams themselves are so tiny, capsule like. No view until you get all the way to the top. It is a 4min ride to the top and then 3ish minute ride back down. The longest time is spent waiting for the tram. Fun overall.

From the outside: Absolutely mind blowing structure. It seems so other-worldly. From the inside: The "elevator" to the top bothered a couple people in my party of 6 due to the cramped quarters. It feels and looks bit like a caterpillar crawling up the inside of the arch 5 people per pod, 6-8 pods per "caterpillar". Worth every penny to go the top. Do it at night!

It's fun. Personally, The new museum that opened in 2018 is wonderful and riding to the top is a must...unless you're claustrophobic, since it feels like you're riding in a washing machine barrel. But, definitely worth the $13 ($9 with annual park pass).

The Arch is really amazing to look at and the museum under the Arch is very informative. The top of the Arch is very small and not that impressive. Worth the visit but not sure if the ride to the top is worth the value.

Spectacular views of the City landmarks, cool trip up in small tram cars. Tip: if you are over 6'4", be sure to sit in the sample tram car where you buy tickets, so you know if you will fit/how many can be in the car with you.

It is a sight to be seen; an engineering marvel. I went up and down this slick thing (in a tram/elevator look alike thingie) and enjoyed every moment of my visit. Street parking may amount to winning the lotto but there is a parking garage within walking distance where you can park (your vehicle) for $10/day. I picked the tram up ($14 roundtrip) but there were other attractions such as cruises and helicopter rides available as well. Overall a superb experience. Go see it for yourself!

Best to visit early morning or near sunset. New history museum is free, but to ride the tram is $13 and watch the movie of the construction is $7. The movie is well worth the cost. Opt for one of the combo packages if you want to do all 3.

Few people know that in the early 1900's there was a push for St. Louis to become our nation's capital. The arch is a perfect monument for the Gateway to the West, as well as a testament to the ingenuity and perseverance of Americans. For a remarkably low price (compared to similar destinations) you can enjoy a ride to the top and an amazing museum. We wished we had more time to spend there!

As we were making our approach to Lambert International I looked out the window and caught this wonderful view. As we were flying in from California I had no idea we had circled the city all the way to the east side. How beautiful is the St. Louis skyline and the Arch from this vantage point? What a wonderful welcome back to the midwest.

The walkway, old courthouse, and the inside of the archway was wonderful. The area is well taken care of and the tram ride to the top of the archway is definitely worth it. It is a fun memorial dedicated to the expansion of the U.S. and the massive modern architecture next to the Mississippi is a beautiful sight.

The gateway arch is definitely the crown jewel of St. Louis. It's the one thing you have to do when you're in town. Just make sure you devote at least 2 hours to the ordeal, there are several lines to stand in. Also, if you're claustrophobic, the lift ride up may not be for you. I'm only 5' 9" and was really cramped.

The arch is a must see while your in St. Louis. It is breathtaking. Unfortunately the museum was closed when I visited but the artwork inside the dome was interesting. The grounds stretch out to the river with plenty of room to let the kids and pets stretch their legs. Restaurants nearby.

The Arch is amazing. Its doesn't seem that big till you get closer to it, then the reality of just how big it is sets in. The grounds around the Arch have always been very clean and adds to the great pictures you can take.

The St. Louis Arch is our landmark. It is something everyone should experience. They have remodeled everything and it is beautiful and very educational..a history capsule! The ride to the top takes 4 minutes and 5 people sit in each tram car. It is not scary, it is almost like riding in an elevator but sitting down. They only take a certain amount of people at a time to keep crowd control and the flow moving. Once at the top it is really spectacular but a little crowded because people are coming and going and it is 17 feet wide As ling as you are patient and considerate you can get your place at a window to take in the view. Here is a couple things you should know..the entrance is in a new place, it is basically across from the old court house. There is a lot of walking and you might even consider just taking the metro link. There are a lot of stairs and there is no way to avoid them if you are riding to the top. They also have The Arch Cafe and vending machines. I suggest buying your tickets online and once you purchase them make sure you take screen shots of the entire page that shows you bought them because there is no internet at the Arch so you have to have the pictures to get in if you buy in advance or they can mail them to you. Enjoy!

The museum is full of interesting facts, not just about the arch and its construction, but the history of the area as well. Very neat, but keep in mind that the arch tram is closed down from Covid. Still a beautiful place.

Very clean and friendly. Better to order your tickets on their website so you know that you will have a reserved time and able to go up. Security was friendly but thorough like an airport. The tram up the arch was smooth and the workers took very good car of us. The view was awesome.

Excellent way to view the city of St. Louis and look over the water towards Illinois! Employees are friendly and courteous, and the system for going up the tram is smooth and well-organized. There is a cafe available if you don't have time to stop for food or coffee. Best to plan ahead and get tickets online to reduce wait time. New museum exhibits open in July so make time to check it out!

The recent renovations are fabulous! Total revamp of the entire exhibit. The ride up the arch is interesting. Once you're up there the view is amazing. The movie is fascinating. Don't miss it. If you have a senior national Park pass you can get discounts on a lot of things.

The visit to the Gateway Arch and museum is great. DO NOT BUY THE PICTURE, the service was bad. The complete package i purchased did not get my photos and I had to email the company. I still do not have all the pictures that I paid for. Overall, great place to visit and the museum is awesome for the family.

Buy tickets ahead of time if have a tight itinerary. We were unable to take the team up because it was booked and we could not wait for the next one. Museum is free and worth checking out. The grounds are beautiful.

Renovations are simply awesome! Such a dramatic & complete difference. It looks like it was intended this way from the start! Adds so much to a familiar experience. Amazing & don't wait to see it!

Very awesome experience. Haven't been here since I was six. So glad that I took the time as an adult to go back. Very accessable for strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs. Steps to fight covid are in place and enforced. Will be going back again soon.

This is going to be brief. 1. Tell people BEFORE they drive to the Arch that parking lots/decks in the area ONLY accept cash. 2. Tell people that the entrance to the Arch is not actually at the Arch but a few hundred feet away underground. Update the website with this information and you'll be doing the world a favor. Otherwise it's the Gateway Arch and it's awesome. Yes you can ride up the arch. Don't do it if you're fat and/or claustrophobic ...lol.

Reasonably priced, unique experience going in a small elevator all the way up to the top! Once you are there you can take in the views of St. Louis. There's a museum at the bottom with a lot of history about the construction. Parking can be a hassle, so be aware. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Walking along the riverside and through the park to arrive at this simple and giant structure is an incrediblely impactful experience.

Very cool and super unique. But it is very crowded at the top and the windows are TINY. The tram is also not ADA approved so anyone with a disability will have extra challenges. Buy tickets in advance if possible to avoid waiting in line

Really nice and not as expensive as expected. For $13 ($10 with the beautiful America pass) you can go to the top of the arch and have a stunning overview over the city. We did not make a reservation and had to wait only 20 minutes. But you need this time to get through the security check. Under the arch there is a museum explaining the history.

It was an amazing experience visiting this iconic American landmark. It was well organized, even when reparative construction is in progress. Plan ahead to avoid waiting pointlessly in long lines. Definitely worth checking out!
