Pretty great views in an amazing architectural achievement! Just wish the windows at the top were a bit bigger
Pretty great views in an amazing architectural achievement! Just wish the windows at the top were a bit bigger
Great experience for any family or individual. Expect tight areas and a multitude of people. Great visit, but not the small town you came from.
What a beautiful time and experience! The Gateway Arch was more than I expected and I was with a good friend helping me capture it all. It's really a must see while you are here in the city.
Had the best time the arch is so beautiful I love the museum
Hard to find the entrance to the Arch. The tram to the top is small and they pack it full of 5 people in each pod. It is jerky on the way up and hot. At the top you can feel the Arch sway in the wind, which is creepy. The museum was nice and it is pretty neat to look up at. Plan your trip, buy tickets online to avoid long lines at the ticket office.
The arch was very interesting and for sure a go to place when visiting st Louis, very peaceful, relaxing, meditating.
Worth visiting this place, a new experience traveling in a capsule to the top Arch. And amazing view from the top
I loved the park and the trip to the top of the arch. The short film was very informative. The questions part was really fun. The staff were kind and gave us clear directions of our journey to the top and safety requirements. I also liked the gift shop. My kids loved the stories. If you re visiting Saint Louis make sure to visit the Arch. The view is amazing. The prices are reasonable. The building is being updated and the new entrance will finish really soon. After our visit my kids wanted to go there again. They were talking about hope, creativity, intelligence, determination, and vision. If you have kids, make sure to take them. There are some activities at the information desk. Kids can get free badges after answering some simple questions about the arch and its history.
Definitely a fun experience and worthwhile stop. The arch is beautiful to look at and the grounds make for a great setting. The lower level museum is huge and free for anyone.
If you want to go to the top of the arch, you need to make reservations either online or at the ticket booths. Once it is your reservation time, expect to wait about 15 minutes before the "experience" begins. First is a short video followed by pictures against a green screen and then you line up to board.
Going up and down is definitely a unique experience. The capsules hold 5 people in a tight configuration. Once you are at the top, you ate able to enjoy the view for as long as you'd like. Just be warned, the space is crowded with everyone wanting to check out the view.
I would give the arch five stars but I think they could definitely use some improvement in organization. Everything else about it was great.
Wonderful experience. We could have spent hours in the museum. The tour guides are supper friendly and well informed.
This is truly a great opportunity to see for yourself. I had a blast. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was above and beyond happily amazed with my experience at the Arch. I want to do it again! All the staff were great
The view is amazing HOWEVER it was extremely over crowded. There was about 110 to 120 people roughly up there at once. You got up there to look out the window for about 5 minutes to get back in line to go down. The staff was very nice and interactive, overall it seemed to be sort of unorganized on the staffs part.
Love this new setup at the arch. It was still quite a walk to get there. Had some nice photo ops. Nice!
Always stop here when we're in STL....and now it's the amped-up-arch! Museum is definitely bigger and better! More interactive and interesting!! As always, well worth the visit!
Amazing amazing, to realize what could be constructed in the 60s, the remodeling ia amazing also.
Wow...the park around the arch was so beautiful, the arch itself was awesome too. I didn't ride to the top though but I can image the view would be absolutely amazing.
It is something you have to see at least once, if you get the chance take a ride to the top. It is very interesting, however if you get nervous in tight spaces you may not want to go to the top as the elevator is a little cramped. The views from the top are breath taking, sometimes you can feel the arch sway as you are looking out. It is worth the price of admission and you'll be able to get some great pictures from above.
Great experience and the museum itself had more going on than I expected. The pod ride to the top was pretty interesting getting to see all the stuff inside the arch. The views from the top are definitely worth the price. I wish we got to spend more time up there (only 10 mins) and be able to go up at night but that s to be expected with COVID. The whole place was really clean too! This is a must see place for St. Louis and one of the more unique attractions/historic places in America.
Througly enjoyed the park range"s tour & all the exhibits. Cannot wait for the audio enhancements to come.
The museum is well done and interactive-the kids and grownups alike really enjoyed every part of the museum/Arch tour. Thankful for the military discount. The kids also had fun earning their Junior Ranger titles & badge. Everyone at the help desks where very helpful and knowledgeable.
The arch is an engineering feat! It was awesome to go up top and see the view. Also, I would recommend the documentary if you want to hear about the construction process! It is very interesting!
Neat to see and learn how this was built. Kids enjoyed. My daughter thought it was so cool. After reading Percy Jackson she wanted to visit the Arch. Lol!
The arch is beautiful, the crowd control is well done, the museum is very nice, and they have some nice souvenirs and food and drinks in the waiting area for purchase. Unless you are the first person in the morning, prepare for a wait or buy tickets ahead of time.
A Saturday at the end ofJuly, we arrived at the ticket counter to purchase tram only tickets. These are no longer straight to the tram, as they once were, there is a goofy movie and some tour guide speech. The ride up to the to the top feels like an off-kilter carnival ride but once you reach the top, the view is amazing and a due to the number of people, a bit claustrophobia inducing.
We got some really cool pictures and the ride down was quicker and easier than the ride up.
Expect a 1 to 3 hour wait from the time you purchase tickets, but it is well worth the time and effort.
What an experience! The structure itself is massive and stunning. We didn t go inside but it s worth looking out from the outside.
Very nice park and museum. Definitely worth visiting.
The gateway arch is a unique and fun experience. If you're scared of heights or small spaces thought I would skip the inside part. The elevator to the top is quite confined and the view from the top is beautiful but could be scary if you're not great with heights. Overall we had a wonderful experience. We went at sunset and the view was unbelievablely beautiful. This is definitely a bucket list event and it was worthwhile. Also it's very reasonable priced.
Phenomenal monument and testament to the nation's history. The Arch grounds are very well maintained and extend over a large area. There are plenty of affordable parking options nearby.
Fun time, interesting history lesson with great views!
Beautiful and unique in the world. Worth taking a trip to the top for the experience of riding in the wonkavator. Hard to convey the grandeur of standing at the bottom of the Arch and looking up!
Great museum below the arch. Buy your tickets ahead of time online. Very well organized.
Truly an amazing experience! Suggest overcoming any fears of heights that you may have and go up to the top! My son and I did and we don t regret it one bit. As you head to the loading area to go to the top you will pass through a display of history. We enjoyed this as much as viewing from the top of the arch.
Nice views of st. Louis city and mississippi river. Ride up was cramped but otherwise great experience
First time inside the arch and everything was well organized and the view is spectacular you should make sure that you go inside the gift store before you exit if not you have to go through the entire security line again
What a beautiful "thing" (is it a sculpture or a building or...). I was absentmindedly driving into St Louis around sunset and up pops this arch and I thought to myself "whoa that is cool". I also dangerously took a photo from my moving vehicle but stopping and actually going into it was way smarter.
Price for the tram seems really affordable compared to other similar attractions. View from the top of a clear night at sunset was phenomenal. Ranger at the top was talking about how crazy it gets when lightning hits the arch and you're in the top part. Lucky you if you get to experience it.
There's a nice museum with gobs of exhibits I couldn't get to in the half hour before they closed. Might want to get there before 445 :)
Grounds are very nice with interpretative signs in a beautiful spot along the river. Safe at night
Highly recommended
I made it.... What an amazing engineering feat.... So beautiful is the finished design and labor
Absolutely gorgeous! Pictures cannot due justice to the magnificence of seeing this in person.
It's very cool. Has a large type of history museum. Nice gift shop, little place to eat. Also has excellent views at the top of the arch.
Arranging the Tram inside The Gateway Arch is awesome. View from 640 feet top is beautiful
they did were not selling peanuts at the visitor shop! i wouldnt go again because of that ignorance
Went on a Monday morning. No lines. Tram ride fine for a claustrophobic person. Great 30 mile view. Guide for video spoke too fast and low. Rangers at top looked sad to be there.
Had a great experience and was clean and professional staff. The time spent here is worth it the ride to the top was closed but that's expected during COVID. The staff cleaned and sanitized everything felt safe
Big & beautiful. We've got to take the tram to the top some day, as soon as wife gets over her fear of heights.
Great unique St Louis experience. Lesser known excellent museum in the base. Half a day.
New museum was amazing , ride to the top is always a treat.
I enjoyed the arch and the museum. The city itself was not enjoyable at all.
Whether you are local or a visitor, it is worth the parking stress to go to the Arch. (Fireworks are incredible here - if you happen to be around on the 4th of July, it's an amazing place to watch them.)
The elevator ride can be a little unsettling, but it's so worth it to take the jolting ride up to the top of the Arch; the view from the top is incredible!!! On a very windy day, you can actually feel the arch sway - quite an interesting sensation.
There's a great visitor's center below the Arch, as well, where you can learn about the construction and history.
The Gateway Arch, is one of those iconic American treasures that every American should visit. The 630 ft Arch was built in the 1960's as a memorial to western expansion.
You can ride to the top and see the city. Adult tickets are $13.00 and child are $10.00. You ride to the top in these little farris wheel carts, the are quite cramped.
This place is amizing! Wouldn't recommend to someone who is afraid of heights though. Over all it is amazing. It's a little bit of a walk from parking but it's definitely worth it. I'd recommend researching the times there are tours (meaning learning about the arch history and going up in it. The elevators are a little cramped but it is still okay. Here are some veiws of the arch
This is an amazing architectural structure. It is 630 feet high. You can take great photos during sunset. There is a museum under it. You can learn more about the history of the arch. It is very nice museum. There are many things to see. However, I don t recommend to buy a ticket and go to top. Especially during busy times, you may wait more than 30 minutes to get in the train to go to top. Also, there is nothing to see on the top. There are small windows and it is hard to get a good picture. So save your money and just take photos from the outside of the arch :)
It is educational and inspiring to see such a magnificent structure in our country. A must see!
Reasonable price, the new museum underground is well done- informative and interesting. The trip up to the top of the arch and the views are very unique. Catch the film if you have time as well, extra money but well worth it- amazing to see how the Arch was made!
Was a beautiful experience. The 3rd picture is the shadow in the sky
Cool place to visit, even if it did make my acrophobia flare up just looking up at it. The history museum below the arch is excellent. They also have a small cafe that serves a pretty decent burger.
Been here many times but not since the exhibits have been done. Very nice.
Love the redesigned grounds. Truly amazing to take the tour. Make sure to take the ride to the top with someone you love, I did
I always very much enjoy going to the st.louis arch! They are under construction right now so you can still go up in the arch and do the gift shop which is huge but you can't see the other attractions there until this summer.
A Treasure of Missouri! Great place to learn about the history of the state as well as fawning over the amazing view from the top!
Very nice place. It was very clean wherever you looked. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. You have to get your stuff checked and go through a metal detector, but they were able to get us all through very quickly. The tour to the top of the arch was very nice, with our lovely guides. The pods to go the top were fairly small, but not too claustrophobic, and we got up there in around 4 minutes. It was a beautiful view of course.
Please take the time and get to the top of the Arch to witness the marvels of American ingenuity. The view and the ride to the top are worth the price of admission and the time it takes to wait in line. But get a pamphlet, talk to someone from another state, watch the videos and soak in the wonder of this architectural feat. The little pods can be a little claustrophobic but just keep breathing and try to imagine the thousands of kids that have felt like astronauts rising to the top of the arch about to embark on their moonwalk over St. Louis!
Booking tickets online in advance is easy and recommended. If you're claustrophobic, beware the tram to the top. The cars are 4' tall, and they put 5 people in a car. The way up takes about 4 min, and is rather terrifying if you're not comfortable in enclosed spaces. When you get to the top you're in a constant state of vertigo, and the floor isn't leveled.
The view of the city was amazing at sunset. All of the staff was pleasant and knew their facts about the park.
We didn't have time to go inside, but the view from the outside was worth going for alone. You can see it from most directions due to the size. It is a great place to take pictures; right on the river. It even had a nice breeze.
As a boy, I watched it being constructed from my home of Collinsville, Illinois.
This place was awesome. At the bottom of the Arch there is a museum with a restaurant, gift shop and with Native American and slavery history. The museum is very nice. At the top of the Arch it was very warm with some history of the Arch and you can see over the City. Other than that nothing else to to see. If you are claustrophobic you may not like the ride up.It takes 4 minutes for this little pod you are sitting in to go up and 3 minutes to come down
Fantastic place to go!
Thank you guys amazing customer service
Wonderful and awesome place! Sit down and relax underneath the arch and enjoy the atmosphere! We loved it!
Too much political overtones. I like these places to highlight the facts ... only. Someone who didn't like Europeans was writing the scripts. The tangible material was fine. It was laid out pretty good.
Pretty cool view. Bigger than expected. Was limited to what we could visit do to construction. Beware of elevators if your claustrophobic. Worth touring
The Gateway arch is so much fun. I'd suggest going on days the Cardinals have a home game bec6it reduces the crowd size. The views are great but the lines can be slow to ride the elevator up the Arch. Great views for the city
1st time there in 9 years or more. Very clean. Just impressed with the area. Great day went walking. Love paths. Like the plaques with info. Designed well. You can easily walk around with strollers or bike. You gotta love St. Louis and the free stuff. For me not sure what was bad or how to improve.
We visited the Gateway Arch in August 2019. The park is expansive and beautiful. We went first thing in the morning and did not encounter much wait or tourists. The new museum is HUGE! So much to look at. We went straight in and did the Arch before the rest. Jeremy was our guide and he is quite a comedian. He will make you laugh and he knows his stuff! Just make sure he has his coffee :) Emily who I think was his supervisor was also very nice and was working on getting him his coffee.
The gift shop has so many cool items and trinkets. The only thing lacking to us was nothing Baseball / St. Louis Cardinals. We have a family member who collects baseball items from different cities and we didn't have a chance to go visit many other places.
All in all a great visit. Also, get the National Parks Passport and stamp it upstairs in the lobby. We have started ours that day. So cool!
Hats off to the great monument...enjoyed the ride and view from the top
So much interesting history! Loved the use of technology used to engage those of all ages!
The elevator to the observatory is not for claustrophobics but is doable. Great experience
It is amazing! The exhibits are so accessible. They are for all ages! No crowding, and mask must be worn. It is a must see even without the tram running.
I love going here! You can ride bikes, run trails, go up in the arch, this place is definitely a tourist attraction! Here are a few of my pics and some of my favorite angles shooting the arch.
The arch grounds are one of my favorite places to run!
Check out the worlds second largest fountain in the East St. Louis Park across the river.
A Great place to see how America was built. The Arch is an engineering marvel ... Don t miss the movie or the ride.
Loved it! A must see if you re in the St. Louis area. Great new visitor center too.
What a super neat experience! Do not recommend going up in the Arch for those with claustrophobics (seriously). But for everyone else, it s amazing!!
The museum is beautiful and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We were just so impressed!
Awesome place to visit. Take the egg to the top. Watch the 30 min video at the end. Take a walk around the city and view it from different angles. Cool thing to see.
The experience was wonderful, from the museum to the ride on the arch which allows you to get a great view of the place. The gift shop has a great selection of items to buy amd their fudge is great.
Love this site and sight. Great stop for a memorable photo with family and friends.
I have been coming here all my life and never attempted this until today. It wasn't so bad. Very clean place and the workers were polite.
I'm from Chicago & came to visit St.Louis for the 1st time & the Arch was really great! Awesome views!
Was my first time inside after the renovation....I am very impressed with the way it turned out. Next time I'm going to the top!!!!
