2-23-20 - My wife and I went to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater show, last day, at the Fox Theater. Many people were there, including a younger generation who may have never experienced the show before, let alone a show at the Fox Theater. Arrived early, and parked at a Fox event parking garage for $20, down the street but not too far away. The parking attendant was very courteous and friendly. And met some friendly people on the way to the show as well. There were many people purchasing tickets there. The staff from outside to inside were very courteous and helpful. Security helped to make entering as seamless as possible. The Ushers from the door to everywhere inside helped more than they will know assisting us and others to get to and from seats and destinations within. Inside the building was just as I remembered. The one thing if I could change would be the seating. Nicely arranged, but if you have taller patrons or those of equal height viewing becomes a shifting of the neck or head depending on where you sit. We sat in Curtain D, row CC, on the right side of the auditorium. Seats 28 and 26. It was a virtual head shifting. But fortunately my wife asked during the first intermission, since it wasn't sold out, if we could sit further back, and they obliged. We were able to enjoy the rest of the show knowing why we were clapping. I would recommend a show here and even volunteering ones time to serve there.
